Top 5 Best Endgame Weapons In Aliens Fireteam Elite 2

If you're looking for weapons that can carry you through the endgame, these are five of the strongest options I've been using.

The BD48, F44A, Alamein Revolver Rifle, Classic Pulse Rifle, and Storm Surge all excel in different areas, from deleting elite enemies to clearing entire hordes. More importantly, they become significantly stronger when you combine the right attachments, Traits, and Augments.

Here are the setups I'm currently using and why they work.

BD48 Heavy Rifle

The BD48 is one of my favourite all-round primary weapons for the endgame. It performs extremely well against Xenomorphs, Synths, and Pathogens, while offering enough stopping power and damage to handle both hordes and elite enemies.

The weapon has three fire-rate settings — 400, 800, and 1,200 RPM — with recoil becoming increasingly aggressive as you increase the fire rate. Personally, I stick with 800 RPM. It gives me plenty of firepower without making the recoil unnecessarily difficult to manage.

For the muzzle, I'm using Nagpur Shroud, which gives 40% increased stopping power for 7 seconds every third hit. With the BD48's huge 200-round magazine, this procs constantly and makes the weapon fantastic for staggering tougher enemies. Crushers, Praetorians, Spitters and Exploders can all be kept under control when you're consistently putting rounds into them.

I'm also using Combat Actuator, which gives 5% increased damage on kill, stacking up to five times, along with additional Bullet Penetration. At maximum stacks, that's 25% increased damage, while the penetration helps the BD48 chew through hordes.

For the optic, I prefer the Green Dot Sight, giving 10% Weak Point Damage and 10% Weak Point Stopping Power. You could go for something with better handling, but I find the additional weak-point bonuses fit the weapon nicely.

For the Augment, Gray Market Rounds is incredibly difficult to beat. Every shot has a random damage value between 50% and 250%, and with 200 rounds in the magazine, you'll get plenty of high-damage hits throughout a full mag. It's particularly nasty when combined with a critical-hit-focused build.

Cryogenic Ammunition is another option if you prefer crowd control. It allows you to freeze enemies but reduces your damage by 30%. I personally prefer using the BD48's stopping power to stagger and push enemies around rather than sacrificing damage, but either approach works.

For the Trait, I've been using Particle Emitter, which gives 1% increased damage per hit, stacking up to 20 times. This is particularly strong on Duelist when combined with Stay on Target. You're effectively getting 20% increased damage from Particle Emitter and another 20% from Stay on Target, giving the BD48 some serious sustained damage.

F44A Pulse Rifle

If the BD48 is an all-rounder, the F44A Pulse Rifle is your dedicated bullet hose.

This thing is built for mowing down huge numbers of Xenomorphs and Pathogens, with a massive 450-round magazine and 900-round reserve. Its onboard Smart Targeting is arguably its defining feature, allowing you to hold down the trigger and let the rifle do much of the work.

It's fantastic for shutting down corridors and making hordes feel considerably less threatening.

I've built a Duelist setup around this weapon that absolutely destroys higher difficulties. The idea is to stack as much damage and critical-hit potential as possible.

For the muzzle, I'm using Boosted Flash Hider, which gives 30% Critical Hit Chance and 40% Critical Hit Damage on kill for 10 seconds, with a 20-second cooldown. That effectively gives you 10 seconds with the buff followed by 10 seconds without it.

Combat Actuator is once again a great choice, providing 5% increased damage per kill up to five stacks, alongside Bullet Penetration. That gives you another 25% damage when fully stacked.

For the barrel, I'm using Miller Twist Rifling, which provides 7.5% Critical Hit Chance, 7.5% Weapon Range and 7.5% Handling. It's a great all-round option without introducing any major negatives.

I'm also using Particle Emitter as the Trait, giving up to 20% increased damage after building the stacks through consecutive hits. Combine that with Stay on Target on Duelist and Combat Actuator, and you've got three separate damage bonuses working together.

Add Gray Market Rounds into the mix and the F44A can produce some ridiculous numbers simply because you're firing so many bullets.

The F44A works on every class, but Duelist is where this setup really shines.

Alamein Revolver Rifle

If precision gameplay is more your thing, the Alamein Revolver Rifle is an excellent DMR for taking down elite enemies.

It's accurate, powerful and has excellent ergonomics, making it particularly satisfying to use. It also works extremely well against Synths, where you often have enough space and time to line up those headshots.

This is essentially an elite-sniping weapon for your squad. It has excellent Weak Point and stopping power potential, allowing you to put serious pressure on tougher targets.

For the muzzle, I'm using Nagpur Shroud again for its 40% stopping power bonus every third hit. Combat Actuator is also being used here for its stacking damage bonus and Bullet Penetration.

