With the introduction of Prismatic, the Renewal Grasp Hunter build gets even better. Renewal was always a more defensive option, but with the uptime of Duskfields and other sources of survivability on Prismatic, you are able to be offensive and defensive with your fields.

This build will get even better once we get the exotic class items but this is a very good out of the gate build. Golden Gun and Silence and Squall are interchangable depending on situations/preference and you can even use Tether if you'd like. No matter your choice, each adds a nice defensive buff via Facet of Purpose so you can choose to use your Duskfields more aggressively.

Buried Bloodline acts as your primary and your main source of light energy while providing Devour and Weaken which can proc Stylish Executioner and Void Hegemony. Everything else feeds into CC and dark energy. Kinetic slot can be any Darkness aligned primary or special, whatever you prefer. Artifact mods only enhance this build but it works well even without them. Thanks to Facet of Hope and the buff to Winter's Shroud, you'll constantly have your dodge up which means more melees which means more grenades
