Magic DPS Seer Trios Build Guide - Mistfall Hunter

Overview

Seer is a powerful magic caster capable of dealing strong ranged damage while supporting themselves and their allies with shields and healing. This build improves both sides of the class, giving you enough damage to pressure enemies while making you extremely difficult to take down.

With increased Attack, stacking Magic Damage and shorter skill cooldowns, the build performs well in both solo and trio matches. It also strengthens Seer's shields and healing, allowing you to keep yourself and your teammates alive throughout extended fights.

Gear

Here is the Gear Code for the main Purple version of this build:

Purple Loadout: 5H68cBdOTxke3wo8GZaEBv9jYehPKfrCv84XcvnXeZoDA

This code allows you to copy the items and gems needed for the build. To import the code, simply do the following:

  • Open the Prepare tab in the character screen when in base.
  • Select Manage/Import at the bottom left.
  • Navigate to Import Loadout and paste the code.

Affixes

Purple Loadout

  • Valor 7 – Increases your Attack and provides additional Defense Penetration. Attack is particularly important for Seer because it improves your damage alongside the strength of your healing and shields.

  • Aegis 7 – Provides a huge increase to Defense alongside additional Physical Resistance. Seeralready has several ways to recover Health, making the added damage reduction more valuable than simply increasing your maximum Health.

  • Fervor 7 – Attacking an enemy increases your Physical and Magic Damage, stacking up to five times. Punishment Rune and your regular attacks can quickly build these stacks, giving you a large damage increase during longer fights.

  • Stoic 6 – Increases your Physical and Magic Resistance when your Health becomes low. It can also restore some of your Health, giving you another opportunity to recover and continue fighting.

  • Seamless 5 – Increases Skill Cooldown Speed and reduces your active cooldowns whenever you knock down a Gyldhunter. This is especially powerful in trios, where securing a knockdown can quickly return your most important support abilities.

Victory Wine:

Aegis +2 Fervor +2 Stoic +2 Seamless +2

Your gear only needs Aegis 5, Fervor 5, Stoic 4 and Seamless 3, as the Level 4 Victory Wine provides the remaining levels. Valor already reaches Level 7 through the equipment itself.

Seer has several sources of healing through Healing Art, potions and the Springhorn. This makes
Aegis more valuable than Tenacious for this setup, as reducing incoming damage generally provides more reliable survivability than simply increasing your maximum Health.

Green Loadout

When using Green gear, aim for Aegis 4 and Valor 4. Use Victory Wine to increase both affixes to Level 5, unlocking additional survivability, Attack and Defense Penetration.

These are the two most important affixes for the build, so it is better to commit fully to them rather than spreading your available affix levels across several weaker bonuses.

Blue Loadout

With Blue gear, aim for Aegis 6, Valor 6 and Fervor 4. Prioritize increasing Aegis and Valor to Level 7 with Victory Wine before putting your remaining bonuses into Fervor.

If you have access to a stronger Victory Wine, you can work towards Fervor 6 and begin investing in Seamless. However, maximizing your core damage and defensive affixes should remain the priority at this stage.

Skills

Seer uses a combination of Rune Pillar and Divine Arts to deal damage, protect allies and control enemy players.

Rune Pillar

  • Punishment Rune
  • Shelter Rune
  • Burst Rune

Punishment Rune provides constant pressure against enemy players and bosses. Its repeated attacks help you deal additional damage while also building Fervor stacks.

Shelter Rune grants a powerful shield that can protect you or your allies. Its shield value scales with your offensive stats, which makes the additional Attack provided by Valor even more important.

Burst Rune provides another source of damage and crowd control. It is particularly useful when playing solo, where you need to contribute more of your own damage.

When playing in trios, you can replace Burst Rune with Windwalker Rune. Windwalker Rune reduces the enemy’s Dodge Distance while increasing it for your allies, making it easier for your team to catch and eliminate retreating opponents.

Divine Arts

  • Wind Surge
  • Healing Art

Wind Surge knocks enemies away, providing Seer with an important defensive tool when opponents get too close. When combined with Opportunist Strike, it can also begin a powerful crowd control combination.

Healing Art provides another large source of recovery for you and your allies. It is useful in both solos and trios, especially when combined with Deep Healing.

You can replace Healing Art with Psionic Shield if you want to invest even more heavily into shielding. However, Healing Art is the more flexible choice and gives the build another reliable way to recover after taking damage.

Talents

These talents improve Seer's Psionic Orb, strengthen its shields and healing, and provide additional crowd control:

  • Potent Wounding – Allows you to chant Psionic Orb by holding your heavy attack, consuming Psionic Energy to fire a more powerful Enhanced Orb.
  • Enhanced Tracking – After firing two Enhanced Orbs, your next one gains greatly increased flight speed and tracking. This makes the fully prepared orb much harder for enemies to avoid.
  • Synergy – Causes Punishment Rune to launch an additional attack when your own attack hits an enemy. This significantly improves the rune’s pressure and helps build Fervor faster.
  • Self-Preservation – Grants you a shield whenever you perform a Breakaway. The shield scales with Attack, providing another reason to prioritize Valor.
  • Potent Sanctuary – Increases the strength of the shields you apply, improving both Shelter Rune and the shield provided by Self-Preservation.
  • Fortified Guard – Further increases the shield value provided by Shelter Rune, making it much more effective at protecting you and your teammates.
  • Deep Healing – Causes Healing Art to restore additional Health based on how much Health the target is missing. This makes the ability much stronger when used on a critically wounded ally.
  • Opportunist Strike – Enemies hit by Wind Surge are stunned. Hitting them shortly afterwards with an Enhanced Orb extends the stun based on the amount of Psionic Energy consumed.

Tips & Tricks

  • Place Punishment Rune at the beginning of a fight. Its attacks help build Fervor while Synergy causes it to fire additional projectiles alongside your own attacks.
  • Use Wind Surge to knock an aggressive enemy away and stun them with Opportunist StrikeFollow it with a fully prepared Enhanced Orb to extend the crowd control and create a strong damage window.
  • Take advantage of Seamless during trio fights. Knocking down a Gyldhunter reduces the remaining cooldown of your active skills, potentially returning an important heal, shield or crowd control ability much sooner.
  • Charge your heavy attacks while moving around the map. You can store up to two Psionic Energy charges, allowing you to enter a fight with your strongest Enhanced Orb already prepared.
  • As your team’s healer, staying alive should always be your priority. Use Shelter Rune, Healing Art and Self-Preservation to protect yourself before attempting to rescue an exposed teammate.
