Silver Wolf: Guide, Skills, Builds, Teams & More
Silver Wolf, the first limited Nihility unit in HSR, at the time of her release was unique due to her weakness implant. She allowed players to bruteforce off element back when the only DPS were Jing Yuan and Seele in 1.1 thanks to her multiple debuffs.
However the landscape now is very different. Silver Wolf is arguably one of the poorest aged characters, due to her limitation of her debuffs only being ST, and with many newer characters that just straight up have no need for her. SW is practically deadweight in Pure Fiction, but usable in Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow, but nowhere near ideal compared to the other options.
HSR Silver Wolf Release Date
Silver Wolf’s banner will rerun in the second half of Version 3.0 releasing on February 4th, 2025 and will run until February 25th, 2025.
Silver Wolf HSR Kit Overview (Trace Level 10)
Skill – Weakness Implant:
Silver Wolf’s core is being able to implant any weakness on an enemy. She has an 85% chance to add a weakness to one enemy that already doesn’t exist, and reduces the RES of that element by 20% for 2 turn(s). This only applies if Silver Wolf implants a weakness that didn’t exist on the enemy, otherwise you don’t get the benefit of RES.
In addition, SW has a 100% chance to reduce All-Type RES by 10% for 2 turn(s). The element implanted is from one of her teammates’ options, including SW.
This is a nice debuff, because unless the enemy resists a specific element (ex: Cocolia Ice-RES 60%), off element enemies have 20% RES by default, which SW’s implant nullifies and reduces an additional 10%.
Silver Wolf’s implant has some RNG to it. It will not implant elements on the enemy already shared by your teammates, and will take the number of elements in the party, choosing one randomly. Multiple characters with the same element in the party DON’T increase the chances of getting that element.
If the enemy already shares all the elements innately, SW will just choose a random element from your teammates.
Examples:
Enemy has Weakness Wind, Fire, Ice
- Teammate has Fire(Lingsha), SW(Quantum), Tingyun(Lightning), Clara(Physical)
- SW will not implant Fire since Lingsha has it
- SW will implant with a ⅓ chance Lightning, Physical, or Quantum
Enemy has Weakness Ice, Fire, and Imaginary
- Teammate has 2 Quantum (SW and Seele), Fire (Lingsha), Tingyun (Lightning)
- SW will not implant Fire since Lingsha has it.
- SW will implant 1/2 chance Lightning or Quantum
- Chance of Quantum does not go up despite 2 teammates having it
Enemy has Same Weakness(Ice, Fire, Imaginary)
- Teammate has Fire(Lingsha), and 3 Quantum (SW, Seele, and Sparkle)
- SW will not implant Fire since Lingsha has it
- Sw will implant 100% Quantum
In order to minimize the headache from resetting, mono-Quantum teams (teams where everyone is Quantum) can guarantee a Quantum implant, or having other characters other than ur DPSes match the enemy can reduce RNG.
Ultimate (110 Energy):
Silver Wolf with a 100% base chance will reduce the DEF of the enemy by 45% for 3 turns and also do 380% of her ATK to the enemy. SW’s Ultimate also does a lot of toughness damage (30), making it easy for her to break enemies.
Talent, Traces, and Technique:
SW’s talent has a 72% chance to implant a random bug whenever she attacks for 3 turn(s). There are three types of bugs. SW won’t apply already existing bugs till they expire.
- Reduce ATK by 10%
- Reduce DEF by 8%.
- Reduce SPD by 6%.
Two of SW’s traces extend her debuff durations, and one applies more debuffs
- A2 extends her “bug” duration by 1 turn and applies a random bug when you break the enemy.
- A4 increases her Skill duration by 1 turn as well.
- A6 applies an additional 3% All-Type RES if the enemy has 3 or more debuffs on them when she uses her Skill.
Finally her Technique does some damage, ignoring Weakness Type and reduces Toughness to everyone.
Silver Wolf HSR Core Skills

Basic Attack – System Warning: Deals Quantum DMG equal to 100% of Silver Wolf’s ATK to a single enemy.

Skill – Allow Changes?: There is a 85% base chance to add 1 Weakness of an on-field character’s Type to the target enemy. This also reduces the enemy’s DMG RES to that Weakness Type by 20% for 2 turn(s). If the enemy already has that Type Weakness, the effect of DMG RES reduction to that Weakness Type will not be triggered.
Each enemy can only have 1 Weakness implanted by Silver Wolf. When Silver Wolf implants another Weakness to the target, only the most recent implanted Weakness will be kept.
In addition, there is a 100% base chance to further reduce the All-Type RES of the enemy by 10% for 2 turn(s).
Deals Quantum DMG equal to 196% of Silver Wolf’s ATK to this enemy.

