Destiny 2 Warlock BuildPowerful Synergistic Arc Build (F2P Friendly) (Guide Included)

• Stormtrance synergizes with Crown of Tempests and is one of the few builds that enables Stormtrance to shine by being able to both ad clear and do effective boss damage. This also enables your team to focus the boss without distraction.
• Electrostatic Mind and Arc Soul are used in conjunction with Crown of Tempests and Spark of Beacons. Ionic Traces and Arc Multi-kills will Amplify you for 15 seconds. Kills with Arc Soul count as ability kills and will give you stacks of Conduction Tines which will regenerate your rifts, grenades, and melee abilities; which also in turn give you more Conduction Tines (which is refreshable).
• Amplify in this build will enable you to AOE blind on kill, buff your melee, buff your sprint speed, supercharge your arc soul, buff your reload and handling, give you 15% damage reduction, buff super damage by 30%, and make more Ionic Traces.
• Spark of Shock will enable Grenade to create ionic traces ; but more importantly, debuff them with Jolt and damage buff Coldheart by 35%. (Blind will have the same effect.)
• Melee will jolt on hit, give orbs of power, and chain when amplified.
• Coldheart is used because it is a long range special with buffs from the Artifact. Spark of Beacons allows it to blind on kill and can generate Ionic Traces from sustained damage. (Useful for bosses)
• Spark of Resistance is used to give a 25% Damage Reduction while 3 or more enemies are nearby.

• Crown of Tempests increases the duration of Stormtrance by 66% when at max Conduction Tines stacks. Conduction Tines stacks up to 3 times, lasts 7 seconds after every ability kill or jolt kill, and increases the base regen of all abilities by 167.5% per stack.
• Firepower and Heavy Handed are for orb generation, the resistance mods give 15% DR and Spark of Resistance gives 25% while surrounded. (which is why I opted for sniper resistance to compensate.)
• Harmonic Reserves, Harmonic Scavenger, and Special Finisher all contribute to keeping enough ammo for Coldheart.
• Elemental Charge here is great since we are already generating Ionic Traces and gives us a way to get Armor Charge stacks from afar.
• Recuperation, Proximity Ward, and Reaper are all just quality of life mods meant to add to survivability. (Orb Generation is high so feel free to change Reaper if you want)

This build needs ammo generation in the form of Special Finisher which consumes 3 armor charges on use. You can opt to use Arc Surges that give 10%/17%/22% damage increases respectively per stack. It will become harder to manage armor charges but you will see benefits. One Font armor mod gives a 30 point stat bonus for the chosen stat. If you want to try a more aggressive and faster approach to this build for more damage this is what I would recommend.

• Make sure Coldheart is your only special weapon so that the ammo isn’t split across 2 special weapons.
• Put 1 Charged Up mod on your Chest.
• Replace mods on Legs with 1 Stacks on Stacks mod and 2 Arc Surge mods
• Replace Reaper with Time Dilation on your class item.
• Put Font mods where you can, except for Font of Resilience, you don’t want this stat to vary. Try to get your natural Resilience to at LEAST 80 and choose fonts over other stat boosts. (You can use Resistance Mods to compensate)

Overall, not having ammo means you do 0% damage so only choose this if you can manage it.

• In rare scenarios where there are no ads and there is only a boss, use Chaos Reach instead of Stormtrance since it relies on kills to buff the super. (Remember to always super when amplified, use Coldheart to generate an Ionic Trace before using your super.)
• If you find you are not using your melee ability [Chain Lightning], or playing more at range, then feel free to use Ball Lighting. Using abilities will always beat out not using them.
• Trinity Ghoul is a good alternate exotic if you prefer not to mess with special ammo. (Change Spark of Beacons in this case, especially if your heavy isn’t an LMG)
• Any weapon with the Voltshot perk has excellent synergy with this build, especially special ammo weapons. (Snipers aren’t recommended). Although it could be troublesome for new players to reload after every kill or build a bad habit of over-reloading. (I’d recommend Path of Least Resistance)
• Ionic Sentry is a very good alternative to Arc Soul. It blinds and can keep your Conduction Tines up but is a bit tougher for new players to grasp since it requires a bit more micro management.
• Feel free to change chest mods for more Damage Reduction or whatever you prefer.

The Artifact Perks give trace rifle damage and heals, exhaust improvements, bolt charge on debuffed kills, super regeneration, super damage, and a variety of other bonuses of your choosing. These buffs are what make this build with Coldheart and Crown of Tempests in particular very effective. After the season ends, this build will still work but it won’t have the same oomf and might be more effective with other special ammo weapons.