For the optic, I'm using Triangulation Sight, giving 10% Weak Point Damage, 10% Weak Point Stopping Power, along with reduced spread and additional weapon range. I like this because it improves the things the Alamain is already good at without introducing a major downside.

The Augment is Hollow Point Rounds, giving a huge 120% Weak Point Damage bonus and 125% Weak Point Stopping Power bonus. It's a very natural fit for a weapon that's all about landing precise shots on elite enemies.

The Trait I'm using is the Classic Pulse Rifle Trait, primarily because of the Alamein's reload. As a revolver-style weapon, it reloads one round at a time, so anything that speeds that process up is extremely valuable.

I've also got a Hunter build in the works around this weapon, so there's plenty more potential here if you're looking to build specifically around precision gameplay.

Classic Pulse Rifle

Don't sleep on the Classic Pulse Rifle.

Much like the F44A, it's excellent at clearing hordes, but I actually find it more versatile because of its higher base damage per shot. It can still shut down corridors while also performing better against tougher enemies.

It also performs better against Synths, giving it an advantage over the F44A in situations where raw bullet volume isn't enough.

And then you've got the alternate fire.

The Classic Pulse Rifle comes with a four-shot grenade launcher, which gives you another excellent tool for dealing with particularly spicy horde situations. You can switch back and forth between the rifle and launcher depending on what you're fighting.

For the build, I'm once again going for critical-hit and damage scaling. Boosted Flash Hider gives 30% Critical Hit Chance and 40% Critical Hit Damage on kill, while Combat Actuator gives up to 25% increased damage alongside Bullet Penetration.

I'm also using Miller Twist Rifling for another 7.5% Critical Hit Chance, plus Weapon Range and Handling.

For the Trait, the BD16 Begoh Trait gives 6.5% Critical Hit Chance, which works particularly well if you're already investing in additional Critical Hit Chance through your Perks.

And yes, I'm using Gray Market Rounds again.

With a weapon that has a high magazine capacity, the random damage variation becomes incredibly effective. When the various damage bonuses line up, you can produce some seriously chunky hits against all types of enemies.

You could also experiment with a fire-rate-focused setup if you'd rather increase the weapon's overall output. Both approaches work nicely.

Storm Surge SMG

Finally, we have the Storm Surge, which offers something a little different.

This SMG comes with Electric damage built in, making it an excellent choice against Synths. That doesn't mean it's useless against Xenomorphs, though — with the right setup, it still hits extremely hard.

The Storm Surge is at its best when played aggressively. Take it to the frontline, get in amongst the action and use its high fire rate to keep enemies under pressure.

For the muzzle, I'm using Boosted Flash Hider for the usual 30% Critical Hit Chance and 40% Critical Hit Damage on kill.

The more interesting choice is the magazine. I'm using Tactical Magazine, which improves reload speed and gives you increased fire rate after reloading. The buff lasts for five seconds, so you can empty a magazine, reload and immediately take advantage of the increased fire rate for your next burst.

For the optic, I'm using Compressed Optic, providing 7.5% Critical Hit Chance, 7.5% Critical Hit Multiplier and 5 Handling.

For the Trait, you have two good options. BD16 Begoh gives you another 6.5% Critical Hit Chance, while Particle Emitter gives you up to 20% increased damage through its stacking effect. If you're already heavily invested in critical hits, Begoh is a great choice; if you want more sustained damage, I'd lean toward Particle Emitter.

For the Augment, Gray Market Rounds is once again a strong option. However, if you want to lean even harder into the Storm Surge's fire rate, Custom Pressure Root System is worth experimenting with. It increasesthe fire rate, fire-rate limit and reload speed, making the weapon feel even more aggressive.

Which Weapon Should You Use?

There isn't one weapon here that completely dominates every situation. Each has a role where it really excels.

The BD48 is my pick for the best all-rounder. It combines huge magazine capacity, damage, stopping power and penetration into one incredibly reliable weapon.

The F44A is the choice for pure horde destruction. If you want to turn entire corridors into a wall of bullets, this is the weapon.

The Alamein Revolver Rifle is your precision option. It's ideal for players who enjoy picking apart elite enemies with accurate weak-point shots.

The Classic Pulse Rifle sits somewhere in the middle. It's extremely versatile, has strong damage per shot, performs well against Synths and gives you a grenade launcher for additional horde control.

And finally, the Storm Surge is the aggressive frontline option. Its built-in Electric damage and excellent fire rate make it particularly enjoyable when you want to get stuck into the action.

The biggest thing I'd recommend is experimenting with Traits and Augments rather than simply looking at the weapon in isolation. A weapon can become dramatically stronger when its bonuses are combined with the right class Perks and playstyle.
