Slowest Champions In League of Legends
League of Legends has over 160 champions with a variety of different playstyles and dynamics. Not every champion is made equal, and many champions have been updated over time. Naturally, some champions are stronger than others, tankier than others, and some are even faster than others.
Every champion has to run around the map, but some are incredibly slow and need an early pair of boots to get around the map. Without a pair of boots, they’re easy victims or targets for mobile enemy champions who want to assassinate and take down those immobile, squishy yordles! This Mobalytics guide lists 5 of the slowest and most immobile champions in League of Legends Season 13.
Before we begin, we should lay out the criteria for this list: we will discuss the slowest champions without any items or boots. We will use the base stats for each champion, which you can find here. If you want to learn more about any of the champions on today’s list, check out their Mobalytics Champion Page.
Slowest Champions In League of Legends
Please Note: Multiple champions with the same movement speed may not feature on our list. There are a lot of champions that have 325 movement speed. You can find the complete list here.
1. Kled- 285 MS
Do you want to know who the slowest champion in League of Legends is? Well, Kled takes the title of the most immobile champion in the game. When Kled is dismounted, he becomes incredibly immobile, only having 285 movement speed, making him the first champion on our list.
Kled can only be dismounted by falling below a particular mount of health. Otherwise, he will be pretty mobile. This is why when playing Kled, you need to take calculated risks and go for trades in only favourable circumstances.
So there are a few things you can do when you’re dismounted from Skaaaaarl. The first is to auto-attack a lot, which is possible, especially in easy matchups, but there is never any harm in recalling to get your health back so you can be mobile again. Don’t forget; you can do some cool things with your Q to help you get over walls and escape if you dismounted outside of the laning phase.
2. Anivia- 325 MS
Anivia is the second champion on our list and the first champion with 325 movement speed. Anivia has always felt incredibly immobile, and this stat proves that she is one of the slowest and most immobile champions in the game.
The thing with Anivia is that she is extremely fragile and easy to kill. When her egg is on cooldown, she will get ganked repeatedly by enemy Junglers, so you must always watch your positioning and avoid over-extending.
Playing safe as Anivia and making calculated plays is always a must, especially when your egg is on cooldown. You can be safer on Anivia by correctly understanding her power spikes and spacing with her Ultimate. Don’t overextend unless you have vision placed nearby.
3. Aphelios- 325 MS
Aphelios is the third slowest champion in the game and another champion with only 325 movement speed. I don’t know about you guys, but I still feel like Aphelios is a new champion. Even though he has been out long, he still feels new. Maybe it’s due to his unique kit, but I digress; Apehlios is a very immobile champion in League of Legends.
A good Aphelios will be playing around with their weapons and utilising good wave management in every matchup. You’ll need to play safer in poor matchups and keep playing to your weapons’ strengths.
Appropriate spacing must be kept when playing as Aphelios versus any champion. Make sure you keep the lane warded when over-extended, and after you push, walk back and out of range so the enemy doesn’t instantly all-in you while you’re overextended.
4. Ashe- 325 MS
The fourth champion on our list is Ashe. Ashe is a good champion, but her main weakness throughout the early game is her lack of a dash, her squishiness, and how easy she is to lock down. With only 325 base movement speed, Ashe is another immobile champion in League of Legends.
When playing Ashe, getting a pair of boots early could mean the difference between life and death. Getting them on your first back is a good idea, plus a component item if you can afford them.
To avoid getting blown up on Ashe, try pivoting your positioning to make it harder for the enemy to all-in you with their CC tools. Remember you don’t have a dash, so apply appropriate spacing between you and any hard engage Support.
5. Aurelion Sol- 325 MS
Last but not least champion who is immobile is the one and only Aurelion Sol! After his rework, Aurelion Sol is immobile without his abilities or items. Unlike some of the other champions on our list, Aurelion Sol can indirectly speed himself up and make him move faster with some of his abilities.
As suggested, Aurelion Sol is slow, but he makes up for this with his abilities, which can help him move around the map and quickly get from place to place. This benefits him as, unlike some champions like Ashe and Aphelios, he has some significant escape.
To make survival easier when playing Aurelion Sol, keep your flanks warded so you always know where the enemy is. Please think twice before using your escape tool aggressively; when you use it, check the map.
