How It Works

Using Weavewalk and Weaver's Call on a Strand Warlock in Destiny 2: The Final Shape offers a unique blend of survivability, crowd control, and synergy with airborne playstyles—especially when paired with Rain of Fire.

Weavewalk Benefits: Damage Resistance: Activating Weavewalk grants significant damage resistance while you're in the weaving state, making it an excellent tool for repositioning safely in both PvE and PvP. Threadling Generation: As you stay in Weavewalk, you generate Threadlings over time, which can overwhelm groups of enemies when released. Tactical Disengagement: The phasing effect allows you to disengage from lethal situations without being punished, perfect for Warlocks who prefer aggressive play but need an escape button. Weaver's Call Benefits: Threadling Burst on Rift Cast: Casting your Rift spawns several Threadlings that seek out enemies immediately. This adds offensive capability to what’s traditionally a defensive cooldown. Synergy with Rift Builds: Works exceptionally well with abilities or exotics that enhance Rift functionality, giving you both healing/empowering effects and offensive pressure simultaneously. Why Pair with Rain of Fire? Airborne Effectiveness: Rain of Fire provides improved airborne effectiveness and reloads all your equipped weapons when you dodge in the air. This perfectly complements Strand’s high mobility and vertical playstyle. Weapon Synergy: Works best with Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles, boosting their damage after an aerial dodge. This allows you to maintain constant DPS while your Threadlings handle adds. Flow of Combat: The aerial dodge reloads your weapons, and you can immediately dive back into Weavewalk to generate more Threadlings or pop your Rift for even more. The gameplay loop becomes: Aerial dodge to reload and boost damage. Use Rift to spawn Threadlings via Weaver’s Call. Activate Weavewalk to generate more Threadlings while repositioning. Release Threadlings to swarm enemies, repeat. Optimal Weapons: Fusion Rifles: Vex Mythoclast or Deliverance for fast, high-damage shots. Linear Fusion Rifles: Arbalest or Cataclysmic for boss DPS phases. Strand Weapons: The Immortal SMG or Quicksilver Storm for Strand synergy and constant ability regeneration. Mods & Fragments Suggestions: Thread of Evolution: Boosts Threadling damage. Thread of Mind: Grants class ability energy on Threadling kills, reducing Rift cooldown. Thread of Ascent: Activating grenade ability reloads weapons and boosts AE—synergizes with Rain of Fire’s dodge reload. This build excels in controlling large groups with minimal downtime, offering a balance of survivability, mobility, and lethal airborne damage output.
