How It Works

Hey Guardians, welcome back Titans! I’m Profane, and thanks for checking out the video.

Prismatic Consecration has been one of the most reliable and dominant Titan builds in Destiny 2 since The Final Shape launched. But with the release of Heresy, this build is set to undergo some major changes—particularly in terms of its damage and overall effectiveness.

Today, we’re breaking down how you can still get great results from Consecration, even after the upcoming nerfs.

What’s Changing with Consecration? The range of its Solar waves is being reduced by 55%. The damage of both the slam and Solar waves is also being cut by 55%, but the impact won’t be as bad as it sounds. Thanks to the way Ignitions scale, damage will be adjusted based on enemy count: Single targets will take 31% less damage. Two targets will see a 21% reduction. Three or more enemies will only experience a 16% decrease. No sugarcoating it—Consecration won’t be as strong as before, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still be effective. With the right setup, you’ll still be clearing waves of enemies with ease.

Let’s dive into the best class tree options, artifact mods, and exotics to keep Consecration viable in Heresy.

Shifting Focus: New Build Priorities In Revenant, the strongest Consecration setups relied heavily on Stasis effects amplified by the artifact. But Heresy brings a shift towards Strand and Arc bonuses, making it beneficial to pivot into those.

A new Arc ability—Bolt Charges—is being introduced in Heresy, which will boost damage output and crowd control. Several artifact mods will help activate this effect, making it a key component of our build.

Additionally, Amplified is getting buffed, granting a 15% damage resistance bonus. Pairing this with Facet of Protection will provide even greater durability for tough encounters.

Key Aspects & Melee Choices Knockout ensures you become Amplified whenever you defeat an enemy with a Consecration slam. Frenzied Blades allows for three consecutive Consecration slams and also applies Sever, reducing enemy damage output by 40%. Bonus: Knockout also grants up to a 50% increase to melee damage and provides healing on melee kills. For grenades, Shackle Grenades are the best choice, suspending enemies for easier Consecration slams. However, Pulse Grenades could be a strong alternative, especially with new Arc artifact mods enhancing their effectiveness.

Super Selection: Thundercrash vs. Berserker Thundercrash is best for burst damage against high-value targets and makes it easier to stay Amplified. Berserker is better for hitting multiple enemies and grants Woven Mail for 45% damage resistance. With Knockout equipped, maintaining Amplified should be easy regardless of the choice.

Best Fragments for the Build Facet of Purpose → Grants Amplified with Thundercrash or Woven Mail with Berserker. Facet of Courage → Boosts Light-based ability damage by 10% when applying Strand debuffs. Facet of Dawn → 20% weapon damage buff for 5 seconds after landing a powered melee, also enabling weapons to pierce Barrier Champions. Facet of Protection → Grants 15% damage resistance (32% when Transcendent). Facet of Ruin (Optional) → Extends Ignition range, but could be swapped for Facet of Awakening or Balance for better ability uptime. Stacking Resistances: Even though resistance bonuses don’t add up directly (they multiply instead), you’ll still achieve over 70% total damage resistance when combining Amplified, Facet of Protection, and Woven Mail.

Artifact Mods to Take Advantage Of Unraveling Orbs

Grants Unraveling Rounds to Strand weapons upon collecting an Orb of Power. These rounds can pierce Barrier Champion shields and cause enemies to take damage over time. Horde Shuttle

Causes Unraveled enemies to spawn Threadlings, adding extra damage. Disruptor Break

Enhances Sever effects, making enemies even weaker. Dielectric Mod

Grants Bolt Charges when defeating JOLTED or BLINDED enemies. Weapons like Thunderlord, Cloudstrike, and Grand Overture will help generate Bolt Charges quickly. Flashover

Increases the damage of Bolt Charges, making them more impactful. Defibrillating Blast

Stunning Champions grants a full stack of Bolt Charges, which releases an Arc bolt that Jolts enemies and heals you. Best Exotic Choices for Consecration in Heresy Synthoceps / Spirit of Will

Boosts melee damage significantly, keeping Consecration powerful. Spirit of Contact (Preferred Choice)

Spreads Jolt on powered melee final blows, activating Arc artifact mods and rapidly generating Bolt Charges. Spirit of Severance

Triggers extra energy bursts on melee final blows, boosting crowd control. Spirit of Inmost Light

Optimizes ability uptime, ensuring frequent ability regeneration. Spirit of Abeyant (Best Synergy Choice)

Sends out Strand lashes on class ability activation, suspending enemies and synergizing perfectly with our Arc & Strand focus. Cuirass of the Falling Star

Boosts Thundercrash damage by 55% and grants bonus Super energy on melee final blows, allowing for more frequent Super casts. Final Thoughts Even with the nerfs, Consecration remains a dominant build archetype for Titans in Prismatic. While it won’t be as strong against single targets, it will still excel at clearing large groups of enemies.

By incorporating Arc and Strand synergies, leveraging the right artifacts, and picking the best exotics, you’ll still be mowing through waves of enemies in Heresy.

Gameplay Loop

Step 1: Throw Shackle Grenade to Suspend Step 2: Consecrate Enemies. Step 3: Follow up with Fusion Rifles. Step 4: Cast Barricade to Suspend Enemies. Step 5: Consecrate suspended enemies. Step 6: Follow up with Strand weapons with Hatchling/ Slice or Arc Weapons with Jolt Step 7: Use Super on High Value Targets or when under heavy pressure. Step 8: Cast Transcendence against dense groups of enemies/ champions. Step 9: Spam Grenades/ Slams when transcendent
