What's up, Guardians? Profane here—welcome back to the channel! It's been a minute since we focused on a Hunter build. We've been all about Titans lately, especially with that new Stormskeep Aspect, but today, it's time to dust off our cloaks and dive into an absolutely incredible Arc Hunter setup that will make you nearly indestructible!
If you're looking for a reliable Arc build to solo Lost Sectors, Nightfalls, Dungeons, and other endgame content, then look no further. The best option right now? A build centered around Gifted Conviction—and trust me, with this setup, you're going to feel like a Titan, tanking insane amounts of damage!
Gifted Conviction is a game-changer for Arc Hunters, thanks to its Gift of Certainty intrinsic trait. Here’s how it works:
When you apply Jolt to nearby enemies, you gain bonus damage resistance.
The resistance scales based on how many enemies are Jolted:
1 enemy = 25% resistance
2 enemies = 40% resistance
3+ enemies = 50% max resistance
This effect triggers within a 15-meter range and lasts for 10 seconds. Each new Jolt refreshes the timer.
But here’s the best part—this resistance stacks multiplicatively with other sources like Amplified, Spark of Resistance, and Overshields.
For example, if you’re running 100 Resilience (which provides 30% base damage reduction) and then stack Gifted Conviction, Amplified, and Spark of Resistance, your total damage resistance skyrockets to 77.7%!
[ABILITIES & ASPECTS]
To maximize Gifted Conviction, we’re using two key Aspects:
Tempest Strike – Every time you defeat a Jolted enemy with this, you gain one Bolt Charge stack.
Ascension – Grants instant Amplified status, giving us even more damage resistance and Jolt potential.
And here’s how they work together:
Tempest Strike Jolts enemies when activated.
After performing a Tempest Strike, you gain a 75% resistance bonus for 4 seconds.
Ascension Jolts all nearby enemies and instantly activates Amplified for another resistance boost.
To keep this loop going, we’re running Gambler’s Dodge and Combination Blow, letting us constantly refresh our melee energy and keep the resistance buffs rolling.
[FRAGMENTS & BUILD SYNERGY]
For Fragments, we’re prioritizing:
Spark of Resistance – More damage reduction when surrounded.
Spark of Ions & Spark of Discharge – Grants extra Bolt Charges and creates Ionic Traces when defeating Jolted and Blinded enemies.
Spark of Focus – Regenerates class ability energy while sprinting.
Spark of Feedback – Increases melee damage by 75%, buffing our Tempest Strike.
Spark of Amplitude – Generates Orbs of Power from rapid defeats.
These Fragments allow us to rapidly cycle abilities, generate tons of Orbs, and constantly keep damage resistance and ability uptime maxed out.
[ARMOR MODS & PLAYSTYLE]
To optimize this build further, we’re running:
Focusing Strike & Distribution – More class ability regen.
Invigoration & Absolution – Reduces cooldowns on ability energy pickup.
Utility Kickstart – Converts Armor Charges into class ability energy, letting us chain Tempest Strike and Ascension together nonstop.
For survivability and damage output, we’re also stacking Heavy Handed, Siphon, and Reaper mods—ensuring we constantly generate Orbs of Power for ability regen and Super recharge.
[ARTIFACT MODS & BOLT CHARGES]
Now, let’s talk about why this build is even crazier with the current seasonal Artifact.
Flashover – Increases Bolt Charge damage by 150%.
Dielectric Mod – Grants extra Bolt Charges for each Jolted and Blinded enemy defeated.
Photonic Flare – Causes Blinding explosions when defeating Exhausted or Severed enemies.
Defibrillating Blast – Stuns Champions and grants a full stack of Bolt Charges, triggering Jolt and providing a small health boost—huge for Arc Hunters, who typically lack strong healing sources.
This combination boosts our crowd control, survivability, and damage against high-value targets like Champions and Tormentors.
[WEAPON RECOMMENDATIONS]
To take this build to the next level, we need weapons that Jolt, Blind, or create Ionic Traces.
Trace Rifles:
Warlord’s Spear, The Unsworn, Coldheart, Microcosm – Great synergy with Beam Medic and Harsh Refraction Artifact mods.
Exotic Primaries:
Delicate Tomb – Now buffed to create extra Ionic Traces.
Queensbreaker, Thunderlord, Grand Overture – High burst Jolt damage.
Double Special Loadout:
Edge of Concurrence, Rake Angle – Great for special ammo economy with the No Bell Artifact mod.
Any legendary weapon with Voltshot or Blinding Grenades will also fit perfectly into this build.
[FINAL THOUGHTS]
This Gifted Conviction Arc Hunter build is an absolute tank in PvE, giving you near Titan-level survivability while maintaining the mobility and agility of a Hunter. The synergy between Jolt, Bolt Charges, and resistance stacking makes this one of the most powerful endgame solo builds in Destiny 2 right now.