Ultimate – User Banned: There’s a 100% base chance to decrease the target enemy’s DEF by 45% for 3 turn(s). And at the same time, deals Quantum DMG equal to 380% of Silver Wolf’s ATK to the target enemy.

Talent – Awaiting System Response…: Silver Wolf can create three types of Bugs: Reduce ATK by 10%, reduce DEF by 8%, and reduce SPD by 6%.

Technique – Force Quit Program: Immediately attacks the enemy. After entering the battle, Quantum DMG deals equal to 80% of Silver Wolf’s ATK to all enemies, and ignores Weakness Types and reduces Toughness from all enemies. Enemies with their Weakness Broken in this way will trigger the Quantum Weakness Break Effect.
Silver Wolf HSR Traces

Generate: “Bug”‘s duration is extended for 1 turn(s). Every time an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, Silver Wolf has a 65% base chance of implanting a random “Bug” in the enemy.

Inject: The duration of the Weakness implanted by Silver Wolf’s Skill increases by 1 turn(s).

Side Note: If there are 3 or more debuff(s) affecting the enemy when the Skill is used, then the Skill decreases the enemy’s All-Type RES by an additional 3%.
Silver Wolf HSR Eidolons

- Social Engineering: After using her Ultimate to attack enemies, Silver Wolf regenerates 7 Energy for every debuff that the target enemy currently has. This effect can be triggered up to 5 time(s) in each use of her Ultimate.
- Zombie Network: When an enemy enters battle, reduces their Effect RES by 20%.
- Payload: Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
- Bounce Attack: After using her Ultimate to attack enemies, deals Quantum Additional DMG equal to 20% of Silver Wolf’s ATK for every debuff currently on the enemy target. This effect can be triggered for a maximum of 5 time(s) during each use of her Ultimate.
- Brute Force Attack: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
- Overlay Network: For every debuff the enemy target has, the DMG dealt by Silver Wolf increases by 20%, up to a limit of 100%.
Eidolon Priority:
SW’s Eidolons compared to recent units are very lackluster, as they mostly focus on increasing her damage, when her job is a support. Investing heavily in her DPS capabilities doesn’t amount to much, when modern DPS eclipse the DMG they output compared to SW.
Her E1 is the only semi-good utility Eidolon, where SW can get up to 35 Energy after using her Ultimate, often shortening her Ult rotation by 1 turn. E2 reduces enemy Effect RES by 20%, allowing her to go for a CRIT Rate or HP body since the EHR requirement reduces greatly. E4 and E6 are straight DPS increases for SW. SW’s Eidolons post E1 strictly helps her personal damage.
At the time of her release SW’s damage contribution might have been meaningful, but it is hardly worth investing in her Eidolons let alone use her nowadays as a sub DPS when there are far better vertical options available.
- Eidolon 1: Medium
- Eidolon 2: Medium Low
- Eidolon 4: Low
- Eidolon 6: Low

Premium Options

Incessant Rain: Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 24% / 28% / 32% / 36% / 40%. When the wearer deals DMG to an enemy that currently has 3 or more debuffs, increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% / 20%. After the wearer uses their Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, there is a 100% base chance to implant Aether Code on a random hit target that does not yet have it. Targets with Aether Code receive 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% / 20% increased DMG for 1 turn.
SW’s signature is a very low value LC. It gives her a conditional 12% CRIT Rate on debuffed enemies, 24% Effect Hit Rate, and a 12% DMG amp. However most Silver Wolfs can’t afford to build for damage unless you get her E2 since the EHR requirements are very high to guarantee her implant. E0 SWs are much better using the Event Light Cone Before the Tutorial Mission Starts.
Her damage output is not worth investing in regardless unless you’re up for a challenge.

Along the Passing Shore: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36% / 42% / 48% / 54% / 60%. When the wearer hits an enemy target, inflicts Mirage Fizzle on the enemy, lasting for 1 turn. Each time the wearer attacks, this effect can only trigger 1 time on each target. The wearer deals 24% / 28% / 32% / 36% / 40% increased DMG to targets afflicted with Mirage Fizzle, and the DMG dealt by Ultimate additionally increases by 24% / 28% / 32% / 36% / 40%.
For players that really want to play Silver Wolf as a DPS, Acheron’s LC is also an option. Gives DMG amp and 36% CRIT DMG, outperforming SW’s Signature other than the EHR it gives.

Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat: When the wearer hits an enemy and if the hit enemy is not already Ensnared, then there is a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% base chance to Ensnare the hit enemy. Ensnared enemies’ DEF decreases by 12% / 13% / 14% / 15% / 16% for 1 turn(s).
One of the best generic nihility supportive light cones. At S5 including SW’s ultimate and her bug she can give up to 69% DEF shred which is amazing. However this LC does not give Effect Hit Rate, making it hard to hit the EHR threshold for guaranteed implants.

