How to Play: Infinite Rally Katarina Meme Combo
Hello everyone, Silverfuse here with another fun, meme combo here!
This deck abuses the cost reduction of Akshan’s Fount of Power that comes from Warlord’s Hoard.
The cost reduction can be replicated with Mimic up to 3 times!
Now, we need a card that can benefit from a cost reduction of 4 and win the game as this combo requires a lot of setup and resources, so the payoff is important.
This is where Katarina comes into play! When she is reduced by 4 mana, her leveled version now costs 0.
This allows you to play her over and over again for free which means infinite Rallys!
Deck Code: CECAMBAHAEODMT4AAGBACAICAMEQEAIDFIXACBADAEBAGBAHBVOYUAIBAQBQEAICAQDVCUY

This combo isn’t an easy one to pull off as it requires an extensive setup as well as getting the treasure from Warlord’s Hoard.
On top of that, the combo can easily be countered by cards such as Minimorph that can break the combo if you don’t have a second Katarina in hand.
However, it feels very rewarding to get the combo to go off.
You can check out the combo being performed in this video:
Combo Explained
Let’s take a look at how this combo is set up and performed. For the full combo to be performed, you must play 5 key cards during a turn.
However, due to Fount of Power drawing 2 cards, you don’t need to have all of these cards in your hand before performing a combo.
The cards that you will need for a full combo are 3 Mimics, Katarina, and Fount of Power.
You will be using Mimic on Fount of Power 3 times so that you get to play 4 Fount of Powers and reduce the cost of all your cards by 4.
If you want to save mana, the best way to do this is Mimic on Fount of Power, play Power, Mimic a Power, play a Power, use your final Mimic and play a power.
This makes you use less mana as well as protects your hand space since you will be drawing 8 cards minimum while doing this combo.
You can always do this combo if you have the attack token.
However, if you don’t, you can still achieve the combo, but you will need an already leveled Katarina so that you can gain the attack token to complete the combo.
It is important to pay attention to when you are activating your Warlord’s Palace if you don’t have a leveled Katarina available.
Combo Set-Up
In the early game, the most important thing is to get Akshan going so that you can get your Warlord’s Palace going.
Ideally, you want to play him on turn 2 and hopefully have the attack token as well.
If you don’t have Akshan then Vekaruan Vagabond is the next best option. It is critical to get the Warlord’s Palace started as quickly as you can. While focusing on the palace and staying alive, you are looking to draw as many Mimics as possible as well as a Katarina to set up for your combo turn. The more Mimics you have on your combo turn before drawing, the best chance you have to complete a full combo.
Mulligan
You will always be mulliganing hard for Akshan.
If you already have Akshan, then you will want to find Vekaruan Vagabonds to accelerate your Warlord’s progress.
The nice thing about combo decks such as this one is the mulligan is very straightforward as you are focusing on finding your combo pieces.
Matchups
The lower the interaction an opponent has with champions the better.
You can play multiple Katarinas in a round if you have drawn them which can help against this interaction.
However, cards such as Minimorph can still be a pain to play against.
Fast aggressive decks can also present an issue against this deck as they will be able to race your down before you have combo.
Especially if the deck is heavy on burn spells since you don’t have access to healing.
Against decks that don’t have much removal or if you are running Rite of Negation for Slow/Fast speed removal then you have a pretty good chance of setting up and executing your combo.
Tech Choices
Rite of Calling
This can help you find your champions easier.
Weapon Hilt
This is to help get Warlord’s Hoard/Palace
Promising Future
This card is dead unless you have a Warlord’s on the board so I don’t recommend it except in slower games.
Grappling Hook
Removal that can also level Warlord’s faster.
Runeweaver
A solid unit that can help level up Warlord’s Palace/Hoard faster.
Rite of Negation
To stop slow and fast speed removal such as Vengeance.
Conclusion
This Infinite Rally Katarina deck is fun, but it is one of the harder combos to set up that can be interrupted in a variety of ways.
However, that doesn’t beat the satisfaction of doing a combo and slowly chipping away at your opponent’s units and health with your infinite rallies.
