Blackarrow Trios DoT Build Guide - Mistfall Hunter

Blackarrow is one of the fastest and most mobile ranged classes in Mistfall Hunter. This build combines powerful Bow Attacks with several damage over time effects, allowing you to remain at a safe distance while constantly pressuring your enemies.

With increased Movement Speed, faster Charging Speed and additional dodges, the build is perfect for kiting opponents and punishing anyone who struggles to close the gap.

These codes allow you to copy the items and gems needed for each version of the build. To import a code, simply do the following:

• Open the Prepare tab in the character screen when in base.
• Select Manage/Import at the bottom left.
• Navigate to Import Loadout and paste the code.

Purple Loadout

• Valor 7 - Increases your overall Attack while also providing Defense Penetration. This significantly improves your damage against heavily armoured targets.

• Ranged 7- Increases your damage while attacking from a distance and extends your effective range. When combined with Valor, it provides a huge increase to Black Arrow’s ranged pressure.

• Seeker 5 - Provides up to 12% increased Movement Speed, making it easier to create space and stay away from enemies. The extra speed also combines with the movement bonuses provided by your talents.

• Curse 5 - Increases the duration and effectiveness of the build’s debuffs. It is especially valuable for increasing the damage dealt by Spore Arrow’s repeated poison ticks.

• Focused 5 - Increases Bow Charging Speed while also improving your Movement Speed when charging an attack. This allows you to prepare fully drawn shots without becoming an easy target.

• Elusive 3 - Reduces the cost of dodging and helps compensate for Black Arrow’s limited natural dodges. This makes the class much smoother to play and provides more opportunities to activate Dodge Rapid Shot.

This setup does not invest heavily in defensive affixes because your Movement Speed and positioning are your main forms of protection. Seeker can be replaced with a more damage focused option such as Strife, but the additional mobility makes the build safer and easier to play.

Victory Wine:

Valor +2 Ranged +2 Focused +2 Elusive +2

If you are still working towards the full Purple setup, the Green and Blue versions provide cheaper alternatives.

Green Loadout: Aim for Focused 5 and Elusive 5. Your gear only needs Focused 4 and Elusive 4, as Victory Wine provides +1 to each affix.

Blue Loadout: Aim for Ranged 5, Focused 5, Curse 5, Seeker 4 and Elusive 3. Use Victory Wine with Ranged +1, Focused +2, Curse +2 and Seeker +1 to complete the setup.

Blackarrow's arrows provide a mixture of burst damage, poison and constant pressure. Your active skills then help create space, control enemies and finish weakened targets.

Arrow

• Spore Arrow
• Bloodfly Arrow
• Barbed Arrow

Spore Arrow creates a damaging poison area that becomes extremely powerful as your build improves. Always fire it at the ground beside your target rather than hitting them directly, as a direct hit will prevent the damaging area from activating correctly.

Bloodfly Arrow provides the build’s largest burst of damage. After hitting an enemy with it, switch to another arrow and land a fully drawn shot to activate Blood Infection and detonate the target.

Lastly, Barbed Arrow applies damage over time and punishes the target whenever they dodge. The initial damage is not particularly high, but it becomes much stronger when combined with the build’s other damage over time effects.

• Scattershot
• Rapid Arrows

Impact Grenade helps knock enemies away when they get too close. It can also push an opponent back into the damaging area created by Spore Arrow

Scattershot is another important “get away from me” ability that allows Blackarrow to create space and return to a safe distance.

Finally, Rapid Arrows fires several arrows in quick succession, making it excellent for dealing burst damage and finishing weakened opponents.

These talents improve Blackarrow's mobility, strengthen its damage over time effects and help you activate your skills more frequently.

• Pursuit Mark – Slows enemies when they attempt to chase you, making it easier to maintain the distance needed to benefit from Ranged.
• Pursuer – Increases your Movement Speed after hitting an enemy. This combines extremely well with Seeker and Pursuit Mark, allowing you to move faster while your opponent is slowed.
• Blood Infection – Allows you to detonate Bloodfly Arrow by switching arrows and landing a fully drawn follow-up shot. This creates the build’s main burst damage combination.
• Battle-fed (Blackarrow) – While carrying 2 Hunter Arrows, hitting an enemy with a shot reduces the remaining cooldown of all your skills.
• Lasting Pain – Hitting an enemy with a shot increases the duration of all active debuffs, allowing Barbed Arrow and Spore Arrow to remain effective for longer.
• Dodge Rapid Shot – Changes your dodge into a Rapid Shot, allowing you to fire your currently equipped arrow immediately after dodging. This adds damage while helping you reposition.
• Laceration – Strengthens Barbed Arrow by crowd controlling enemies after their dodges have been exhausted. Players who repeatedly dodge while marked can be punished extremely hard.
• Lingering – Increases the duration of Spore Arrow, keeping its poison area active for longer and adding more damage ticks.

• Hit an enemy with Bloodfly Arrow, switch to another arrow and land a fully drawn shot to activate Blood Infection and deal a large burst of damage.
• Apply Barbed Arrow before an enemy begins dodging. Every dodge they perform while marked causes them to take additional damage.
• Stay near the edge of your effective range. Ranged allows you to maintain high damage from farther away, including the damage dealt by your poison effects.
• Use Impact Grenade to push an enemy into Spore Arrow's poison area. Scattershot can then help you create additional space if they continue chasing
