Build Overview

Evade or Storm Feathers is currently the fastest Spiritborn build in the game. It performs well in all content, except for Pit Pushing.

This build uses the basic skill Thunderspike. Every third cast of Thunderspike reduces your Evade cooldown by 5 seconds.Evading also triggers Thunderspike. With enough cooldown reduction, you can effectively perma-evade. Combined with your Eagle Primary Spirit Hall, each evade releases Storm Feathers that seek out enemies, deal damage, and boost your movement speed.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Fastest Build
  • Good Mobility
  • Auto Target
  • Not the best for Pit Pushing

Build Variants

This is the endgame version of the build with Mythic Uniques. It’s the most versatile setup, suitable for all content!

Requirements for this build:

  • Harlequin Crest
  • Shroud of False Death

With enough Cooldown Reduction (around 67%), you can Evade continuously without casting Thunderspike between Evades. Harlequin Crest provides a large amount of Cooldown Reduction, so reaching this breakpoint without it can be difficult. You can use Loyalty's Mantle instead if you are able to reach the breakpoint to gain extra damage.

Skill Rotation

  1. Spam Evade to release Storm Feathers. Use between your Evade to reset your Evade cooldown.
  2. Keep Armored Hide up as much as possible to boost toughness, stay unstoppable and increase your damage from Aspect of Redirected Force. You can also use Counterattack if needed to dodge all direct attacks.
  3. Use The Seeker on cooldown to trigger your passive Intricacy and help maintain Armored Hide at all times. Scourge gives extra damage and heal.
  4. Rock Splitter is here mostly for Resilient and Counterattack for it's passive bonus.

Jewels: Kill Streak XP for leveling, otherwise personal preference

Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank increases base stats and all affixes by 1%, up to 25 ranks. At max Masterworking, one random affix receives a 50% bonus. This can include a Tempered affix or a Greater Affix. The boosted affix is highlighted in a different color.

Use the Masterworking menu at the Blacksmith. You can reset the final Masterwork, so feel free to reroll it until you hit one of the recommended stats for the extra 50% bonus.

Paragon Board

The priority is to unlock all the Legendary Nodes first, then unlock your Glyphs and their requirements. After that, spend the remaining points based on what you prefer. Nodes around the Glyph usually give more damage, while Max Life nodes are the best for toughness. Other Rare nodes can offer a bit of extra damage or toughness. The last points generally go into main stats.

Glyph leveling priority isn’t too strict:

  • Level all your Glyphs to 15 first, one by one.
  • Then take each Glyph to 46, one by one.
  • Once they’re all 46, level them evenly to 100, the order doesn’t matter too much.

How it Works

Progressing from T1 to T4

There’s only one variant for progressing from T1 to T4 because in Diablo 4 you can obtain all the best gear even in T1 — it’s just rarer. You can usually speed-farm T4 with basic Ancestral gear, even if you only have one Greater Affix.
Most of your damage comes from Paragon Points and Legendary Aspects. Unlocking the Legendary Nodes on your Paragon Board will give a huge power spike.

  1. The first thing you want to do is get the required items to start the build. At this point, you’re probably still using your 1–60 leveling setup.
Farm boss materials in Helltides or the Undercity with Titan Tributes, then kill T1 bosses to obtain the required Unique item. Once you get it, switch to the T1–T4 build variant.
  2. Once you have everything needed to get started, it's time to farm Paragon XP. Paragon farming is very efficient at this stage. Unlocking Legendary Nodes provides a huge power spike, each one giving roughly 60% increased damage.
  3. A good way to farm XP is by running Helltides to collect boss materials. Then kill Tormented Bosses on a difficulty you can clear comfortably. This gives a good amount of XP and rewards you with Unique items that you can use or sell if you trade.
  4. Running The Pit is also a great way to gain levels and Paragon XP. It will also allow you to level up your Glyphs, which provide another strong power spike when they reach level 15 and level 46. The goal is to clear Pit tiers in about 2–3 minutes, which allows you to level your Glyphs with a 70% success chance. Eventually you will hit a wall. When that happens, go back to farming Tormented Bosses. By repeating this loop, you will steadily upgrade your Glyphs, Paragon level, and gear.
  5. You can also Temper and Masterwork your gear if you need an extra power boost. At this stage, don’t worry about perfect rolls — focus on steady progression. Infernal Hordes, the Undercity runs Tribute of Refinement, and Treasure Breach Nightmare Dungeons are great ways to farm Obducite for Masterworking.
  6. Finally, start comparing your gear to the final build setup or an endgame version. This will help you identify which Greater Affixes (GAs) you should target while continuing to optimize your build.
