Black Myth: Zhong Kui just released over 15 minutes of brand new gameplay, that showcases an extended look at the narrative, and also combat! Let's go over everything we've learned in the lead up to the launch!
Overview
New Look At Zhong Kui
Recently released, this new look at gameplay in the upcoming sequel to Black Myth: Wukong showcases some unbelievable visuals. For a large portion of the gameplay we're treated to shots that are seemingly pre-rendered cutscenes, some of which you may expect don't represent the actual gameplay. As it would have it though, these shots are all captured live, via cutscenes you'll see in the final product.

During the gameplay, we also get shown a glimpse at some of the unique combat in the game, including a section where the main protagonist uses his blade to set a group of trees on fire. Following this, he consumes the flames of the trees to ignite his blade, which is then used to devastating effect in combat.

Lastly to cap off the extended look at this highly anticipated sequel, we get full gameplay of an intense boss fight. It looks like the fight scenes in Zhong Kui will be remniscent to that of the original, giving players the edge of their seat gameplay they crave. One can only imagine the difficulty some of these fights will pack for fans of the original.

It seems clear from the gameplay shown off that your abilities will also play a large role in most of the combat within the game, in addition to tight dodge windows. Though it's not entirely apparent yet just how much depth there will be with your choices there, it's safe to assume that the creativity for them will be just as deep as it were in Wukong.
Conclusion
While Zhong Kui still doesn't have an exact release date, the game is shaping up to be an absolute hit. Extended showcases of the game like this only instill more hype in fans, and display not only major leaps in graphical fidelity, but also gameplay polish. From what we could gather through comments on this gameplay showcase, many fans were extremely happy with this showing.
