Build Details
This Strand build allows you to gain Frost Armor and Woven Mail even without kills. Once you get Banner of War on top of that, dying becomes somewhat difficult.
A weapon with Attrition Orbs perk will generate orbs just by shooting. When you shoot precision hits the target is also Severed because of Thread of Isolation. Combine that with Wind Chill and you get Frost Armor at the same time.
Once you have Woven Mail and Frost Armor you can grapple to enemies and start killing them with Winterbite, which starts Banner of War. Stack it to level 4 and after that you can just go on killing enemies with any weapon or skill at hand. Your armor is refreshed by orbs or Tangles you get along the way. And there will be plenty of them.
Winterbite hits with ammo will slow and freeze enemies taking care of Overload and Unstoppable champions. Should you face Barrier champions, you can switch one of the weapons to scout or shotgun, which ever you prefer.
Shoot and score precision hits at an enemy with Veiled Threat to Sever the enemy, get Frost Armor and create orbs.
Collect orbs to get Woven Mail.
Close the distance to enemies using Grapple with active Frost Armor and Woven Mail.
Score melee kills with Winterbite or powered melee to start Banner of War.
Kill stuff any which way to keep Banner of War running, and collect orbs and Tangles to refresh Woven Mail.
