Blizzard

The Blizzard build will teach you all the Skills, Paragon, Aspects and Gear you need to run the Blizzard Sorcerer.

1. Cast Blizzard
2. Cast Unstable Currents
3. Cast all charges of Familiar
4. Cast Ice Blades
5. Cast Lightning Spear
6. Cast Ice Shards once every 5 seconds.

Blizzard Damage

Even though we will be mainly casting Blizzard we will be getting a huge chunk of our damage from Ice Spikes. Ice Spikes are spawned in several different ways depending on the variant you're running. See below.

Gear Set-up

Unique Set-up

For this set up, we're taking advantage of Blue Rose to help us spawn more Ice Spike on Lucky Hit chance. It also will give your Ice Spikes a chance to Explode Twice, significantly increasing your damage output. We pair that with Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop for some big damage, since we will be casting at least two different elemental types, Shock and Frost. If you'd like to add some additional range to your Area Of Effect clears for your Ice Spike explosions, you can add in Aspect of the Frozen Tundra instead of Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop.

This season we are adding in Hail of Verglas and weaving Ice Shards into our rotation for some extra big damage. As long as you cast Ice Shards at least once every 5 seconds you will maintain the extra damage from Hail of Verglas.

The real heavy hitter comes in the form of Orsivane which gives massive damage boosts for each Defensive Skill you leave off the bar. The great thing about this, is that you gain the Enchantment abilities for each of the Defensive Skills left off the bar i.e. Flame Shield Enchantment is Losing 30% of your life within 2 seconds automatically casts Flame Shield. This can only happen once every 21 seconds. Normally you need to have this equipped, but by using Orsivane you just automatically get that Enchantment to activate.

Mythic Set-up

For this set up, you'll have a choice. Hail of Verglas is the stronger option, but it does require you to maintain buffs. You can swap it out for Heir of Perdition . We're also replacing Blue Rose with the Ring of Starless Skies. This will not only add damage, but also help with Mana management as well. Lastly we replace out Chest Piece with Shroud of False Death. This is a really strong option as it adds +1 to all defensive and offensive Passives.

Mana Management

Early on, adding Resource Cost Reduction onto your gear will help a lot. You can also add on Mana Per Second. The Rune combinations below will also help you with you Mana issues.
