Introduction

Our wonderful Class Leads here at Mobalytics have broken down their thoughts on their classes in Season 11. We know it can be hard to keep up to date with every balance change of every single class. Therefore, this article is an all in one place to learn the ins and outs of how the meta is looking.

Want to play any of the builds talked about in this article? Check out our Build Guides here.

Barbarian

Barbarian Class Lead - Cliptis

The Barbarian is receiving a significant wave of buffs going into Season 11, and I am thrilled to jump into several builds—we are talking power, speed, and pure fun. Battle Lunging Strike is shaping up to be the standout Barbarian build of the season and, depending on how its scaling lands, potentially the strongest build across all classes. It offers high mobility, heavy-hitting damage, and the tools to push deep into both the Pit and the Tower. Close behind is the newly empowered Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian. With major buffs and uncapped maximum Fury scaling, Hammer of the Ancients is emerging as a strong S-tier contender capable of crushing all content with its devastating blows.

Speed remains one of the core sources of enjoyment in Diablo 4, and Leap has received notable changes through improved attack-speed scaling. You can now leap faster than ever, and when paired with Aspect of Earthquakes, the gameplay becomes truly ground breaking. Leap is one of the most entertaining abilities in the Barbarian kit—letting you zip across the map and obliterate any monster daring to keep up.

Druid

Druid Class Lead - Ace

For Druids, we have a fairly well balanced lineup of builds. They might not be the highest pushing options for Towers, but with content being delayered and Druids having a lot of builds with great AoE and high movement speed, I think we are eating well this season.

At the top of the tier list, I would place Pulverize for its sheer ability to deal high damage. This is very likely going to be a very strong build for Pit pushing, though Pulverize not my favorite for farming. Other builds that are very strong but offer better farming potential include Shred, Cataclysm, and Boulder. Shred is a very easy to play, easy to get-online build. It does not require players to stack critical strike chance thanks to its Keystone Passive, Lupine Ferocity. An alternative with similar mobility is Boulder: it moves using Shred for comparable speed, but it requires Dolmen Stone, does not come online as quickly as Shred, and offers better AoE though not as much as my next build. Cataclysm is my favorite choice for farming. It features auto-cast and auto-aim, maxed-out movement speed, and is overall just a great, hassle free build to play.

Necromancer

Necromancer Class Lead - Ruse

Necromancer has a decent meta shake up Season 11 with quite a few balance changes, a new build, and the return of some old builds. While Shadowblight is still an S-Tier build due to its incredible damage and speed farming potential, the loss of chaos powers brings it more in line with our other top tier builds.
This gives space for new builds to shine, and with the new Gravebloom Unique we finally have a pure Golems Blood build that is actually very strong. This variant of Golem is the first pure Golem build, choosing to sacrifice both Skeletal Mages and Skeletal Warriors to fully maximize the damage of the Golem. While this setup is potentially our best pit pusher, you also have the option of playing a Mage/Golem hybrid build for speed farming.

Bone Spear using the Blood Spear Unique Pants Indira's Memory is back and looking pretty solid as both a speed farming build and a decent pit pushing build. While it lacks the raw damage of the S tier builds, Bone Spear is likely going to be a solid A-tier build that has no problem destroying screens of enemies and easily maxing out your glyphs.

Bone Spirit also got an interesting new toy in the form of the new Melted Heart of Selig rework which now doubles your essence. On top of this Blizzard is once again claiming they fixed Rapid Ossification so one cast of Bone Spirit can proc Rapid Ossification multiple times. If true this opens up very interesting possibilities for both Bone Spirit and for the Shattered Spirit's Aspect Bone Splinters Builds.

There’s even some rumblings that Corpse Explosion might be borderline playable, which is pretty novel considering it has been nearly 2 years since Corpse Explosion was last playable. Overall there is a lot of interesting stuff happening for Necromancer and its definitely going to be a fun class to play in Season 11.

Rogue

Mobalytics Team Lead - M1PY

For Rogue, Death Trap is looking like our best overall build once again for any endgame content. While you may not be pushing to the absolute highest tier, farming and speeding through all activities in the game is possible at unmatched efficiency. However, it is now significantly easier for you to gear up a Death Trap Rogue, due to Cooldown Reduction now being available as affixes on Rings and Gloves.

Alternatively, if you prefer a more chill playstyle you may find yourself wanting to play Dance of Knives with Poison Trap instead. It is really easy to gear and does not require any Mythic Unqiues. Regular Dance of Knives with the new unique Pants Death's Pavane falls flat as these pants are extremely underwhelming.

