Build Details
The Mask of Fealty is the latest Hunter Exotic introduced in the Revenant episode, and it brings a range of powerful advantages when paired with Withering Blades, the Stasis melee ability.Initially, I was hesitant to switch to this Exotic, as the Renewal Grasp has been a strong go-to for Stasis builds. However, the Mask of Fealty quickly proved itself to be an excellent option and has become a standout choice for both standard Stasis and Prismatic subclass builds. The added elemental buffs, like Radiance, make the Mask of Fealty particularly effective in Prismatic setups. However, I’ve included links to both Prismatic and standard Stasis builds in the description so you can experiment with both and see what works best for you.Null Factor: Withering Blades Synergy The Mask of Fealty comes with the Null Factor intrinsic perk, which enhances the Withering Blades melee ability in several ways. When thrown, your Withering Blades will create small Stasis crystals upon bouncing or hitting targets. Up to two crystals can form, and hitting those with Withering Blades will grant 7.5% bonus melee energy. With two charges of Withering Blades and improved regeneration, you’ll be able to use this ability much more frequently. Furthermore, if a frozen enemy or Stasis crystal shatters from a Withering Blade, three smaller Withering Blades will fan out from the target, each capable of generating more Stasis crystals and additional melee energy. This ability creates strong crowd control, allowing you to consistently freeze and slow enemies, which works seamlessly with this season's Stasis-themed artifact mods. But before we dive into those mods, let’s look at the Prismatic subclass setup.Prismatic Subclass Synergy For this build, we're using Stylish Executioner and Winter's Shroud as our Prismatic Aspects.Winter's Shroud: When you dodge, you release a burst of chill, slowing nearby enemies. This triggers a 3-second buff that increases your class ability regeneration by 300%. Since we’re using Gambler's Dodge, we’ll instantly refill our melee energy, allowing for a quick follow-up with Withering Blades. The best part? After dodging, you also gain a 50% damage resistance bonus for 4 seconds, making you tougher and more resilient during combat.Stylish Executioner: This Aspect provides two key benefits: invisibility and enemy weakening. Defeating enemies with your abilities (including those affected by Shatter or Ignition) will render you briefly invisible. This gives you time to reposition, heal, or escape intense situations. While invisible, throwing Withering Blades will weaken enemies, applying a 15% damage debuff, making them more vulnerable to all incoming damage. For grenades, we’re sticking with Duskfield Grenades to maintain the focus on slowing and freezing enemies. However, if you want to go full Stasis, Glacier Grenades are a solid choice since hitting the crystals with Withering Blades activates the Null Factor benefits.Super Choice When it comes to the super, it's a bit of a toss-up depending on activity modifiers. We’re considering two options:Silence and Squall: This super adds to your ability to freeze enemies and trigger shatter effects. Tether: While it doesn’t provide the same freezing power, it pulls large groups of enemies together and applies a 30% weakening debuff, making them easier to defeat. Pairing it with the Facet of Purpose fragment provides a Void overshield, boosting damage resistance by 70%, which is much stronger than Frost Armor. Fragment Choices Here’s a look at the key fragments that support this build:Facet of Dawn: Activates Radiance when you strike enemies with Withering Blades, granting 25% increased weapon damage. Additionally, it lets weapons pierce Champion barriers, which is extremely helpful in tougher content.Facet of Courage: Increases the damage of your Light-based abilities by 10%, which boosts abilities like Scorch, Ignition, Jolt, Suppression, and Volatile—great for weapon synergy.Facet of Ruin: Increases the damage and radius of Ignition and Shatter effects. This complements our build perfectly, as we’ll be triggering Ignitions and Shattering effects constantly with Withering Blades and Shattered Stasis crystals.Facet of Hope: This fragment boosts class ability regeneration by 60% when an elemental buff is active. This synergizes well with Winter's Shroud and Withering Blades, ensuring you have fast ability regeneration and constant uptime on Withering Blades.Facet of Awakening: When you defeat enemies rapidly, this fragment creates elemental pickups. With this build, it’ll generate Firesprites for grenade energy and Stasis Shards for melee energy. Pairing this with the Served Cold artifact mod gives you bonus class and melee energy when collecting these pickups, improving ability uptime.Artifact Mods Several artifact mods complement this build, notably:Hail the Storm: When shattering Stasis crystals, tiny ice shards are released that slow enemies, and activating the associated tonic increases damage dealt by 12.5%. This mod works directly with Mask of Fealty, enhancing the overall crowd control and damage output.Wind Chill: Landing precision hits with Stasis weapons grants you Frost Armor, increasing your damage resistance by 4.5% per stack. This stacks well with the damage resistance from Winter's Shroud and any overshields.Crystalline Converter: This mod increases the number of Stasis crystals generated when you throw Withering Blades. It adds even more utility to Mask of Fealty, helping you generate additional melee energy and keep the cycle going.Brain Freeze: Frozen enemies now emit a field of Stasis energy that slows nearby enemies, which helps spread Darkness debuffs across enemies, further boosting damage via Facet of Courage.Weapons for the Build To maximize the Mask of Fealty's potential, focus on weapons that synergize with freezing and Ignition effects:Legendary Weapons: Look for weapons with perks like Chill Clip, Headstone, Coldsteel, and Incandescent. Weapons like Calus Mini-Tool, Heliocentric, Riptide, and Liturgy are great options.Exotic Weapons: The Icebreaker, Polaris Lance, Dragon's Breath, Conditional Finality, and Ager’s Scepter are ideal. These Exotics all work exceptionally well with the freezing and Ignition synergies of this build.
Gameplay Loop: Step 1: Throw Withering Blades to Freeze Step 2: Dodge to regain Melee Energy Step 3: Throw Duskfield to Slow/Freeze Grenades Step 4: Use Weapons that Slow/Freeze or Scorch Step 5: Use Melee as available. Step 6: Cast Super against High Value Targets
