Build Details

How It Works
  • In act 2 we got 2 amazing artifact perks. Curative orbs when boosted with a tonic will make it so that picking up an orb of power or elemental pick up will restore some health and Arc Compounding makes it so that we deal increased arc damage against blinded enemies.

  • So this build aims to create a ton of ionic traces that will heal you and provide you with a ton of ability energy, it will let you blind and jolt targets to get deal the most amount of arc damage as possible, and to top it all off you’ll have a ton of DR.

  • That comes from our exotic, Gifted Conviction. The main advantage this gives is that when you jolt targets you’ll get stacking damage resistance capping out at 4 stacks which is equivalent to 50%. You’ll be able to jolt enemies with your grenade, melee and even your weapons meaning you’ll always have this DR active.

  • This build revolves mainly around using your melee. With Tempest strike, you send out a wave of arc energy that will damage and jolt enemies and when paired with gifted conviction you also get some extra damage from 3 added arc projectiles.

  • We then become amplified by killing a jolted enemy which then procs flow state to gain 200% class ability regen so that we can constantly spam our melee into our dodge and back into our melee.

  • The whole time you’ll be creating ionic traces from spark of ions and discharge, feeding back into your abilities and healing you.

Gameplay Loop

I love to start by using my tempest strike to immediately become amplified and proc our DR. If you have more enemies to take care of, dodge to get back your melee and use the tempest strike again. If you don’t have either of those available, you can use your grenade or primary weapon to take them out. Whenever you come across a boss or miniboss, throw your gathering storm to quickly take them out. It’s honest such a simple yet effective build.
