Ranged Seer Build Guide for Chaos Mode - Mistfall Hunter

Updated on Aug 10, 2026

Overview

There are plenty of classes in Mistfall Hunter that make use of close quarters combat. If you want to try something a little different, this Seer build makes use of Ranged Attacks for its method of dealing damage, weaving in skills such as the Intimidation Rune.

Made in collaboration with Firebox. Check out his video for more information and demonstrations of this build!

Gear

Here is the Gear Code for this build: 5H68bIRfp6B9iqhISnzFZZYXn8FvBgUVsQVYZEjnh99Q8

This code will allow you to copy the items and gems to obtain the optimal loadout. To import a code, simply do the following:

  • Open the Prepare tab in the character screen when in base.
  • Select Manage/Import at the bottom left
  • Navigate to Import Loadout, and paste the code.

Affixes

This build uses the following affixes. There are some choices in here that could be swapped out like the 1 point in Aegis, but overall its best to follow the recommended spec:

Overall Affixes

  • Valor 6 - Attack +9%. Defense Penetration +1.8%
    • Take this for the added benefit it provides to your damage output.
  • Ethereal 5 - Fall Damage Resistance +100%. Falling no longer staggers you.
    • Reducing your fall damage is a surpisingly useful benefit in the game, making this affix very valuable for the build.
  • Stoic 5 - Physical Resistance +5.5%. Magic Resistance +5.5%. Restores 15% Health.
    • This affix is used for survivability, more specifically the low health restoration, which will aid you in combat.
  • Seeker 5 - Movement Speed +6%, stacking up to 2 times.
    • Helpful for keeping up with faster classes, and just general movement speed overall.
  • Eloquence 5 - Chanting Speed +15%. Chanting cannot be interrupted by minor impacts.
    • Specifically handy to prevent your attacks being interrupted by minor enemy attacks.
  • Elusive 5 - Dodge Energy Cost Reduction +20%.
    • Much like Seeker, this will help for keeping up with faster classes during combat, as you'll be dodging quite often.
  • Aegis 1 - +15 Defense.
    • Serves as a throwaway point. Just a way to add some extra defense to your spec.

Victory Wine:

Valor +1. Ethereal +2. Seeker +2. Eloquence +1. Elusive +2.

Skills

Reverent

  • Punishment Rune
  • Intimidation Rune
  • Burst Rune
  • Wind Surge
  • Healing Art

The first two skills to go over is the Punishment Rune and Intimidation Rune. Together they serve as a way to auto-damage enemies and also knock them back. In addition to this, Burst Rune serves as sort of a mine for enemies to trigger, which adds an extra portion of damage when they're caught by it. Burst Rune also staggers enemies, which is particularly nice in combat.

Lastly, Wind Surge helps for knocking players back, and Healing Art is a fantastic skill mainly for the ability to heal, and remove debuffs such as bleed from you.

Talents

  • Potent Wounding - Results in your charged left click attack dealing a higher total damage amount.
  • Enhanced Tracking - Great for giving your orb better flight speed and enhanced tracking, which can be needed when facing enemies who move around super quickly within the environment.
  • Decelerate - Using your Intimidation Rune will now slow down for a short period of time, which in turn then makes it harder for them to escape your other attacks.
  • Sustain - Helps a lot for recovering Psionic Energy, which in turn helps you out overall since it's the resource you consume with your attacks and towers.
  • Self-Preservation - When performing Breakaway you'll gain a shield. This is a super strong talent that should not be skipped for this build.
  • Deep Healing - Basically gives you more health recovery from your Healing Art, further increasing how good that skill is for your setup.
  • Opportunist Strike - Stuns enemies you hit with your Wind Surge provided you follow up quick enough after with an Enhanced Orb. Furthermore, your Psionic Energy will increase the time the stun lasts for, generating some synergy between the talents and skill choices in the build.

Tips & Tricks

  • One of the main benefits of your Burst Rune is being able to use it as almost area denial. Enemies who are experienced enough will try to avoid it, which can be leveraged by yourself to shutdown potential pushes.
  • The range of your Punishment Rune is surprisingly large given the space that engagements within fights takes place in. Use this to your advantage to dish out punishment onto your foes, while keeping them slowed with a skill like Burst Rune in addition to the slowing of the Intimidation Rune granted by Decelerate
  • Enemies trying to hide around corners or in rooms to try and ambush you have one giant nasty surprise waiting for them. Your Intimidation Rune can be casted around corners, and from a far distance. You can use this to open engagements without taking any punishment. It will also serve as a pretty reliable method to get the enemy you're engaging to move.
