Build Details

How It Works

Genuinely one of the most destructive and easy-to-use builds in the game, Ashen Wake absolutely cooks with the changes to armor stats in the EoF.

Here's how it works:

Main Aspect

  • Fusion Grenade instantly explodes, doing big damage.
  • If you kill 3 or more enemies it instantly regens.
  • After getting those kills, you will have Roaring Flames times 3.
  • When Roaring Flames is up, the next Fusion Grenade will do a ridiculous amount of damage, resulting in most bosses losing the majority of their health.

Healing

  • Ember of Resolve cures you each time you get a Grenade Kill.
  • Sunspots from ability and scorched kills apply restoration to you.
  • Throwing Hammer pickup heals you.
  • Heal Clip.
  • Wolfsbane Sword heals the more hits you land (good to set up Sunspot on boss before running in with sword).
  • Bushido armor bonus heals you when getting a kill with a freshly drawn weapon, think heal-clip BEFORE heal-clip.

Weapon Damage

  • Mint Retrograde exclusively for ranged units.
  • MIDA for close-ranged general play (if in tight situations, proc heal clip).
  • Wolfsbane for the fun-factor and boss-dps (honestly love this sword it feels so goofy yet exciting to use).

That's about it to be honest. This build is super easy to use and the gameplay loop is super easy to set up. Quite different to my Prismatic build I posted a few days ago, but still as dominant nonetheless.

Gameplay Loop

Solar Titan is extremely dominant this season due to the artifact perks and the changes made to armour stats in EoF.

This Ashen Wake build holds up in the majority of content, from Call to Arms to GM's.

Gameplay loop:

  1. Throw Fusion Grenade.
  2. Gain stacks of Roaring Flames.
  3. Gain instant regen of Grenade if you kill 3 or more enemies.
  4. At 3 stacks of Roaring Flames your Grenade does significantly more damage, basically insta-killing most high level enemies.
  5. Dip into Sunspots created from ability final blows to gain Restoration and regen your abilities faster.
  6. Repeat.
