Destiny 2 Hunter BuildSurprise Attack

Arc Hunter is all about building up Combination Blow for high melee damage. The general gameplay loop involves cycling a melee attack and dodging near enemies as one ability will refund the other, and melee kills will build up stacks of Combination Blow for increased melee damage. This is augmented by the exotic Liar's Handshake which increases melee damage even further. Assassin's Cowl is an alternative option for survivability as it will heal and make you invisible after a melee kill or finisher.

At its baseline the build has survivability from damage resistance from Spark of Resistance and Electric Armor as well as healing from defeating targets with combination blow or picking up Orbs of Power. Gambler's Dodge will pickup Orbs of Power with the Powerful Attraction mod, allowing you to seamlessly heal when performing the string of dodges and melees.

The weapons that pair best with this build are shotguns with the perk One-Two Punch and Legend of Acrius. This is a good means of additional burst damage for higher health targets because at some point you will have to use weapons as higher health targets will survive melee attacks.
