The final round in the magazine deals bonus damage, drawing from the wielder's life force, and then regenerates itself. Defeating powerful combatants or multiple targets rapidly restores health.

How It Works

I love Touch of Malice and I have over 50 000 PVE kills with it. It's a gun that doesn't care about any metas and always stays consistent. I regularly test new builds with it and always have a ton of fun with it, even with the embarrassingly bad builds. Out of all my builds, this just might be my favourite.

Now I know at base this looks like just another Getaway Artist build and in most ways it is, but ToM brings a level of fun and uniqueness to this build that I doubt a lot of you have experienced. Most of you probably sees ToM as the useless exotic that kills you and could never be used in high-end content. I hope via this build that I not only give you a fun ToM build( one of the only ones out there), but that I open your eyes to what ToM can actually do and that you can now also create your own ToM builds!

With this build I hope all of you will see what I see in ToM. By ensuring that you can safely use ToM to it's full extent, without worrying about dying or putting yourself in danger, the pure damage output of ToM paired with the new 200 Grenade Stat buffed seeker is truly satisfying.

Tips From An Experienced Touch Of Malice User:

1.Don't fear the damage from the final round, as long as you have some source of healing it really isn't any worry.

2.NEVER reload!

3.Devour isn't the only way to use this exotic.

4.Don't forget about the blight you can occasionally shoot.

5.Remember that this weapon focuses around the 'Sword Logic', meaning that killing combatants actually heals you.( I know that this is stated in the exotic perk description, but more often than not people forget about it)

6.ToM is surprisingly good in the Crucible.

7.This gun is a Weapon of Sorrow, so interactions with them will work.( Sadly most interactions will most likely be limited to the blight, as seen with Necrotic Grips)

8.The blight also buffs the damage of other Weapons of Sorrow.( Osteo Striga, Thorn and Necrochasm)

Gameplay Loop

1.Deploy your turret. 2.Ensure that ToM is on the final round. 3.Keep getting kills and make sure to proc devour. 4.Pop transcendence directly after you deployed a turret. 5.When you have your super, deploy a turret, pop transcendence, pop super and still only use ToM, no grenades or melees.( While you are in Song of Flame ToM gains radiant and the ability to scorch, doing crazy boss damage) 6. Use your blight whenever you have it, but preferably on bosses or mini bosses.( The damage gained is 50% for around 3.5 seconds, so don't forget to use it in the rotation I discussed on number 5)
