Yunara Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths

Yunara has great synergy with a ton of different Supports. This makes her a great solo-queue champion as she can be played with basically anyone.

She is also very effective in team fights, thanks to her kit. Her Cultivation of SpiritQ in particular can be extremely strong when enemies are grouped.

One of her strengths is that she has a wide range of utility in her kit. She has a slow on her Arc of Judgement / Arc of RuinW, her Kanmei’s Steps / Untouchable ShadowE makes her ghosted, and when empowered, can be used to get over walls. She also deals mixed damage (with her Cultivation of SpiritQ), which will help versus tanks who have stacked pure armor.

Weaknesses

While she does have a lot of utility, her Kanmei’s Steps / Untouchable ShadowE only allows her to get over walls when she has her Ultimate activated first. Keep this in mind when escaping sticky situations.

You need to have a Support who is on the same page as you. While you do have great synergy, if the person playing the Support isn’t good, you’re going to struggle in the early game.

Yunara is quite squishy and doesn’t buy much, if any defensive items. This will make her vulnerable to all-ins, and burst champions such as Mages or Assassins like Syndra or Zed.

Game plan
Early game
0 - 15 min
Yunara is Average

Get level 2 first and look for a favourable trade with the enemy. Stack your Cultivation of SpiritQ on the minion wave and then level up and activate your Arc of Judgement / Arc of RuinW to get a huge health advantage at level 2.

After destroying the bottom lane tower, rotate to the mid lane and try to take that tower. This will open up the map and give your team a gold lead.

Whenever you want to trade with the enemy in any matchup, the key is to get your Cultivation of SpiritQ stacked as much as possible first. This will significantly enhance your ability to win trades and battles against the enemy.

Mid game
15 - 25 min
Yunara is Average

Stick with your Support during the mid-game. Yunara is really vulnerable if she is left alone, so make sure you're with someone else, or not pushed too far up, so you can get killed by the enemy.

Look for picks with your Support and Jungler during the mid-game. Getting kills and picking people off could help you get major objectives like the Baron or Rift Herald.

Yunara is very gold-reliant. It is essential to continue collecting gold and farming those minions. Aim for 100 minions per 10 minutes if you can. This will help you obtain your core items more quickly.

Late game
25+ min

During the late-game, remember to always stick with your allies. If you get caught off guard or die, you’ve essentially cost the team the fight or major objectives, so always stay with multiple people.

Stand towards the back end of your team near your Support. Avoid walking too far away from anyone in the late game.

Ensure you activate your Ultimate at the correct time. You could use your Kanmei’s Steps / Untouchable ShadowE to gain distance, activate your Ultimate and then press E again to create a wider gap to keep you alive for longer in the late-game!

Power Spikes
Early game0 - 15 min

Your first power spike is level 2, as you can go for a strong trade with your Arc of Judgement / Arc of RuinW and then Cultivation of SpiritQ auto-attacks.

At level 6, you will unlock your Ultimate, which will make you much stronger in those 2v2 settings.

Yunara will always be stronger when she has purchased her first component item. It will increase your damage output in trades and help you get kills.

Mid game15 - 25 min

You will max out your first ability (your Cultivation of SpiritQ) at level 9. This will help increase your damage output and make trading and laning much easier.

During the mid-game, Yunara and her team will be grouping. Yunara is good in team fights due to her Cultivation of SpiritQ, Ultimate and the items she buys. At this stage of the game, group with your team to dominate the enemy.

At level 11, Yunara will put another point in her Ultimate. This will make her abilities (especially her Arc of Judgement / Arc of RuinW and Kanmei’s Steps / Untouchable ShadowE) stronger, and it will also increase her survivability.

Late game25+ min

Just like the mid-game, Yunara excels in team fights and grouping with her team. She is at her strongest when she has multiple items, lots of levels and gold!

At level 13, you’ll have both your Cultivation of SpiritQ and Arc of Judgement / Arc of RuinW maxed out. These will give you great stats in team fights and help you get more kills.

At level 16, you’ll put the third point in your Ultimate. This will give you max benefits for both your Arc of Judgement / Arc of RuinW and Kanmei’s Steps / Untouchable ShadowE, and make you stronger in team fights.