Exclusively for Pushing, on PTR Heartseeker Rogue with Orphan Maker was one of the best choices. Even without S10's potent Chaos Uniques, you can still be able to utilize the strong synergy with Orphan Maker enabling a reload-based playstyle. This may not appeal to everyone and can feel a bit slow to play.

In the middle tiers Rogue is rather on the weaker side. A few outliers like the buffed Flurry Rogue clawing itself into the A-Tier, while Rain of Arrows greatly benefits from the screenclearing capability. Twisting Blades received a slight buff but that does not impact its overall tiering. Even though Penetrating Shot, Barrage and Rapid Fire can also utilize Orphan Maker, the synergy is not as strong without all of the additional support basic skills like Heartseeker have available to them. Lastly, a fun build to try remains Shadow Step allowing you to teleport from target to target in a fast paced fashion.

Sorcerer

For Sorcerer, Crackling Energy from Wizard's Ball Lightning with Esadora's Overflowing Cameo is looking like our best overall build for all endgame content. There is a chance Crackling is also one of the best builds in the entire game due to the strange scaling per rank in shock skill on your skill bar.

As for the rest of the lightning builds, Ball Lightning with Okun's Catalyst or Strike of Stormhorn have fallen from grace back to B tier after the loss of Chaos Banished Lord's Talisman and the seasonal powers. Chain Lightning is middle of the pack as well, but Axial Conduit remains a strong Item. Charged Bolts remains the forgotten middle child, but the Staff of Lam Esen is the best it has ever been. As for Arc Lash... new phone who dis? Forget about it.

For Pyromancy builds, Hydra with Ophidian Iris is once again the premier build due the scaling it has with Serpentine Aspect to shore up the bottom of S tier. However, the build is not for everyone as it's a rotational playstyle that some find clunky. Meteor is as strong as it has ever been in A tier, however the build is forever a passion project because of how clunky Starfall Coronet makes it.
Fireball remains an early game powerhouse and Infernal Horde destroyer, so look for Staff of Endless Rage and Gloves of the Illuminator early in your journey. Incinerate remains a strong leveling build that scales decently into the endgame, but typically the slower playstyle loses the merit it had once speed farming becomes the name of the game.

For Frost builds, Frozen Orb's Fractured Winterglass got a re-work that finally buffs Frozen Orb's damage per active summon so look for the Jon Snow build, but it is unlikely to break out of A tier. Blizzard looks to remain solidly in A tier as well, but god forbid an enemy moves out of your stacked up blizzards. Lastly, Ice Shards is in a decent spot, but looks to remain faithful to being B tier status.

As for Sorcerer as a whole, the developers heard our feedback loud and clear about the nerf to the Teleport enchant, but they decided to stay firm in their convictions and instead made a push with Raiment of the Infinite and The Oculus changes to get us onto a dedicated Teleport Skill build. Not likely to happen. In addition, they provided another one-two-punch by nerfing the Protection passive in half, which drastically reduces our barriers from cooldowns and intensifies our reliance on Ice Armor. There is good news however, the newly added Orsivane Unique Mace grants 40% damage per missing defensive skill on your bar, while also granting the Enchantment for free. So look for it on just about every build.

Spiritborn

Spiritborn Class Lead - Imortilize

Spiritborn is looking as strong as ever in Season 11 with multiple builds that can smash all content with ease. Eagle Evade is again an extremely strong build offering one of the fastest ways to level your character as well as some newly found endgame power.

The Rod of Kepeleke is flying high with a range of builds that can destroy any endgame content with ease. Crushing Hand and Thorn Payback are looking to be the two strongest builds with Crushing Hand being better at general content and Payback better at pit pushing.

Quill Volley, Rake and Touch of Death all follow closely behind, but all suffer from positioning difficulties. Thorns Rock Splitter continues a great levelling build as well as a strong endgame option for both Softcore and Hardcore, offering decent damage scaling and high defence, this build is a solid A tier build.
Stinger is viable but still lags behind the other Rod of Kepeleke builds due to the lack of an aspect that synergises with the Kepeleke and a worse Spirit Hall combination.

Balazan's Maxtlatl builds make a strong return scaling the Thorns and Poison damage that the Balazan's Maxtlatl Unique Pants offer. This also makes use of the newly buffed Shattered Vow Mythic Polearm so be sure to check this out if you find a good one of those!

Rushing Claw has been juiced up significantly in Season 11 with two versions available, one to scale the Jaguar Spirit Hall Beast Strike damage and another to scale itself. Neither are top tier but both are able to beat the endgame content with good enough setups.

Finally, Razor Wings looks to be in the same spot always with access to a lot more Cooldown Reduction making it even easier to get online. This can be an excellent farming build, but it wont excel in pit pushing. Overall Spiritborn is looking healthy with great potential to scale through Sanctifications.
