Build Details
This is a build that goes beyond seasonal trends. It’s immune to artifact shifts and offers everything you need to survive, thrive, and dominate any encounter Destiny throws at you.
That makes it the perfect loadout to prepare for the upcoming expansion, Edge of Fate.
At the core of this build are two phenomenal Exotic traits found on the Relativism class item. I've tested nearly every combination available—dozens of them—but the one I keep coming back to every single season is:
Spirit of Crytarachne
- Spirit of Inmost Light
This combo has been viable for nearly a year, and while many creators have showcased variations of it, I realized I’ve never made a proper deep-dive guide on this setup. So today, I’m going to walk you through how to fully optimize it—for survivability, regeneration, and raw power.
Exotic Trait Breakdown: 🕸 Spirit of Crytarachne: Grants Woven Mail every time you throw a grenade. That’s an instant 45% damage resistance for 10 seconds. It also stacks with other resistance buffs like Amplified, Frost Armor, and Overshields—and you don’t need to get kills or make orbs to trigger it. Just throw a grenade, and you’re good.
💡 Spirit of Inmost Light: Massively increases your ability regeneration whenever you activate any ability. Activating one ability boosts the other two:
First activation: +400% regen to melee & grenade, +25% to class ability
Second activation: +800% melee & grenade regen, +50% to class ability
This encourages a constant rotation of abilities, feeding into itself and synergizing perfectly with Crytarachne.
Class Setup Aspects: Ascension + Threaded Specter
Both aspects focus heavily on your class ability and synergize with current artifact mods.
Ascension jolts nearby enemies (200 base damage), amplifies you and nearby allies, and gives you +15% damage resistance.
It also spawns a Strand decoy—drawing enemy aggro for up to 12 seconds, letting you flank or reposition.
This also gives us an extra Fragment slot, bringing us to a total of 6.
Ability Selection: Melee: Threaded Spike – severs enemies (cutting their damage by 40%), returns energy based on how many it hits.
Grenade:
Low-tier content: Grapple – wipes groups with ease.
Endgame content: Duskfield – stronger control and Champion utility, especially against Overload/Unstoppable.
Super:
Survivability: Silence & Squall
DPS: Golden Gun (paired with Limit Break mod for +30% Super damage when Radiant or Restoration is active)
Fragments: Facet of Purpose: Gain a matching elemental buff (Restoration or Frost Armor) when picking up an Orb based on your Super type.
Facet of Hope: +40–60% class ability regen when under buffs like Amplified, Woven Mail, Radiant, etc.
Facet of Protection: +15% damage resistance when surrounded, increased to +32% while Transcendent.
Facet of Awakening: Generates elemental pickups on rapid final blows—provides Ionic Traces, Tangles, and Stasis Shards.
Facet of Dawn: Grants Radiant when hitting with Threaded Spike, boosting weapon damage by 20% and letting weapons pierce Barrier Champion shields.
Facet of Balance (or your flex pick): Enhance energy generation and synergy with your preferred playstyle.
Weapon Recommendations: Use a mix of Light and Dark elemental weapons (Strand, Stasis, Arc, Void) to fuel Transcendence frequently.
Exotic Pick: Buried Bloodline – Rocket Sidearm that grants Devour
Heals on kill, provides bonus grenade energy, and Weakens enemies (+15% ability/weapon damage).
Great synergy with Volatile Marksman and other Void artifact mods.
Other strong options:
Corrective Measure or Commemoration – for sustained DPS.
Velocity Baton – for crowd control and area denial.
Heavy Ordnance Regeneration – great mod if no Champions are present.
Weapon Perks to Prioritize: Demolitionist
Recycled Energy
Strategist
Elemental Honing
These boost your grenade/class ability uptime and overall energy loop.
Artifact Synergy: With Bolt Charges being a major focus this season, we’re building into:
Photonic Flare: Arc kills (like from Ascension) blind enemies and stun Unstoppables.
Dielectric: Arc debuff kills grant Bolt Charges.
Flashover: Bolt Charges deal +150% damage.
Defibrillating Blast: Stunning Champions triggers Bolt Charges, jolts nearby enemies, and heals you.
Heavy Ordnance Regen (flex): Boosts damage resist and energy when using HMGs or rockets.
Armor Mods: Grenade Kickstart
Impact Induction
Bomber
Elemental Charge
These keep your abilities flowing almost non-stop.
Stats to Prioritize: 100 Resilience = 30% damage resistance
100 Discipline = fastest grenade cooldown
100 Mobility = fastest class ability cooldown
Try to cap Resilience first, then focus on Discipline and Mobility.
And that’s it—a top-tier Prismatic build that’s built to survive anything the game throws your way, both now and well into Edge of Fate.
If you haven’t tried this Crytarachne + Inmost combo yet, now is the time. You won’t want to go into the new expansion without it.
Step 1: Throw Threaded Spike to Activate Radiance (Try to Catch it when it comes back) Step 2: Throw Grenade Step 3: Push up close to enemies and Activate Ascension Step 4: Follow up with Weapon Rotations Step 5: Use Abilities as available. Step 6: Use Transcendency when available. Step 7: Use Super against High Value Targets, Champs and Bosses (Only Use When Radiant) Step 8: Collect Orbs! Step 9: Throw Tangles! Step 10: Always Be Moving!
