Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae: Guide, Skills, Builds, Teams & More
Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae (or DHPT for short) is the first Physical Preservation released in Honkai Star Rail. An alternate version of Dan Heng, this unit functions similarly to previous Preservation units like Aventurine and Gepard, by providing a massive Shield to the entire team.
However, Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae also has his own unique mechanic to give a designated ally their own Summon and scale off Attack.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Release Date
Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae’s banner will be in the second half of Version 3.6, releasing on October 15th, 2025, and will run until November 5th, 2025. Furthermore, any players logging in after October 15th will be able to claim a free copy of Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae, with this event expiring before version 4.0 ends.
Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae HSR Kit Overview (Trace Level 10)
Bondmate & Souldragon
The selling point of Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae is his Bondmate mechanics. Upon using his skill, DHPT will designate a teammate as his Bondmate and grant a Shield to all allies for 3 turns. The value of this Shield is equal to 20% of his Attack plus 400, and Shield value can stack with each Skill usage, but does not exceed 300% of the current Shield value.
When there is a unit designated as Bondmate on the field, DHPT will summon Souldragon, which is counted as a Summon of the Bondmate. The Souldragon has a base Speed of 165, and when it acts, it will dispel one debuff from all allies and provide them with a Shield equal to 10% of DHPT’s Attack plus 200 Attack (basically half of the value one would get from its Skill), and this can stack with other Shield values provided by DHPT.
Being a Bondmate brings several perks. Once DHPT uses his Ultimate – A Dragon’s Zenith Knows No Rue, he will attack all enemies, provide Shield to all allies with a value equal to his Skills and can stack, and enhance the Souldragon for 2 actions.
Once enhanced, when it is its turn, the Souldragon will also launch a Physical follow-up attack on all enemies, dealing an instance of damage equal to 80% of DHPT Attack and then another Additional Damage instance equal to 80% of the Bondmate’s Attack, which can be quite substantial when paired with a strong Attack-scaling hypercarry.
DHPT’s first major trace – Empyreanity will increase the Bondmate’s Attack by 15% of DHPT’s own Attack, a pretty notable increase as DHPT’s Attack can reach over 4,000 with a standard build. His second major trace – Sylvanity grants him a one-time Action Advance at the start of the battle, similarly to the effect of the Sprightly Vonwaq planar set. Additionally, this trace regenerates 6 Energy for DHPT and action advances the Souldragon by 15% whenever the Bondmate uses an attack, which gives DHPT incredible synergy with teammates that attack often. Last but not least, DHPT’s third major trace – Sublimity will provide an additional Shield value to the target with the lowest amount of Shield when Souldragon takes action.
Furthermore, when the Souldragon is enhanced and takes action, it will deal another instance of Additional Damage of the Bondmate’s Elemental Type to the enemy with the highest current HP, equal to 40% of the Bondmate’s Attack.
DHPT’s Technique, when used, will inflict Daze on all enemies within a certain area and grant Bondmate to the Party. The Bondmate effect will transfer to the current active characters when switching characters, and when entering combat with this effect, DHPT will immediately use his Skill on the character that enters the battle without consuming a Skill Point.
Overall Gameplay Evaluation
At his core, before taking in the benefitting effect of his summon, Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae is a great sustain character. When built properly, DHPT has no trouble sustaining the entire party, even in the currently toughest content, which is the Anomaly Arbitration gamemode. This is due to his massive and practically permanent Shield effect that he provides, and the regular teamwide cleanse.
Unlike other Shielders, DHPT is unique in the sense that he does not have the problem of Shield running out when paired with fast-acting characters, as high attack frequency from the Bondmates will advance the Souldragon often and refresh his Shield. DHPT can sustain any team with very minimal SP investment, as normally he will only have to put up his Skill once and let the Souldragon continuously recover his Shield, which massively helps any team that is SP hungry.
Beyond sustaining, DHPT has a pretty good offensive contribution. The enhanced Souldragon attacks do respectable damage as they will scale off the Bondmate’s stats, and DHPT also provides a rather notable Attack buff to the Bondmate, further improving his synergy with Attack-scaling hypercarries.
Furthermore, since Souldragon is considered the Bondmate’s summon, this can help trigger summon-related effects such as Sunday’s Action Advance & extra Damage buff, and the Banananan Amusement Park Planar set effects. This further improves his value in any team that would make use of Sundays, such as Aglaea’s team or Jing Yuan’s team.
All in all, DHPT is a fantastic character, given how the game has been demanding more sustaining power in most endgame modes. His ease of use lets him fit into many archetypes and contribute, especially given that he is free for most players.

Eidolon Priority
Even though DHPT will be given out for free to most players, he is perfectly fine at base E0S0. Generally, Sustain’s Eidolons are not as potent as Harmony or Damage Dealer Eidolons, so players should only invest in his Eidolon if they already have their other priorities sorted out.
Eidolon 1 is quite strong for a sustain unit as it provides more Skill Points to the team and also gives the team’s hypercarry a very rare but powerful All-Type Res Pen buff, so it can be tempting to pick it up for players looking for extra mileage out of him. His E2 vastly improve Souldragon’s damage output as it essentially double the amount of enhanced attacks Souldragon can do and also increases its Damage and action frequency, so while it is a bit more selfish, this is still a strong Eidolon.
His E4 is quite irrelevant as it is only a damage reduction for Bondmate, and since DHPT’s shielding capacity is more than enough, it practically does nothing. His E6 is a Vulnerability debuff to all enemies while the Bondmate is on the field. This also lets the Bondmate ignore a portion of the enemies’ Defense when attacking and further increases Souldragon’s damage scaling off the Bondmate’s stats. All in all, a strong offensive
and expensive Eidolon for a sustain.

