The Cow King's Prime Rib's use has finally been discovered in Season 15 - and it's to give you access to another Secret Cow Island called the Bovine Sanctum! Here, you'll encounter plenty of Bovine Venders, a waypoint, and a large arena with an altar that will accept prime ribs: granting you access to a fight we all thought was temporary for Blizzcon - Moophisto!
Prime Rib Farming
Before we get started, you will need a total of 6 Prime Ribs to access the island and summon Moophisto. To do this, you need to access the Secret Cow Level and farm The Cow King. Depending on your Torment level, he'll drop atleast one. If you do not have access to the cow level - no worries, I can grant you access to the Bovine Sanctum waypoint directly; catch me live on Twitch for help!
Altar of the Heifer
The next step is to find a hidden Altar in the open world - the Altar of the Heifer. To do this, head to Tyrael's Encampent in Atanos. From there, you want to head east - right below Akarat's Bulwark leading to the Seers, where you'll find it at the edge of an elevated terrain. See the map here:
Upon offering a Prime Rib to the Altar, you'll be transported to the Bovine Sanctum - greeting you with multiple Bovine Vendors, and further up - you'll discover another Altar of the Heifer - this time requiring you to offer it 5 Prime Ribs
Moophisto, The Divine Bovine
After offering 5 Prime Ribs, we're greeted by a World Boss named Moophisto, the Divine Bovine. Unlock other World Bosses, Moophisto does not have a visible timer - but his 15 minute restriction is still active, requiring you to defeat him in time else he'll disappear. The fight is quite challenging - he will summon doors that release ethereal cows, hitting you and replacing your skills with the 'Moo' emote, requiring you to Moo 3 times before restoring that locked ability. He'll also do an AoE wave of bovines that's quite deadly, fill the screen with a holy attack that requires you to cover behind the fallen swords he drops, and an ability that creates a danger zone starts as a small line on the screen and expanding to fill it - requiring you to run away immediately
Final Thoughts
Luckily, since he is a world boss, dying means you can jump right back into the fight without him reset.
