Fires a large ball of energy that locks onto nearby targets and freezes them. Strong against [Disruption] Overload Champions.

Armor

While you have a Stasis Super equipped, rapid Stasis final blows grant Frost Armor. You heal a small amount whenever you gain Frost Armor. Replaces your class ability with a burst of Stasis energy that freezes nearby combatants, slows nearby opponents, and grants you increased Frost Armor.

How It Works

This build is all about slowing, freezing and shattering entire rooms with ease whilst keeping up absurd levels of healing and damage resistance to enable a very fun and satisfying aggressive Titan gameplay loop.

The Icefall Mantle exotic gauntlets transform the comparatively lacklustre Titan class abilities (both barricades and Thruster) with a strong Stasis explosion that freezes all nearby enemies and grants max (5) stacks of Frost Armor for 31.25% damage resistance. Additionally, any time you receive a stack of Frost Armor, you wil heal for 10hp per stack, up to 50 health at 5 stacks. Icefall Mantle also makes it so that getting a Stasis multikill (2 kills between 3 seconds of each) grants a stack of Frost Armor with no cooldown. We can also get even more Frost Armor from picking up orbs thanks to Facet of Purpose in the Prismatic kit. Getting orbs, using our class ability and grabbing Stasis multikills comes really easily with this build, allowing for near permanent uptime on crazy damage resistance and healing, two things that are essential for taking builds into harder endgame content. Couple that immense sustain with fantastic crowd control and crazy single target burst damage (that doesn't require ammo) for an easy ride through most content.

Luckily, on Titan, our class ability regen rate is tied to our Resilience stat, which will obviously be at 100 for even more DR and a rapid cooldown on Glacial Guard, our freezing class ability. The cooldown on our class ability is juiced even further by the ever reliable Facet of Hope fragment, granting 40% class ability regen when affected by 1 elemental buff and 60% when affected by 2. Since Frost Armor counts and we will have it up nearly permanently, we have reliable access to our Glacial Guard which can enhanced even further by having literally any other elemental buff, such as Radiant, which we can grab from powered melee hits thanks to Facet of Dawn.

Now is probably the time to go over our ability, aspect and fragment choices. Our class ability doesn't matter as it is overwritten by Glacial Guard and by default uses the Towering Barricade cooldown timer. For grenade, I've opted for Glacial Grenade for on demand Overload and Unstoppable stunning capabilities whilst also benefitting from some of our fragment selections. For our melee, we take Frenzied Blade as it gives us 3 charges of our Consecration melee. For our other aspect we are running Diamond Lance for access to Diamond Lances upon any ability, Stasis or Shatter kills for more free damage and CC.

All of our shatters and ignitions are buffed in size and damage from Facet of Ruin. Facet of Command feeds us free Stasis shards upon killing any frozen enemy. As with all good Prismatic builds, Facet of Protection and Facet of Purpose are instalocks for their fantastic sustain and survivability. The latter receives even more utility on this build due to Icefall Mantle's unique interaction with Frost Armor to grant healing.

The weapon loadout is very flexible on this build but I would highly recommend taking a minimum of one Stasis weapon to benefit from Diamond Lance, Facet of Ruin, Icefall Mantle and Harmonic armor mods. Not completely necessary, but given the synergies available I think you'd be stupid not to, especially given how many great Stasis weapons there are available to use in the sandbox currently. I've gone with Bold Endings as it has a fantastic craftable roll of Headstone / Dragonfly for double splash perks and build synergy through Stasis crystal creation. It's also just an amazing gun as we're currently in a Hand Cannon meta in PvE. With it being a hard-hitting Heavy Burst archetype, it benefits a lot from Facet of Command, reloading the gun automatically upon freezing any target on a 4 second cooldown. I've coupled this with the amazing Winterbite Exotic glaive in the Heavy slot to take care of our burst damage, which is incredible on its own but is juiced coupled with the No Bell and Hold the Line perks from the artifact that grant 85% glaive melee damage for 5 seconds after blocking any damage and healing on multikills. For the Special slot, I've taken an Indebted Kindness rocket sidearm with Voltshot for even more CC and access to Amplified through the Dielectric artifact perk for even more DR (15%) as well as boosting our Mobility stat by 50 and making enemies less accurate when targeting us. It also benefits from Anti-Barrier rounds from the artifact this season.

Armor mods allow us to get a steady flow of orbs for all ability regen rates, healing and Armor Charge for Utility Kickstart. The mod setup equipped can get you orbs from the following:

  • Bold Endings multikills (Harmonic Siphon)
  • Indebted Kindness multikills (Arc Siphon)
  • powered melee or Consecration kills (Firepower)
  • first weapon kill after using Glacial Guard (Reaper)

Must take armor mods include Utility Kickstart on the class item to keep Glacial Guard online as much as possible, rainbow resists on the chestpiece for the best overall defenses, two copies of Focusing Strike on the gloves for the same reason, and a Powerful Attraction on the class item to scoop up all orbs within 12.5 metres every time we use Glacial Guard.

That's it! You'll find it extremely hard to die using this build, either from the immense survivability or crowd control. It's a lot of fun and doesn't require much thought to play and master. Can mop up any low-tier content and holds its own in any harder or solo endgame content like dungeons, raids or GMs.

Frost Armor and Stasis as a whole is at the centre of the seasonal artifact coming in the Edge of Fate DLC, so expect this build to get even better in the coming weeks!

Gameplay Loop
  1. Use your class ability to freeze all nearby enemies, heal and get 31% damage resistance
  2. Use your massive sustain to play aggressive, using Winterbite to burst down tougher targets
  3. Use your weapons to benefit from a host of buffs and synergies to mop up anything left
  4. Check Instagram? Text your mum back? (you literally can't die on this build)
