Frozen Orb - Jon Snow

Frozen Orb Jon Snow is the best Frozen Orb Diablo 4 build guide in all the land.
I have yet to find a Diablo 4 build that matches the feel of this skill. Frozen Orb should be strong in season 11 because of reworks and buffs to Fractured Winterglass.

Fractured Winterglass got a massive buff and now provides Frozen Orb with 8% damage per active summon. Go farm up some Exquisite blood in helltide by opening chests and killing the blood maiden, then go wreck Lord Zir in Kyovashad until you get a good one.

When you are decently min-maxed you get around 30 summons out at once for 240% damage. Summons include conjuration skills such as Ice Blades, Lightning Spear, Familiar, and Hydra. This also includes Ceh Spirit Wolf summons!

The name of the game is spam casting Frozen Orb's which have a 65% chance on CAST to make a random conjuration with Fractured Winterglass. These conjurations then make more Frozen Orbs! In addition, whenever a Frozen Orb explodes it reduces the cooldown of all your skill bar conjurations by 0.3 seconds. Things get real spammy, and it's a helluva time.

Main Skill

• Frozen Orb is your main caster and damage source that should always be spammed
• Frozen Orb creates conjurations with Fractured Winterglass, which in turn create Frozen Orb's that litter the screen

Ultimate

• Ultimate: Unstable Currents is used whenever it comes off cooldown. It is used for Prime Unstable Currents as an attack speed steroid. Aspect of the Orange Herald helps keep its uptime permanent. In addition, with Supreme Unstable Currents you should never run out of crackling energy charges for Convulsions

Conjurations (Summons)

• When Frozen Orb explode, they lower all your conjuration cooldowns by 0.3 seconds with Fractured Winterglass. With Aspect of Frozen Orbit you get double explosions.

1. Ice Blades is casted whenever it comes off cooldown for Invoked Ice Blades attack speed. It is important to cast Ice Blades manually off the skill bar to reach 6 Ice Blades, as you get 3 from skill casts and 3 from Fractured Winterglass
   
2. Lightning Spear is casted whenever it comes off cooldown for Invoked Lightning Spear stuns (staggers bosses). The goal is to have 12 out at once.
   
3. Familiar can be casted less frequently as Fractured Winterglass should do a good job of reaching the 6 max that you can have out at once.
   • As long as you have 1 Cold Familiar out you get the 10% damage from Invoked Familiar.
   • Note: I rarely ever cast Familiar because it's "sticky".
   • You sort of need to cease all inputs and really slam the cast key on it.
   
4. Hydra only needs to be casted twice every 10 seconds
   Fractured Winterglass will create the other 2 to total 4

General Overview

Frozen Orb is a super fun build with Fractured Winterglass. You cast Frozen Orb's and they make conjurations, then the conjurations make Frozen Orb's. Oprah is literally giving everyone in the audience Forbs. Tax Free this time though.

New Unique Mace: Orsivane (Varshaan)

The new unique mace Orsivane is a brokenly strong item. By not having any defensive skills on the bar you get 160% increased damage and each of their enchantments for Free! Which is perfect for this build because we want a conjuration skill bar!

Free Enchantments from Orsivane

• Mystical Frost Nova enchant that procs off any Lucky hit for 15% damage
• Mystical Ice Armor enchant gives you an ice armor every time you press your potion and gives extra damage to frozen enemies
• Mystical Teleport enchant gives a teleport evade every 3.5 seconds with enchantment master that makes crackling energy for Convulsions damage
• Flame Shield enchant gives you some immunity frames when you take too much damage, which then goes on a 30 second cooldown.

These Free Enchantments do NOT grant additional damage from the Enchantment Master legendary. Sorry folks.

How to get the Fractured Winterglass Amulet

Fractured Winterglass drops from Lord Zir on the right side of Kyovashad. You summon him with Exquisite Blood, which is one of the easier to obtain boss summoning materials. Blood drops primarily in helltide by opening chests or summoning and killing the blood maiden. To more materials you personally put into summoning the blood maiden, the more Blood you get. You can also farm Titan Tributes in the Undercity activity in Nahantu, turn in whispers for boss material caches, or turn in Mercenary Rep for Boss material caches at the Den in Nahantu.

Frozen Orb is blessed to have Fractured Winterglass as an amulet, because target farming Unique items is MUCH easier than finding best in slot 3-4 passive Amulets. In addition, helltide is a very rewarding activity in basically all facets of the game loot and material wise. Blood is relatively cheap on the trade site as well because people normally have a lot of it.

1. Aspect value of 8% on Fractured Winterglass
2. Chance for Frozen Orb Projectiles to cast twice
3. Ranks of Frozen Orb
4. Non-Physical Damage
5. Resistance to All Elements

Conjuration Caps & Fractured Winterglass

You can get 38 conjurations max at 8% damage per stack for 4x damage
In practice you will max around 30 for 3.4x damage

Ice Blades = 6
• 3 from casting off the skill bar
• 3 from Fractured Winterglass spawns (Free Ice Blades Enchant)

Lightning Spear = 12
• 12 total from any combination of casting and Fractured Winterglass spawns

Invoked Familiar = 6
• 6 total from any combination of casting and Fractured Winterglass spawns

Hydra = 4
• 2 from casting off the skill-bar
• 2 from Fractured Winterglass spawns (Free Hydra Enchant)

Ceh Rune - Spirit Wolves = 10
• When you combine Nagu + Ceh you will have 100% uptime on 10 wolves

Survivability (Find Temerity)

• Max Life is the most important stat for overall survivability as it increases your effective health pool towards all damage and applies to our Barriers
• Armor is the next most important stat as it increases your damage reduction from everything
• Once you have Temerity, then you will just naturally make barriers by dealing damage with the LIFE ON HIT affix of your Focus.
