Destiny 2 Warlock BuildSolar Warlock Build - "The Roaring Phoenix"

This build revolves around the exotic helmet Dawn Chorus and the scout rifle Skyburner's Oath.

Skyburner's Oath will be the main weapon of this build. It's hipfire fires a lob of solar damage that applies 5 scorch stacks (10 with Ember of Ashes). Scorch plays a huge part of the build, as with Dawn Chorus increases the damage of scorch by 200% (a x3 damage increase) and grants melee energy on scorch ticks. Ember of Searing and Ember of Singing also play into the scorch loop as they provide both further ability regen on defeating scorched targets and class ability regen on scorch ticks respectively. The hipfire of Skyburner's will be used to prime targets with scorch, which allows for your abilities to ignite targets. If an ignition occurs from a target that was originally scorched by Skyburner's it will receive any damage buffs from. Ignitions will also apply scorch to all nearby targets due to Ember of Char, so it won't interrupt the playstyle of Dawn Chorus since it only buffs scorch.

The other two weapons are up to personal choice, but I would go for a solar heavy to take advantage of the solar surge on the legs. I recommend Tinasha's Mastery and Hezen Vengeance as they're both great weapons, but anything works, go wild.

Overall this build is a pretty fun playstyle that works in the majority of the game's content. It does work even in Master and GM content, but in those activities it's reliant on if Solar Surge is available and it requires more risk due to the lack of damage resist on Solar.
