Sprinting, sliding, and firing this weapon builds a temporary electrostatic charge, increasing range and reload speed. Final blows with high charge cause explosions, and maximum charge explosions blind targets.

Armor

Weapon final blows with a damage type matching your grenade grant Death Throes, which provide a grenade damage bonus and grant you grenade energy. When you have Death Throes and throw a grenade, nearby allies gain greatly increased grenade regeneration for a short time.

How It Works

Today we’re taking another look at a super strong Arc Warlock build that just got a massive buff. With the most recent update, this setup is now one of the best Arc builds Warlocks have ever had.

✅ Why This Build Just Got Way Better

A recent patch changed how Warlock Buddies (like Arc Souls and Ionic Sentries) work. They now count as grenades when it comes to:

Character stats

Armor mods

Class fragments

That means if you invest heavily into your grenade stat, your buddies can deal up to 65% more damage. And when you pair that with the Verity’s Brow exotic helmet, the damage goes way higher.

✅ Why Verity’s Brow Works So Well

Verity’s Brow has an intrinsic perk called Fourth Magic. Here’s how it works in simple terms:

Get kills with Arc weapons

Each kill gives stacks called Death Throes

These stacks give:

Faster grenade recharge

Increased grenade damage

At low stacks, you get:

+40% grenade damage

+0.5% grenade energy per second

At max stacks, you get:

+100% grenade damage

+2.5% grenade energy per second

Because Arc Souls and Ionic Sentries now count as grenades, they also benefit from all of this—not just your Storm Grenade.

✅ Even More Damage From the Artifact

The Shield Crush artifact mod makes this build even stronger. When you become Amplified, you gain:

+25% grenade damage

+25% faster grenade regen

This affects:

Storm Grenades

Ionic Sentries

Arc Souls

When all bonuses stack together (stats + Verity’s Brow + Shield Crush), you can hit over 130% extra grenade damage.

✅ Staying Amplified Is Easy

To become Amplified, you just need rapid kills with any Arc weapon or ability. Being Amplified gives you:

15% damage resistance

Faster movement

Better weapon handling

✅ Ionic Sentry Explained

Once you charge it up by getting kills, your grenade temporarily becomes an Ionic Sentry. When thrown, it:

Blinds enemies

Deals constant AoE damage

Lasts up to 15 seconds

Can stack up to 2 at once

Benefits from all grenade damage buffs

✅ What About Arc Souls Stealing Kills?

Some players think Verity’s Brow doesn’t work well with Arc Souls because they can take your kills. But now that Arc Souls count as grenades, buffing them is part of the plan. As long as you keep getting a few weapon kills, you’ll keep building your Verity’s Brow stacks without a problem.

✅ Fragments You Should Use

Here’s what makes the build shine:

Spark of Shock Arc Souls and Ionic Sentries can trigger it, letting you jolt enemies and handle Overload Champions.

Spark of Resistance Gives you major damage resistance when surrounded and Amplified.

Spark of Recharge When low on health, you get 400% faster grenade and melee regen until healed.

Spark of Discharge Arc weapon kills create Ionic Traces, which:

Give back ability energy

Build Bolt Charges for extra damage and add clear

✅ Weapon Tips

Look out for weapons with:

Voltshot

Jolting Feedback

Rolling Storm

Demolitionist (grenade regen)

Strategist (class ability regen)

Best Exotic choices:

Centrifuse (fantastic clear + champs)

Trinity Ghoul

Thunderlord

Bow users: With the Argent Quiver mod, crossbows and bows get:

+25% damage (heavy bows)

+35% damage (others) But it costs armor charges, so only run it if your mods allow.

If not, go with Elemental Overdrive, which gives +10% Arc weapon damage when collecting Ionic Traces.

✅ Where to Put Your Stats

Focus mainly on:

Grenade Stat:

At 100: +190% grenade regen from mods/perks

Above 100: boosts damage of Storm Grenade, Arc Soul, and Ionic Sentry

Weapon Stat:

More weapon damage

Easier Death Throes stacks

Better ammo economy

Class Stat: Only push it to 100 max, since Ionic Traces help recharge it anyway.

With Elemental Coalescence, you’ll make even more traces, which keeps all abilities up longer.

✅ Armor Sets to Look For

Try mixing:

Bushido (2 pieces = bonus health regen)

Smoke Jumper (Orb pickup = damage resistance)

These sets make this “glass cannon” build way tankier.

✅ Armor Mods to Consider

Since Arc Souls and Ionic Sentries now work with grenade mods, you can use:

Ashes to Assets (super energy on grenade kills)

Firepower (orbs from grenade kills)

Font mods if you’re set up for armor charge

✅ Why You Should Try This Build

There are lots of strong buddy builds right now, but very few can deal consistent, high damage like this Verity’s Brow Stormcaller setup.

If you want a build that:

Melts enemies easily

Has almost endless ability uptime

Handles champions

Buffs both you AND your buddies

Then this is absolutely worth trying.
