Hey everyone NicMakesPlays here.
Today I’m going to go over the new cards revealed for the 3rd day of Bandlewood’s spoiler season.
This batch gave us our first new keyword, Impact!
To follow along with past and future Bandlewood card reveals, just click here.
Let’s jump right on in.
Here are the cards from today’s reveal package:
- Hidden Pathways (Bandlewood spell)
- Treasured Trash (Bandlewood spell)
- Arena Kingpin (Bandlewood + Noxus follower)
- Stone Stackers (Bandlewood follower)
- Proto Poro (Bandlewood + Freljord follower)
- Poro Sled (Bandlewood + Freljord follower)
New Keyword: Impact
The Impact Keyword is a new aggro esque keyword that does damage to the Nexus everytime an Impact unit Strikes while attacking.
This keyword can get carried away fast if you have a ton of units that have this Keyword and are able to make wide boards with them.
I could see this being Bandle Cities form of Aggro decks and it has a ton of potential if there are more cheap units with this keyword.
Hidden Pathways
- Hidden Pathways
- 5 mana Burst spell
- Text – Costs 2 less if you’ve created 2+ cards this game. Draw 2.
Hidden Pathways is an insanely powerful spell in Bandlewood. This card costs 5 mana and draws 2 cards, but if you have created 2+ cards this game then it costs 3.
Creating 2 cards is incredibly easy with decks such as PNZ through a single Poro Cannon or Ballistic Bot’s Ignitions.
Bandle City may also be able to create 2 cards easily in just their region alone depending on what cards are released.
Usually, these draw cards such as Salvage and Whispered Words you don’t use until later in the game after you’ve stabilized your board.
So you have plenty of time to achieve this condition to discount Hidden Pathways before you play it.
Treasured Trash
- Treasured Trash
- 10 mana Slow spell
- Text – Fill your hand with random cards. They cost 0 and are Fleeting. You can only play 3 more cards this round.
This card is the meme card of the reveals so far. This card is a 10 mana Slow spell which creates 5 random fleeting cards in your hand that now cost 0.
This is similar to Treasure Trove except you can only play 3 more cards this round. There will be tons of fun decks to play with this card and it could combo nicely with Stress Testing.
Arena Kingpin
- Arena Kingpin
- 3 mana 4|2
- Quick Attack
Arena Kingpin is a 4/2 with Quick Attack Yordle that is dual region between Noxus and Bandle City.
This card is nice because it’s another 3 drop that has Quick attack to apply pressure. You can run this alongside Draven to reliably have a strong Quick Attack unit on 3.
If the Yordle tribal tag gains more support then the card also gets stronger as well.
Stone Stackers
- Stone Stackers
- 2 mana 2|2
- Tough, Impact
Stone Stackers is a 2/2 Yordle that has Impact and Tough.
This card is generically good if Tough is good in the meta, an easy example is blocking the new Puffcap Pup on 2.
When this card attacks its Impact effect also chips in damage.
If the Yordle tribal tag has any value with additional cards then this card will get even better.
Proto Poro
- Proto Poro
- 1 mana 1|1
- Impact
Proto Poro uses the new keyword, Impact which deals 1 damage to the enemy Nexus when the unit strikes.
It’s supposedly the Poro of Bandle City since each region gets a Poro.
This card has playability because it is dual region with Frejlord and Frejlord PnZ is the region combination of Poro decks.
Poro Sled
- Proto Sled
- 5 mana 5|5
- Impact
- Text – Attack: Summon an attacking random 1 cost Poro.
Poro Sled is a huge buff to the Poro deck. Poro Sled is a 5/5 Poro with Impact when attacking it summons a random 1 drop Poro.
This card is strong because of how potent it can get with Poro Snax. If you’ve used a Poro Snax then this card is a 6/6 that summons 2/2’s, and if you’ve used two Poro Snax it’s a 7/7 that summons 3/3’s.
Alongside having a good statline and summoning more Poros he also helps chip damage with Impact.
