Destiny 2 Warlock BuildGeomag Stabilizers Build
PvEFires a wide horizontal spread when shot from the hip. Final blows with this weapon have a chance to generate Ionic Traces. Powerful foes and opposing Guardians always generate Ionic Traces.
Damaging targets with Chaos Reach extends its duration. Collecting Ionic Traces grants you energy for Chaos Reach. Sprinting while near max Bolt Charge will grant stacks over time.
Build Details
The incredible thing about this build is how easy it is to get going. Throw a grenade or melee to get a kill and spawn your first ionic trace. After collecting it, you’re now amplified for even more damage with your melee and your Delicate Tomb will be loaded with it’s Tempests Cascade, making it deal 100% more damage, and jolt enemies, which will in turn create another ionic trace. It also has a 10% chance to create an ionic trace on minor enemy so you’ll occasionally create more ionic traces.
Each of these ionic traces will give back a ton of ability energy, a ton of super energy, power up your delicate tomb, and give stacks of bolt charge. Since we have 4 different ways to spawn Ionic traces, you can technically get lucky and spawn 4 ionic traces from 1 kill. I don’t think I saw this while I was playing, though I did see a few times where I shot 1 burst of Delicate tomb and created 3 ionic traces…
All of this will build up your chaos reach at an insanely rapid rate, meaning you can use it freely to wipe out a ton of enemies, take down a miniboss, or even deal some decent boss DPS. Heck I had plenty of times where in between DPS phases I would get another chaos reach to basically only melt the boss with our super.
Bolt charge is strong. This new system allows you to work up to 10 stacks, and then your next ability damage will rain down a lightning bolt on the enemy dealing roughly the same damage as a solar ignition.
So I thought to myself, how do I maximize my efficiency to gain as many stacks of bolt charge as quick as possible. And that’s when I saw the patch notes for Spark of Discharge. The added benefit that when picking up an Ionic trace, you’re given 1 bolt charge.
In that moment everything clicked. I remembered that Geomag Stabilizers were getting a rework, so that now Ionic Traces will give back 7% super energy for chaos reach, and while sprinting with at least 6 stacks, you’ll gain another stack of bolt charge every 2 seconds. So I got to work thinking of every way that I could create Ionic traces. One of the main catalysts for a build like this is Delicate Tomb. This weapon sat in my vault since I got it. I checked on it this season and realized I only had 3% of the catalyst done! But when all put together, I was seeing ionic traces popping out left and right heck I even saw 3 created from getting 1 kill! So let’s dive into the build and break down how it works.
