Direct hits do increased damage to combatant shields and cause a volatile detonation. Dealing damage increases reload speed. Rapid final blows against grenade-damaged combatants refill the magazine.

This grenade launcher is single shot, and allows the user to control when it explodes by releasing the fire button. This makes the weapon quite difficult to use, but if mastered can be a great way to deal chip damage in PvP due to being able to control the explosion. It can be banked off of walls or detonated in mid air to hit an enemy behind cover or a Titan barricade. The weapon does use primary ammo, allowing the user to spam shots with it. The skill ceiling is high, but it is tough to get there with this weapon. The weapon utilizing primary ammo and dealing damage comparable to special ammo using grenade launchers as well as having the ability to circumvent a reload with kills from a different weapon by killing enemies damaged by the grenade launcher makes it an decent option for PvE.
