Head bang into enemies and munch on some grindage till they are dead.

This Rabies build will have you biting enemies extremely fast to apply massive amounts of poison damage. Then enemies will explode in a burst of stones killing everything nearby!

  • Check additional tabs for Mid-Game and End-Game variations of the build.
  • The loot filter on the right will help you spot the important items for the build and even some other items that can work until you get what you need!

PTR Notes

  • Ult CDR is going to be built around through Affixes most likely since Rabies isn't a nature magic skill.
  • Blood-Mad Idol will require some way to out heal the damage if we want to use it. Embattled Aspect has no space unless we solve for Vulnerable and use it on the amulet.
  • This is a 0 Crit Chance build.
  • Helm: Leoric's Crown with Splinter of Hellfire socketed. Runes: IgniQue
  • Wolves 40% AS - Splinter of Anguish 35% AS - Temper 12% - RoSS Affix 10% or so = 95%+
  • Splinter of Sin
  • Splinter of Hellfire
  • Black Soulstone (Needs testing in harder content to see if it can be maintained reasonably)

Important Notes (Ignore all text besides PTR Notes for now)

  • This version of the build requires Ifeh's Dire Totem to function as intended.
  • You'll need Dark Howl if you want to use Debilitating Roar.

Farming Locations

  • Tibault's Will - General Pool
  • (Convert to Charm in the Horadric Cube)
  • Dark Howl - Urivar
  • Wildheart Hunger - Asteroth

For General Pool unique items, you can upgrade a white Ancestral of the correct base type to Unique in the Horadric Cube. Chances depend on the number of unique items in that item type.

Alternate Items (Only intended as temporary substitutes)

  • Aspect of the Expectant (Damage)
  • Conceited Aspect (Damage)

Stat Priorities

Offensive

  1. Damage Over Time Multiplier (Main GA/Masterwork target)
  2. Attack Speed (No more than 100% and factor in Wolves, Ferocity, and Varyana.)
  3. Vulnerable Damage Multiplier (Masterwork upgrade at least one with GA)
  4. Lightning/All Damage Multiplier (Masterwork upgrade at least one with GA)
  5. Skill Ranks
  6. Weapon Damage (Only on weapons)
  7. Willpower (Always prioritize on armor)

Defensive

  1. Maximum Life (You want this on all items unless you feel you can remove some and stay alive)
  2. Resistance (Get as much as you can without giving up Willpower or other important affixes)
  3. Armor (Be sure to have at least one affix on items minimum, but get as much as you can)

Utility

  1. Movement Speed (No more than 200%)
  2. Cooldown Reduction (Just enough to maintain Grizzly Rage 100% of the time)

PTR Notes

  • X'Fal's Corroded Signet usually sucks but I wanna try it at least.

Important Notes

  • Mobalytics lists the set bonuses incorrectly. Just go by the names I listed and not by the information about what the sets do.
  • Ranks to Shapeshifting Skills and Ranks to Werebear Skills are your best choice for charms.

Important Notes

  • Debilitating Roar can be used to quickly gain Resolve stacks as soon as you load into a zone.
  • Earthen Bulwark is cast automatically as we spend Spirit with the PocQue Runes so it does not need to be in the skill bar.
  • Wolves are only used for the passive Attack Speed bonus.
  • Grizzly Rage offers additonal Armor and a lot more damage.
  • Stone Burst is used to apply Petrify to enemies with our charm set.

Important Notes

  • Prioritize getting all Legendary Nodes before all else. Example: Survival Instincts
  • Prioritize all Glyphs to level 15 before going higher unless you cannot equip the next Glyph yet.
  • Prioritize all Glyphs to level 50 before going higher on any.

Glyph Leveling Order

  1. Tracker
  2. Bane
  3. Keeper
  4. Fang and Claw
  5. Headhunter
  • Werebear can be used for more survivability instead of Headhunter.

Frequently Asked Questions

This build utilizes various sources to increase damage with Wrath, Core, Werebear, Shapeshifting, Poison, and Damage Over Time. We don't care about Critical Strike Chance at all!

  • Might of the Ursine scales our damage immensely through Maximum Resolve stacking. We can easily get 58 stacks and it's 13% per stack. That's 754% increased damage from one item!
  • Aspect of Glynn's Anvil will do the same for the survivability side with 4% per stack!
  • Berú of the Old Mountain gives a huge damage boost through a Petrify mechanic which we can activate with Stone Burst despite not using Earth damage in this build.
  • Petrified enemies will tally any damage we do during the Petrify and then release 200% of the damage we dealt to that enemy and the enemies around them.
  • Tibault's Will offers additional damage and resource generation.
  • Staying in Werebear form with Grizzly Rage allows us to take advantage of many bonuses throughout the build and Grizzly Rage itself gives 200% more damage.
  • Flickerstep allows us to maintain Grizzly Rage which would normally not be easy to do.
