Build Overview
This
Quill Volley Spiritborn focuses on optimising the damage from the
Rod of Kepeleke in combination with the
Rebounding Aspect whilst staying tanky enough to beat all End Game Content. It does this through the following:
- The
Rod of Kepeleke allows
Quill Volley to be a Basic and Core Skill. - Two Hits per Cast from the
Rebounding Aspect. - Utilising the Three Spirit Halls,
Gorilla,
Jaguar and
Eagle via the
Harmony of Ebewaka.
Counterattack for 100% Dodge Chance in combat.- 100% Block Chance using
Armored Hide.
Scourge for Crowd Control and up to 50% Damage to Crowd Controlled Enemies.
The Protector for incredible Utility including the Pull In from the
Hesha e Kesungi.- Maxing Attack Speed through Aspects, Equipment, Paragon and Ferocity.
- Barrier for extreme tankiness.
Check out the In-Depth Explanations below for further details on the build.
Extra Details
Season 11
This build has currently done a Pit 108 in around 11 Minutes with Zero Mythic Sanctifications so it will easily go Pit 115+ if you land a
Ring of Starless Skies Sanctification (2H) and
The Grandfather Sanctification, potentially higher.
Season 12
This build went to ~Pit 105+ in the Season 12 PTR with Decent Equipment, Max Glyphs and Decent Blooded Affixes but had some room for improvement so should go a little higher.
With the correct gear this build this will easily beat all the Hardest Content In The Game without issue.

How much Resource Generation Do I need?
With the reduction of Resource Generation Sources across the board it has now become more difficult to enable you to activate the
Rod of Kepeleke on Every Single Hit which is where our Big Damage comes from.
The Easiest way to achieve this is to use the
Ring of the Midnight Sun which escaped the Resource Source Nerfs and can still Restore 50% Resource Spent in the Last 2 Seconds on a Critical Strike. The pairs excellently with the
Rod of Kepeleke because this will spend 100% Resource when at Maximum Resource to guarantee a Critical Strike.
This means that we need to achieve 100% Resource Generation on the build along with a Maximum Rolled
Ring of the Midnight Sun at 50% to enable a 100% Activation Rate when attacking with the
Rod of Kepeleke.
For the later versions we opt not to use the
Ring of the Midnight Sun in favour of More Damage from Legendary Aspects and we try to make up the difference through Tempers and Glyphs
You can obtain the Resource Generation required from various sources including:
- Intelligence
- Resource Generation Tempers
- Lucky Hit: Resource Tempers
Vigorous
Measured Ravager
Fitness
Shroud of False Death
How Much Attack Speed Do I Need?
Aim for 134% Attack Speed on Equipment, Aspects, Paragon, Mercenaries, Elixirs and Ferocity.
You can only attain Attack Speed in Attack Speed Bucket 2 via Ferocity and
Adaptive Stances if using a
Jaguar Skill so we prioritise Ferocity since we are using a
Gorilla Skill.
We achieve this by stacking Ferocity through the use of the
Jaguar Secondary Spirit Hall.
Why do I remove all Resource Cost Reduction Modifiers In The Pushing Variant?
Season 12 only
With Season 12 introducing Blooded Affixes we have access to a Resource Cost Reduction per Kill Streak Tier modifier which can be obtained on all 5 Armour Slots.
It's important to know that on the PTR these all Added Together to count as 1 Singular Source of Resource Cost Reduction. This means that you get No Diminishing Returns if you have Only these equipped and have a Kill Streak active.
There comes a point where having Resource Cost Reduction anywhere on your Equipment causes you have have Less Resource Cost Reduction because of the way that multiple sources lead to Diminishing Returns.
Optimal Game Play would see you use an
Elixir of Resourcefulness before having a Kill Streak active and then swapping to either an
Elixir of Advantage or
Elixir of Fortitude whilst fighting with an active Kill Streak to avoid the diminishing returns as the Resource Cost Reduction can go hugely above 100% this way and it scales our
Rod of Kepeleke Damage.