Eyes of the Prey: Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 20.0% / 25.0% / 30.0% / 35.0% / 40.0% and increases DoT by 24.0% / 30.0% / 36.0% / 42.0% / 48.0%.
The DoT will be useless for SW and this LC is just a pure stat stick to help SW get to the 97% Effect Hit Rate requirement for her weakness implant.
F2P Options

Before the Tutorial Mission Starts: Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40%. When the wearer attacks DEF-reduced enemies, regenerates 4/5/6/7/8 Energy.
This is Silver Wolf’s signature, for most players. Tutorial gives 40% EHR, which is more than her Signature at 24% and the same as Eye of the Prey. However the Energy Regeneration it gives on defense shredded targets works perfectly on her since SW’s Ultimate drops defense by 45%, almost always resulting in a shorter Ult rotation. This Light Cone is a no-brainer for E0 owners, and is also available in the Herta Shop if you missed the event back in 1.1.
HSR Silver Wolf Main Stats
- Body: Effect Hit Rate% >> CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG / HP%
- Feet: Speed
- Orb: HP% > Quantum DMG%
- Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate or Break Effect
Silver Wolf requires a certain amount of Effect Hit Rate to land her abilities. Among them, the most important is her weakness implant of course. SW at E0 wants around 97% EHR and at E2 it goes down drastically to around 48% to guarantee implants against most enemies. 97% is quite high, which is why you want to give her an Effect Hit Rate body. At E2 you can opt for a CRIT body or HP if you want more damage/bulk.
Boots will always be Speed, as there is no reason for SW to be slow. For her Orb you can invest in bulk whether through HP% or DEF%, or a Quantum DMG% if you really want to squeak out some damage.
For Silver Wolf, you want an Energy Regeneration Rope if you’re under E1 or not using Tutorial. You can also use a Break Rope post E1 but you’ll have to break the enemy with SW to benefit from it.
DPS Silver Wolf?: I strongly recommend against it, especially at E0. Silver Wolf’s damage is underwhelming, so don’t bother unless you have her Signature and/or Eidolons (E2+).
HSR Silver Wolf Sub Stats & Speedtuning
- Effect Hit Rate (97%+)
- Speed
- Break Effect
- CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG
You should get at least 97% Effect Hit Rate to guarantee Silver Wolf’s implants. After that speed subs are the best since Silver Wolf is on a 3 turn rotation at E0 with Tutorial (1 Skill 2 Basics), so she can generate SP for the team. Aim for a speed of at least 134 but being faster never hurts. Silver Wolf in most cases cannot get her Ultimate on turn 1, so you want her 2nd turn to come asap.
Since Silver Wolf’s damage is poor as a support, Break Effect and crit stats should be prioritized last.
HSR Silver Wolf Relics

2pc Messenger/Sacerdos
- 2-Pc: Increase SPD by 6%.
Since Silver Wolf doesn’t have much going for her in terms of damage, the only other stat that can increase her usefulness is Speed. Thankfully it is much easier to hit high speeds since Messenger and Sacerdos 2Pcs give speed.

Eagle of Twilight
- 2 Pc: Increases Wind DMG by 10%.
- 4-Pc: When the wearer uses their Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25%.
Silver Wolf’s Ultimate rotation is not the fastest, but with other Action Advance mechanics like DDD and sufficient speed thresholds reached (160+), she can get more turns, thereby applying more debuffs for her team.

Thief of Shooting Meteor
- 2 Pc: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
- 4-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. After the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.
Thief has great synergy with Tutorial for Energy gains, but requires the condition that Silver Wolf needs to break the target.

Genius of Brilliant Stars
- 2 Pc: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
- 4-Pc: When the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.
Once of the best default relic sets, but not worth farming for in Version 3.x+. Helps increase Silver Wolf’s personal damage and she should always get 20% DEF as long as the enemy either has Quantum weakness or Silver Wolf adds it.
HSR Silver Wolf Planar Sets

Penacony: Land of the Dreams
- 2-Pc: Increases Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. Increases DMG by 10% for all other allies that are of the same Type as the wearer.
When Silver Wolf is paired with Quantum teammates, she can provide 10% increased DMG for her allies. The Energy Regen also pairs nicely with Tutorial.

Sprightly Vonwacq
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s action is Advanced Forward by 40% immediately upon entering battle.
When Silver Wolf is not with Quantum teammates, Vonwacq is another choice. Grants the same amount of Energy Regeneration Rate as Penacony, but the early Action Advance helps Silver Wolf get online quicker in her rotations.

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. If the wearer is not the first character in the team lineup, then increases the ATK of the first character in the team lineup by 12%.
One of the best supportive sets; gives Energy Regeneration Rate and 36% ATK when stacked with 2 other users.

