Build Overview

Holy Light Aura, also known as Auradin, is one of the fastest Paladin builds.
By combining Holy Light Aura with Dawnfire, you melt everything around you just by walking through enemies. The aura damage clears packs quickly, making it an incredibly smooth and efficient farming build.
The build can also be combined with Ceh, allowing your wolves to benefit from Holy Light Aura as well and greatly expanding your damage coverage. With multiple auras active at once, entire screens of enemies disappear without ever needing to stop and attack.

  1. Use Arbiter of Justice on cooldown to maintain permanent Arbiter Form.
  2. Use Falling Star for mobility and to build and maintain Aspect of Ascension stacks.
  3. Use your Fanaticism Aura, Defiance Aura and Holy Light Aura during elite and boss fights, or against enemies that don’t die instantly. This activates Consecration from Sundered Night.

  5. Use Advance for mobility and to build and maintain Resolve stacks as needed.

For Lair Boss fights, replace Aspect of Celestial Strife with Virtuous Aspect for increased damage.

Armor: % Primary Core Stat > CDR / Attack Speed > rest
Weapon: Berserking > rest
Jewels: Kill Streak XP for leveling, otherwise personal preference

Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank increases base stats and all affixes by 1%, up to 25 ranks. At max Masterworking, one random affix receives a 50% bonus. This can include a Tempered affix or a Greater Affix. The boosted affix is highlighted in a different color.

Use the Masterworking menu at the Blacksmith. You can reset the final Masterwork, so feel free to reroll it until you hit one of the recommended stats for the extra 50% bonus.

Paragon Board

The priority is to unlock all the Legendary Nodes first, then unlock your Glyphs and their requirements. After that, spend the remaining points based on what you prefer. Nodes around the Glyph usually give more damage, while Max Life nodes are the best for toughness. Other Rare nodes can offer a bit of extra damage or toughness. The last points generally go into main stats.

Glyph leveling priority isn’t too strict:

  • Level all your Glyphs to 15 first, one by one.
  • Then take each Glyph to 46, one by one.
  • Once they’re all 46, level them evenly to 100, the order doesn’t matter too much.

How it Works

Progressing from T1 to T4

There’s only one variant for progressing from T1 to T4 because in Diablo 4 you can obtain all the best gear even in T1 — it’s just rarer. You can usually speed-farm T4 with basic Ancestral gear, even if you only have one Greater Affix.
Most of your damage comes from Paragon Points and Legendary Aspects. Unlocking the Legendary Nodes on your Paragon Board will give a huge power spike.

  1. The first thing you want to do is get the required items to start the build. At this point, you’re probably still using your 1–60 leveling setup.
Farm boss materials in Helltides or the Undercity with Titan Tributes, then kill T1 bosses to obtain the required Unique item. Once you get it, switch to the T1–T4 build variant.
  2. Once you have everything needed to get started, it's time to farm Paragon XP. Paragon farming is very efficient at this stage. Unlocking Legendary Nodes provides a huge power spike, each one giving roughly 60% increased damage.
  3. A good way to farm XP is by running Helltides to collect boss materials. Then kill Tormented Bosses on a difficulty you can clear comfortably. This gives a good amount of XP and rewards you with Unique items that you can use or sell if you trade.
  4. Running The Pit is also a great way to gain levels and Paragon XP. It will also allow you to level up your Glyphs, which provide another strong power spike when they reach level 15 and level 46. The goal is to clear Pit tiers in about 2–3 minutes, which allows you to level your Glyphs with a 70% success chance. Eventually you will hit a wall. When that happens, go back to farming Tormented Bosses. By repeating this loop, you will steadily upgrade your Glyphs, Paragon level, and gear.
  5. You can also Temper and Masterwork your gear if you need an extra power boost. At this stage, don’t worry about perfect rolls — focus on steady progression. Infernal Hordes, the Undercity runs Tribute of Refinement, and Treasure Breach Nightmare Dungeons are great ways to farm Obducite for Masterworking.
  6. Finally, start comparing your gear to the final build setup or an endgame version. This will help you identify which Greater Affixes (GAs) you should target while continuing to optimize your build.
