Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points.
Build Details
this is just a simple build with bolt charge I like to use for bosses of dungeons and raids and sometimes strikes. I have linked 2 versions of this build because I just swap to the "DPS Phase" one when damage phase on a boss starts. Otherwise they are pretty much the same build just with armor mods changed and the chest piece swapped out to Cuirass of the fallen star which increases the damage of thundercrash. Basically you just play around Hoil and chain your abilities together to get them back as fast as possible. If you feel you need more survivability you can swap out Touch of thunder for Knockout, but otherwise Touch of thunder is just nice for creating ionic traces to get your abilities back faster. Stay behind your Rally Barricade when it's up so your weapons can activate Bolt Charge on your weapons. Which is what Storms Keep does.
