Deadman Danny is the Fifth Hero in the City Never Sleeps Update

Deadman Danny is among the six new Deadlock heroes that are joining the roster with the City Never Sleeps Update.

He was the fifth hero voted in on October 13th, 2026.

Today, Fairfax Industries is proud to introduce their most valuable salesman: Deadman Danny. Wielding a rocket launcher and flying high above the streets of New York (courtesy of the Chimera Mk1 - the latest and greatest in self-adhered aviation technology), Danny rains his Strix Salvo missiles down upon foes, marking them for future attacks. Jettison Fuel is a handy trick that both expels heat from the Chimera System, while also dousing nearby enemies in the warm embrace of a fiery inferno. Yet his most impressive tactic has always been his ability to Close the Deal, wowing prospective customers with an explosive hands-on demonstration of all that Fairfax has to offer. - "At Fairfax Industries we say "All's Fair", but that's not true! Because with the Fairfax Chimera Mark 1, you have the advantage."

You can explore the other new heroes below:

Deadlock Deadman Danny Abilities

Strix Salvo (1)

Launch a salvo of spirit missiles that lodge into the ground along a line. The missiles explode after a delay or upon detecting an enemy, dealing spirit damage and marking the target.

Shooting a marked enemy with a charged shot consumes a mark to deal bonus spirit damage and apply a fading slow.

Hold and drag to select the angle.

Tips for Strix Salvo

  • Since his fully charged M1 is an AoE splash, aim to proc multiple marks at once when enemies are grouped together.

Chimera Mk1 (2)

Hold SPACE to fly, building up heat. When max heat is reached, your jetpack will begin to overheat.

Overheating: After a short delay, dive to the ground. Upon impact, create an explosion that deals damage and launches you and nearby enemies. If no hero is hit, you stun yourself. Press 2 to dive early.

Cooling Down: After overheating, the jetpack cannot be used until it fully cools down.

Slows affect you while airborne. You always explode on death.

Tips for Chimera Mk1

  • Cold Front and Reactive Barrier work well with this ability with Cold Front to help you keep the overheat in check and Reactive Barrier to make it more forgiving when you dive.

Jettison Fuel (3)

Spray fuel dealing weapon damage over time and shredding bullet resist, building up to a huge backblast that deals spirit damage and knocks you backwards.

Vents the jetpack when dealing damage.

Close The Deal (4)

Grab an enemy and give them a hands-on demonstration, flying high into the air before crashing back to the ground.

You and the participant take spirit damage over time while falling and spirit damage upon impact. Damage is increased to enemies under 50% health.
