Overview

Here is an overview of all the classes and factions in Gears of War: E-Day Horde Siege mode. In this guide we'll go over a short description on what the class is, what they do, and some general gameplay tips.

Classes and Factions in Gear of War: E-Day Horde Siege mode

Horde Siege features four playable classes:

  • Assault
  • Breacher
  • Marksman
  • Medic

Each class has an access to a different piece of Tactical Gear, as well as a different weapons that you can change as you go through the character progression unlocked by reaching higher levels.

Each class features a piece of COG Armor that you can customize to improve your core capabilities; some armor mods are universally present among all classes, while the rest of them is class-specific.

Assault

Class Overview

Here's a brief overview of the Assault Class:

The Assault Class anchors the frontline at mid-range, fighting from cover with sustained fire. It deploys the Sonic Disruptor to stun and breakenemy lines, opening flanks and executions.

Starting Equipment

Here's the starting equipment for the Assault Class.

  • Primary: Prototype Lancer
  • Secondary: Gnasher
  • Equipment 1: Smoke Grenade
  • Sidearm: Snub

Note: Adding a mod to a weapon applies it across all Classes.

Why would you chose this class? If you like overall versitility and having strenghts in both offensive and supporting ways, making you the "jack of all trades" of your squad, this class is for you.

Breacher

Class Overview

Here's a brief overview of the Breacher Class

The Breacher Class pushes hard into the fight, killing at point-blank range while staying mobile and collapsing enemy fronts. It uses the Injector to refill health and reduce incoming damage with Adrenaline.

Starting Equipment

Here's the starting equipment for the Breacher Class.

  • Primary: Gnasher
  • Secondary: Lancer MK1
  • Equipment 1: Smoke Grenade
  • Sidearm: Snub

Note: Adding a mod to a weapon applies it across all Classes.

Why would you chose this class? If you like rushing enemies straight on with serving as a sort of "tank" of your squad, with little care for how many times you get downed, this class will be perfect for you.

Marksman

Class Overview

Here's a brief overview of the Marksman Class

The Marksman Class strikes from the backline with precision fire, eliminating high-value targets at range. It deploys the Pulse Drone to reveal enemies, boosting the squad's visibility.

Starting Equipment

Here's the starting equipment for the Marksman Class.

  • Primary: Longshot
  • Secondary: Hammerburst
  • Equipment 1: Smoke Grenade
  • Sidearm: Snub

Note: Adding a mod to a weapon applies it across all Classes.

Why would you chose this class? If you have a power fantasy of one-shotting enemies with satisfying headshots, while providing the cover to your teammates from far away, this class is perfect for you.

Medic

Class Overview

Here's a brief overview of the Medic Class

The Medic Class moves to critical fronts, winning battles with mid-range lethality and toughness under fire. It deploys the Stim Vaporizer to heal and revive, keeping the squad in action.

Starting Equipment

Here's the starting equipment for the Medic Class.

  • Primary: Hammerburst
  • Secondary: Gnasher
  • Equipment 1: Smoke Grenade
  • Sidearm: Snub

Note: Adding a mod to a weapon applies it across all Classes.

Why would you chose this class? If you are a fan of helping your team, keeping them alive in the toughest scenarios and the total damage dealt at the end of the match is of little concern to you, this class is for you.
