Build Details

How It Works

This build is all about TRANSCENDENCE and crowd control.

1.Duskfield

Your main work horse that freezes targets and grants darkness transcendence energy. Use this against groups of adds or larger targets. If this build is played correctly you can throw a second duskfield before the first one ends.

2.Witherhoard

With kinetic weapons granting both light and dark energy, witherhoard is a NO BRAINER, literally just shoot and sit back as it does damage and gives you energy for FREE. With the rework to ammo finders you practically never run out of ammo unless you just completely spam witherhoard shots. So TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WITHERHOARD. A GREAT alternative is Khvostov.

3.Smoke bomb

For whatever reason that I won't complain about, smoke bomb's tick damage reproccs HOIL's ability regen making it last for about 4 extra seconds than it would regularly. I will not complain about extra grenades!!! Also it weakens and blinds targets making it INCREDIBLE for crowd control, especially when you can spam it!

4.Nullify / Heliocentric Nullify isn't "required" per say but Heal Clip + Chaos Reshaped is just so amazing for survivability in a GM setting. Heliocentric is a great primary to run if you don't have to deal with barriers and makes it easier to kill while you're up close and personal.

5.Heart of Inmost Light and Cyrtarachne's Facade Class Item This is THE class item for endgame content. Abilities and damage reduction on a never ending timer. What else is there to say? Just throw out your abilities like this: Grenade->Melee->Dodge->Melee->Repeat

6.HEAVY WEAPON Heavy weapon is flexible, just be sure to pick something that can melt champs. For example, I usually run an edge transit but switch to an apex rocket for encounters where enemies are farther away and a machine gun for super high add dense environments. Really just pick and choose what feels right in whatever activity you're doing along following surges.

If you play this build correctly you should be getting transcendence about 5-30 seconds after your last transcendence ended (depending of course on how many things are still alive)

Gameplay Loop

This is an aggressive build focused on blinding and freezing targets while building up transcendence as fast as possible

Heart of inmost light + Cyrtarachne class item

You want to start off by throwing a duskfield, following up with a witherhoard shot, then throwing your smoke, and then dodging. This build is about MAXIMIZING your transcendence as much as possible and controlling entire crowds with ease through smoke bomb and freeze.

Focus on bigger targets and groups of adds.

Smoke for some reason keeps proccing HOIL throughout it's duration as long as the ticks are causing damage, so make sure to hit them directly. Remember smoke also disorients targets, making anything that's not a boss or champion stop shooting at you (this works on lucent hive and subjugators as well, so take advantage of it)

Shatter and ignition kills from both of your grenades cure you.

Dodge to get the heat off of you with your specter.

Use witherhoard whenever you have it, DO NOT BE CONSERVATIVE WITH AMMO. I have used this thing like a primary in GMs you will be fine!!!

I recommend using a heal clip primary.

The larger the group of adds the better this build gets, if you see a crowd don't be afraid to jump into it and freeze and blind everything to protect your teammates, same goes for larger targets as you can keep getting transcendence energy from them easily
