Build Details
Inspired by Aztecross Warlock's Ergo Sum build, this one is all about getting hammed up in the thick of things.
When it comes to Hunter builds, this is my favourite "Tank" build. I remained in the centre of the crowd, diverting attention away from my team. Thanks to the way Stylish Executioner works for Prismatic, I can easily proc Invisibility and retreat safely if needed.
Thanks to Gifted Conviction, Ascencion gets a very nice buff, and we can acquire damage resistance from jolting and Galvanic armour from the current seasonal artefacts. With the addition of the facets of hope, you can spam Ascencion with nearly 100% uptime of the Amplified + Damage Res buff, due to very low cooldown. Having jolting at our disposal also helps deal with those annoying Overload Champions.
Our defence against the bothersome Vandals is boosted by the presence of Riskrunner, which provides damage resistance against arc damage that is very notable in this week Grandmaster Nightfall. Riskrunner being a smg also helps with dealing against barrier champions with the seasonal artifact Anti-Barrier Submachine Gun
The Call is a solid Dark Damage special weapon due to having rolls to Lead From Gold for better ammo efficiency and Vorpal Weapon or One For All to help with deleting Yellow Bar or Champions.
Since it is currently Rocket Launcer Overcharged modifier, any decent Arc Rocket Launcher will do for the heavy slot. You can also change the Legs Mods to Strand Savenger and Surge Mods and swap the Heavy Slot for Pro Memoria if you don't like using the Rocket Launcher at close range. Why Pro Memoria specifically? Because it synergize with The Call as Strand Weapon and it benefits from Overcharged Armory and Winning Hand Artifact Mods
The main gameplay loop of this build is to activate Ascencion to get damage res and go ham in the middle of enemies with Riskrunner against normal enemy and using The Call or Heavy Weapon against tankier enemies as necessary. Throw a melee whenever possible to apply Sever Debuff further reducing enemies damage. With consistent Ascencion and Threaded Spike, enemies will most always be debuffed allowing Stylish Executioner to proc at every kill. This allow us to get in and outta fight safely.
For those that would prefer a safer playstyle at mid-range with the same build, swap The Call with Outbreak Perfected and swap Riskrunner with Indebted Kindess. Don't forget to activate Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle artifact mod when changing.
- Jolt with Ascencion to get damage resistance + amplified
- Start blasting enemies with Riskrunner.
- Throw melees whenever possible to apply sever debuff.
- Repeat step 1 as soon as Amplified + Damage Res ends
