Best Late Game Junglers in League of Legends
While Junglers must dominate the early game to get their team ahead, late game champions are very good at winning the late game and becoming a real terror to deal with. Depending on the champion, a small lead early could make them really strong in the late game.
All of the champions on our list are good throughout all game stages. They can gank early, get kills and quickly snowball from there to take over the map.

Best Late Game Junglers in League of Legends
We talk about some of these champions in-depth, and you can also find other strong late-game champions in this video!
1. Kindred
Kindred is a very strong Jungler, but her late game strength relies on her getting stacks.
Kindred can be good in the earlier parts of the game, and she can get a ton of stacks, but she has to be in the right place at the right time. Without good timing and a little bit of favourable RNG, she won’t be as strong as she could be in the late game.
Stacks enhance her abilities and damage and make her stronger over time. With the items she will get as the game develops, she can be a very strong late-game monster.
Tips and Tricks:
- It’s better to use your Ultimate preemptively rather than not at all. Use it just before you or your allies are at threat of dying.
- Kindred can solo objectives pretty easily. Make sure you have priority in nearby lanes before attempting to take it alone.
- Despite marks being super important, do not tunnel vision on them where you put yourself in bad situations to get them.
2. Karthus
Karthus is a fantastic late game Jungler, who is also good throughout all stages of the game. Even with a small lead early, he can be truly obnoxious in the late game.
Firstly, his Ultimate is a global ability which means he will damage many targets at once. Secondly, when he does die, he can still deal damage to targets and cast his Ultimate, so if he dies in the middle of the enemy team, he can deal a ton of damage.
He can be a real pain when he’s ahead, thanks to his insane pick potential with Q and the slow on another of his abilities. If any enemy overextends or gets caught out, he can quickly take them down.
Tips and Tricks:
- Look to gank lanes that are overextended and are low. You do not have the greatest ganking potential, so ganking easy lanes is key.
- Continuously toggle your E on and off for extra damage when farming the jungle camps. Do not leave it on though as it will quickly burn through your mana bar.
- Keep an eye on the minimap at all times and use your Ultimate to pick up kills on low health enemies.
3. Master Yi
What list would be complete without adding Master Yi? Master Yi is a great solo carry champion that can be truly unstoppable in the late game if he has got a lead.
Master Yi is hard to deal with in the late game because of his Q and Ultimate. He can be hard to lock down, and he can one-shot enemy carries easily. It can be challenging for enemy teams to protect their carries against a fed Yi.
Something also important is that Master Yi is very good at all stages of the game, and he can gank early and farm his camps very easily.
Tips and Tricks:
- Focus on farming up a storm in the early game. Get as much gold and XP as quickly as you can so you get your Ultimate quickly.
- Solo objectives like the Dragon or Rift Herald when your allies have priority nearby.
- Avoid being trigger happy with your Q. You can use it to dodge skill shots and hard CC, so try to time it appropriately in those sorts of scenarios.
4. Viego
Viego is one of the newest champions on Summoners Rift, but he is definitely one of the strongest late game Junglers in the game.
One reason why Viego is so strong in the late game is because of his Passive and the ability to take over dead enemies. He can make the game-winning play if he can lock down, kill and then take over the corpse of the enemy hyper carry or an enemy who is excessively feed.
Naturally, Viego is like many other champions on our list, and if he gets a good lead early (which he tends to do as he is an excellent ganker early on), he can become unstoppable later on. Even if he is not entirely fed early, if he can take over a fed enemy, he will be extremely strong.
Tips and Tricks:
- Your E is a very versatile tool. You can use it on towers to make split pushing much more effective, thanks to the bonus attack speed.
- While your Ultimate should be used for fighting the enemy, it can be a good tool to escape or run away from someone. You can use it to jump over walls and make an escape.
- Use your E to reposition in team fights. Play around your cooldowns to make full use of the camouflage.
5. Gwen
The final champion our list is Gwen. She is a very strong champion when ahead, and thanks to her strong early game, she can be a real tyrant late game.
Gwen’s good in the late game because of her short cooldowns and build path. Her damage output is very good, and she can one-shot targets when they’re on top of her. Her Q, in particular, is very strong.
Her W and Ultimate are also very good team fighting tools. She can protect herself while dishing out an insane amount of AOE damage with her Ultimate (and, of course, with her Q) while remaining somewhat safe from incoming CC.
Tips and Tricks:
- Gank lanes that are overextended and out of position. You can easily chase enemies down who are overextended.
- Activate your W to block CC and interrupt when ganking a lane. The mist will block CC and help your ganks succeed.
- When clearing the jungle, try and auto-attack as much as possible before using your Q. The more stacks you have, the more damage your Q will deal.
