Destiny 2 Warlock BuildShatter Everything MoBH Pure Stasis Lock

If you'd have told me before EoF that I'd be running a Mantle of Battle Harmony build with Eriana's Vow on pure Stasis Warlock and not want to blow my head off, I'd have laughed at you. Thanks to some amazing artifact perks, an insane new Hand Cannon and our build synergies, this thing can actually cook - both on ad clear and Boss damage.

Mantle is really simple. Weapon kills that match your equipped Super grant you bonus Super energy depending on enemy rank. When your Super is charged, any additional Super matching elemental weapon kills will grant you a 4x Super Element matching Weapon Surge for 6 seconds and can be refreshed on every single kill until you decide to pop your Super, which you really shouldn't. Why? Your Super is terrible and the weapon damage buff is too easy to proc and too good to pass up on. This is mainly why I chose to run this Exotic on Stasis Warlock, as it has the worst offensive Super in the game, so ignoring it really won't hurt us (and in fact helps us an awful lot).

The closest thing resembling a gameplay loop here is literally just get Stasis weapon kills and pick up orbs to charge your Super then frag out. This season has brought an absolutely insane new Stasis Hand Cannon in Solemn Remembrance. It can roll with Headstone / Firefly, a unique roll that has INSANE synergy especially when paired with this season's artifact. When you get a precision kill, you will spawn a Stasis crystal which will subsequently be blown up by the Firefly explosion. Unlike Dragonfly, this explosion has a slight delay, allowing for the whole chain to happen at once without having to shoot the Crystal manually. When paired with the Frigid Glare artifact perk, this thing goes nuclear - freezing all nearby targets, spawning a Stasis crystal then immediately blowing it up.

If you don't want to grind Competitive Crucible for Solemn (I really wouldn't blame you), the second best option is the craftable Bold Endings heavy-burst Hand Cannon from The Final Shape. You can get a similar roll of Headstone / Dragonfly and it has great synergy with it's Dealer's Choice origin trait granting free extra Super energy with kills. Sadly, it won't benefit from the insane Headstone / Firefly interation and doesn't get the +10% damage buff that New Gear gets, but its easy to get your hands on and still goes to work. Also don't be put off by the fact it's a heavy burst archetype, the reload and stability is easily taken care of by the artifact.

Since the artifact is one of the main things that make this build worth running, I'll go over our choices here. Make sure to take the following:

One With Frost - faster reloads and more stability with our Stasis weapons whenever we have Frost Armor

Fever and Chill - free Frost Armor on Stasis multikills and rapid precision hits

Frost Renewal - when your shields break (low health) you freeze everything around you in a large radius

Refresh Threads - picking up a Stasis shard gives your least charged ability some energy

Cauterized Darkness - you deal 30% more Solar damage to any Darkness debuffed target (slowed, frozen, unraveled, severed, suspended) (does not affect Bosses but affects Champions and Minibosses)

Elemental Overdrive - picking up a Stasis shard grants 10% increased Stasis weapon damage for 7 seconds (stacks with our surges)

Frigid Glare - any Stasis precision kills whilst Frost Armor is active freezes all nearby targets in a ~6 metre radius

Mainly for Anti-Barrier rounds and also to take advantage of Cauterized Darkness and Fever and Chill, we run the featured Exotic Eriana's Vow in the Energy slot. It's amazing for dealing with Barrier Champions, does solid single-target damage and has fat ammo reserves. Intrinsically deals 10% more damage this season from being featured and additionally deals 30% more damage to any Darkness debuffed targets (e.g. slowed). With all the slowing and freezing this build sh*ts out, Overload stuns are easily taken care of and our Hand Cannon can stun Unstoppables. In the Heavy slot, take any Stasis heavy, but I'd highly recommend something with good single-target damage like Cold Comfort or VS Chill Inhibitor to take advantage of our surges.

For our abilities, take Healing Rift and Glacier Grenade.

For aspects (about time), definitely take Glacial Harvest to print Stasis shards when freezing targets and to help get Frost Armor online easily. The second is more flexible, but I like Iceflare Bolts as I mainly just find it more fun to run than Bleak Watcher, but the choice really is up to you here (however this build, its armor mods and fragments are geared for Iceflare Bolts).

For fragments, we take the following:

Whisper of Rending - Primary ammo weapons deal 100% more damage to Stasis crystals and 50% more damage to Frozen enemies

Whisper of Rime - ups your max Frost Armor count to 8x (from 5x) and duration to 13 seconds

Whisper of Conduction - pulls nearby Stasis shards towards you within a 15 metre radius

LAST FRAGMENT IS FLEXIBLE BUT I TAKE:

Whisper of Shards - shattering a Stasis crystal grants +600% base grenade ability regeneration rate for 6 seconds (up to 11 seconds)

For stats:

Get your Weapons stat as high as possible as this is a weapon focused build. Try get it to at least 150 to get it near the max of 200 with two Weapons font mods if needed. For our other stats, your Super stat actually doesn't need to be that high as Mantle lets you get it online pretty fast, and as soon as it's charged, our stat investment there is kind of wasted. I'd say somewhere around 70 is the sweet spot. For everything else, go for Grenade. One day the masses will wake up and realise that Glacier Grenade is actually a really good grenade, but you'll be getting it back fast enough thanks to Whisper of Shards and Refresh Threads.

As for armor set bonuses to aim for - there really isn't many that mesh super well here so don't worry, just use whatever gives you the best stats. Bushido is probably the only thing I'd recommend for the little bumps of healing but that's about it.

There it is! Give it a go, crazy CC, triple Champion stuns and high single-target damage whilst making use of lots of juiced artifact perks, some featured Exotics, a crazy new Hand Cannon and most importantly, it makes pure Stasis Warlock VIABLE! Have fun.
