Season 7 Occult Gems Guide

Season 7 is here, and we are FINALLY getting a real season mechanic in the form of witchcraft powers!

But if you want to maximise these brand-new powers, you will need Occult Gems!

Occult Gems are powerful new gems you can socket into your jewelry to enhance your Witchcraft Powers and slay demons even faster.

The Tree of Whispers is the place to be, and Glena the Coven Jeweler is your one-stop shop for crafting Occult Gems.

Now Glena isn’t giving these gems out for free. You’re going to have to work for some crafting materials!

• Cut down Headrotten Bosses during Headhunt missions to obtain the missing Fugitive Heads.
• Restless Rot can be obtained by exchanging Fugitive Heads with Gelena or farming the new Headhunt zones.
• Collect Gem Fragments and Gem Dust as you journey through Season 7.
• Be sure to save up your materials to upgrade your Occult Gems to higher tiers.

Occult Gems come equipped with both 160 Armor and 8% All Resist, so there is no need to worry about diamonds and skulls in Season 7! Occult Gems also come in three familiar rarities:

Magic Occult Gems

• Elder Sigil - Your Agility, Corpse, Incarnate, Mastery, Weapon Mastery, and Wrath Skills deal 25% increased direct damage to Hexed enemies. This Skill now has a Potency skill tag instead of Potency.
• Heart of Anima - Your Non-Unique Psyche Witch Powers gain 25% Potency.
• Phantom String - You deal 15% increased Overpower damage to Hexed enemies.
• Pointed Finger- Your Summons deal 15% increased direct damage to Hexed Elites.
• Vulture Talon - While you have an Aura active, you deal Damage Over Time 50% faster.
• Wicked Pact - Your Non-Unique Eldritch Powers gain 25% Potency.

Rare Occult Gems

• Cornucopia - While you have three or more Eldritch Witch Powers slotted, gain 25% Movement Speed and 15% Critical Strike Chance.
• Hungering Void - While you have an Aura active, pull Nearby enemies toward you every 8 seconds.
• Killing Wind - While you have three or more Eldritch Witch Powers slotted, gain 25% Movement Speed and 15% Critical Strike Chance.
• Raging Enigma - Your Unique Witch Powers deal 40% increased damage.
• Spiral Coin - While you have three or more Psyche Witch Powers slotted, gain 60% Control Duration and 20% Lucky Hit Chance.
• Vile Phylactery - While you have a Witch Power with the Summon tag slotted, if you would take fatal damage, instead prevent that damage. Then, gain a Barrier equal to 100% of your Maximum Life and disable your Witch Powers with the Summon tag for 6 seconds. This can only occur once every 75 seconds.

Legendary Occult Gems

• Dust Stone - For each of your Auras and Hexes an enemy is afflicted by, they take 2.5% increased damage from you.
• Friend of the Bog - While you have three or more Growth & Decay Witch Powers slotted, you gain 8% Primary Stat, 10% Maximum Life, and are always Unhindered.
• Mind Wreath - While you have three or more Psyche Witch Powers slotted, the Cooldowns of your Defensive, Macabre, and Trap Skills are reduced by 20%.
• Moonlight Ward - For each Rank in your slotted Unique Witch Power, you gain 3% Damage Reduction and 0.5% Maximum Resistance to All Elements.
• Voice of the Stars - While you have an Aura active, your Ultimate Skills gain each Witchcraft tag and deal 10% increased damage.
• Witching Hour - While you have three or more Eldritch Witch Powers slotted, every 5 seconds, the next Core Skill you cast gains the Eldritch tag.

When crafting your Occult Gems, it’s important to consider what Witchcraft powers you plan to use and what type of build you plan to play.

One such example would be the Occult Gem Killing Wind, which requires you to slot in 3 Eldritch Witch powers to gain the benefits of the gem.

Another good example is the Occult Gem Phantom String, which requires enemies to be Hexed and work best in Overpower builds like Pulverize Druids or Quill Volley Spiritborns.
