Destiny 2 Hunter BuildPrismatic Hunter
PvEDouble fires tracking bolts. Landing bolts leeches health from the target.
Your grenade becomes a cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally. If they reach a target, they detonate in a blinding explosion; if they reach an ally, the moths grant your ally a Void overshield.
Build Details
The Mothkeeper's Wraps are an exotic piece that I have seen many people sleep on in when building prismatic. The aim of this build is to be able to throw your moths as often as possible for their add clear and burst damage effectiveness.
Grenade Spam To achieve maximum grenade recharge, we have an ability chain using armor mods, as well as some buffs and artifact perks to keep the uptime on our grenades as high as possible. The Devour buff granted by Buried Bloodline gives us additional grenade energy on kills, and we can pair this with enhanced demolitionist on the Imminence SMG for a very high grenade energy refresh from kills. The Impact Induction mod paired with the Shuriken is another way to gain some energy, as well as the Shieldcrush artifact perk. Lastly, the Gunpowder Gamble will proc just from the moth kills, giving you an additional big splody
Anti Champion Moths will apply blinding to enemies that survive the blast, which is optimal for killing Unstoppable, and the Jolt from Facet of Dominance fragment covers Overloads as well. Barriers can be easily taken care of as well by killing an enemy with a grenade or melee ability and granting your weapons Volatile rounds and Unraveling rounds respectfully.
Buffs and Debuffs Buffs: 1) Devour (Buried Bloodline) 2) Void Overshield (Void moths, Void Hegemony + Bloodline) 3) Invisible (Stylish Executioner) 4) Radiant (Facet of Dawn, Radiant Orbs) 5) Cure (Grenade kills with Facet of Mending) 6) Amplified (Multikills with Moths) 7) Frost Armor (Facet of Purpose) Debuffs: 1) Weaken (Buried Bloodline Catty) 2) Volatile (Volatile Rounds from Facet of Bravery) 4) Jolt (Moths with Facet of Dominance) 5) Blind (Lightning Moths) 6) Slow/Frozen (Shuriken Melee and Super) 7) Unravel (Unraveling Rounds from Facet of Bravery)
Variations You can adapt this build to work with the generic Prismatic Hunter punch build with combination blow, but without heavily leaning into the punches, they fall off in late game content. It is very effective in medium difficulty, as you can spam melee with Impact induction to recharge your moths. Ex Diris is another obvious paring for this build, but I prefer the rocket sidearm to the spam nade launcher. Bloodline also fits much nicer into the build.
