Build Details

How It Works

With this build I landed back on the prismatic subclass to give you options for good DPS and ad clearing. But this time, I’m taking the exotic gauntlets, Stronghold. With this exotic, you can perpetually block with a sword, and while blocking, you gain an additional 50% stacking DR as well as you will work up stacks of Perfect guard by blocking damage.
Each instance of blocked damage will give you 2 stacks capping out at 100 stacks. You can then deal damage with your sword to gain Restoration x2. At a base level you get 4 seconds of this restoration, though this increases with how many stacks of perfect guard you have, capping out at 16 seconds of restoration.
Now the really cool thing about this is that you can take a sword with the perk, Flash Counter. This will now make it so that roughly every 2 seconds while blocking damage, you will emit a disorientating blast. The main advantage of this is that this blast will trigger your Stronghold meaning you no longer have to stop blocking to convert your stacks of perfect guard to Restoration.
Keep in mind that these blasts only do this conversion when hitting non immune enemies. Meaning for bosses like Persys in SotW, you can’t trigger the restoration by hitting the boss.

The incredible thing about this build is that since you have so much healing and Damage Resistance, you become a walking target that can distract enemies. I love this build for encounters like Persys and the first encounter of Prophecy since you can easily distract all the enemies while your team runs around and completes all the objectives to trigger a DPS phase.