Inert Salsotto
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8.0%. When the wearer’s current Crit Rate reaches 50.0% or higher, the DMG dealt by the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack increases by 15.0%.
If you ignored all the warnings of DPS Silver Wolf and still want to attempt it, Inert Salsotto is one of the options. Most of your damage will come from her Ultimate, which she gets online frequently with E1+.
HSR Silver Wolf Teammates
Silver Wolf doesn’t have an ideal team at the moment, and is mostly in limbo since there are just so many better options than using her, due to the saturation of Harmony and Nihility units.
Main DPS

Seele/Qingque: Seele and Qingque being Quantum units makes Silver Wolf’s life easier in reducing the RNG for her implants. Not to mention Silver Wolf can always implant Quantum for them, and enable in theory brute forcing against any matchup.

Acheron: Acheron wants debuffs to cast her Ultimate faster. Silver Wolf applies debuffs on every action, and gives a decent amp against Single Target encounters.

Dr. Ratio: Dr. Ratio’s followup chances increase based on the amount of debuffs the enemy has. Silver Wolf can apply enough debuffs to guarantee Dr. Ratio can chalk his opponents.
Harmony/Nihility

Pela: Pela in combination with Silver Wolf can max out the DEF shred, and DEF shred becomes stronger the more you have. DEF shred caps out at 100%, so make sure to watch out for that.

Jiaoqiu: Jiaoqiu and Silver Wolf share undiluted debuffs, with Silver Wolf reducing DEF and RES-Pen while Jiaoqiu is a Vulnerability monster. Together they provide good amp and numerous debuffs for those who need it.

Ruan Mei: Silver Wolf’s Skill and Ultimate have surprisingly good Toughness Damage. Ruan Mei’s Break Efficiency makes this even better, letting Silver Wolf quickly break enemies in modes where it’s useful like Apocalyptic Shadow.

Sparkle
Sparkle being a Quantum Harmony helps reduce the RNG by matching the weaknesses for Silver Wolf. In turn, Silver Wolf contributes as a Quantum character for one of Sparkle’s traces that increases ATK for each Quantum-Type ally.
Sustain

Huohuo: Huohuo’s Energy can help Silver Wolf’s Ultimate come online earlier and more often, especially in the first rotation where SW is missing just a bit of Energy to cast her Ultimate.

Fu Xuan/Lynx: Fu Xuan and Lynx are Quantum sustains, reducing SW’s RNG on implant. Both aren’t the best sustains in the game, but can still do the job when built properly.
HSR Silver Wolf Teams
Mono Quantum

The first completed(?) team comp that was able to brute force every encounter. Since every unit is Quantum, Silver Wolf will never fail her implant against the enemy. It’s not a particularly good team nowadays, but can be used to clear MoC and AS.
Acheron Double Nihility

Acheron wants 2 Nihility units at E0 to maximize her trace. Silver Wolf along with JQ provide strong and frequent debuffs, making it viable against light AoE and ST encounters.
Dr. Ratio Team

Dr. Ratio wants at least 3 debuffs to guarantee his follow-up. Silver Wolf has 7 in her kit, which is plenty. Aventurine also has a debuff from his Light Cone and Ultimate. Sunday is one of the best hyper carry harmonies in the game, giving Energy and 100% AV for Ratio. Since there are only 2 shared weaknesses in this team, Silver Wolf’s implant is also susceptible to less RNG.
HSR Silver Wolf Pull Value and Conclusion
Silver Wolf is an unfortunate unit. Her unique identity of having a weakness implant has lost all its value as of 3.0. Break DPS like Boothill and Firefly flat out come with their own weakness implant, or some DPS like Fexiao and Acheron straight up ignore weakness. Fugue can provide universal toughness reduction from her Skill and Ultimate, while Silver Wolf is shackled by RNG implants.
The bad news doesn’t end there. Most teams in HSR are run with a DPS, sustain, and two supports/sub DPS. Silver Wolf is facing immense competition, and has lost her place as the best in any team. Break teams prefer Ruan Mei and Fugue, follow-up teams just need Robin, and hypercarries default to Sunday and Robin/RMC. Acheron’s team, which was Silver Wolf’s light of hope, was taken by Jiaoqiu and Pela, a 4 star Nihility that was released in 1.0.
Silver Wolf may have good amp in a vacuum, but her inability to not be able to Ult turn 1 and single target restriction is why she is outclassed by Pela, who despite having lower amp, has incredible uptime on her Ultimate, and AoE DEF shred in a meta where 3-5 enemies are the norm in all endgame modes.
Suffice to say, Silver Wolf has incredibly low pull value and should only be pulled if you really like her, but from a meta perspective, is outclassed by way too many units.