Premium Options

Though Worlds Apart: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 64% / 80% / 96% / 112% / 128%. When the wearer uses Ultimate, restores HP equal to 10% / 12.5% / 15% / 17.5% / 20% of the wearer’s ATK for all allies, and additionally restores HP equal to 10% / 12.5% / 15% / 17.5% / 20% of the wearer’s ATK for the character with the lowest current HP, and grants “Redoubt” to all allies for 3 turn(s). Targets with “Redoubt” deal 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48% increased DMG, which further increases by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% if the targets have summons.
This Light Cone provides very high Attack and base Attack increase for DHPT, which improves his shielding and damage buffing capacity at the same time. The extra heal when he uses an Ultimate is not that useful, while the damage increase, while nice, can be oversaturated when supporting a hypercarry with a lot of Damage% source. All in all, his E1 is a better investment as it vastly improves his operation and buffing compared to his Signature Light Cone.

Any high Attack-base Light Cone: DHPT’s Light Cone situation is a bit unique. Most Preservation Light Cones are either Def-scaling and/or have poor base Attack stats, and also provide very niche effects. As such, outside of DHPT’s Signature Light Cone, players can make do with any Light Cone with high base Attack stats, such as Phainon’s Signature Light Cone, which has the highest base Attack out of all Light Cones. Other options include any 632 base Attack Light Cone, such as Feixiao, DHIL Hysilens, etc, Signature Light Cones.

Journey, Forever Peaceful: Increases the wearer’s provided Shield Effect by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. When an ally target has a Shield, the DMG dealt increases by 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% / 20%.
While this Light Cone provides lower Attack than all 5-star options, it does have two good effects that DHPT can make use of.
F2P Options

High Base Attack Light Cone: Light Cones with 583 base Attack will do the job fine. Amongst 4 Star Light Cones, any Light Cones with a base 529 Attack will be decent substitutes.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Main Stats
- Body: Attack%
- Feet: Speed >> Attack%
- Orb: Attack%
- Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate
Attack and Speed are the two biggest chase stats for DHPT. As he does not have any innate Crit buff and his damage mostly scales off the Bondmate, he does not need to build any Crit% main stats. His shielding also scales off Attack, so he does not need to go for Def% or HP% like other Preservation units.
Thus, for his Body piece and Orb, he should go for Attack% main stats. Speed boot is ideal as DHPT wants to move often to generate Skill Points for the team. For Rope, Energy Regeneration Rate is standard for support units, helping DHPT enhance his Souldragon more often.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Sub Stats
- Attack%
- Speed
- Eff Res
Attack% and Speed subs are what one should look for when building DHPT, especially Attack%, as he will transfer a portion of his Attack% to the Bondmate. Effect Res is a good tertiary substat since he does not benefit much from other stats, and Effect Res can help him stave off some nasty crowd-control debuffs.
Main Stats Goal & Speedtuning:
- Attack: 4000 Attack and above
- Speed: Over 134 Speed for Memory of Chaos breakpoint.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Relics
Option A

Self-Enshrouded Recluse:
- 2-Pc: The provided Shield Effect increases by 10%.
- 4-Pc: Increases the Shield Effect provided by the wearer by 12%. When an ally target holds a Shield provided by the wearer, the ally target’s CRIT DMG increases by 15%.
This set is essentially made for DHPT as it increases both his shielding and his damage buffing.
Option B

2+2 Pieces:
While there are other options he can run, such as the Sacerdos set (would require him to use his Skill often to maintain the buff), simply running a combination of any 2 sets that give Attack% bonus is more than good enough to improve both his shield value and Attack buff.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Planar Sets

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas:
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. If the wearer is not the first character in the team lineup, then it increases the Attack of the first character in the team lineup by 12%.
On top of 5% extra Energy Regeneration, this set further improves Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae’s synergy with Attack-scaling hypercarry.

Space Sealing Station:
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s ATK increases by an extra 12%.
A pure statstick option, as this set gives Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae a massive 24% Attack boost.

Penacony, Land of the Dreams:
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. Increases DMG by 10% for all other allies that are of the same Type as the wearer.
This set would be the best option for DHPT when supporting Phainon, as they share elements.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Teammates
We’ll be listing some of his best teammates, but DHPT can work with most Attack-scaling hypercarry Damage Dealers. He is very easy to fit into most team comps since he is SP positive, and it is extremely easy to maintain the shield uptime. In general, DHPT will prefer Damage Dealers that can attack often to advance his Souldragon, as well as any Damage Dealers that can make good use of Sunday – his best amplifier partner.
Main DPS

Phainon: As Souldragon is considered the Bondmate’s summon, Phainon can actually take it with him when he transforms. The massive amount of Attack that DHPT grants, as well as his high SP positivity, and the ability to grant Phainon Coreflame stacks via both his and Souldragon’s actions, make him the best support available for Phainon, especially in fights where Phainon cannot clear within 1-2 Ultimates.

Anaxa: Anaxa is one of the best Attack-scaling hypercarry Damage Dealers at the moment, with no Attack buff in his kits and consumes a massive amount of SP. This makes DHPT the ideal partner-in-crime for this frail professor.

Aglaea / Jing Yuan: Both Aglaea and Jing Yuan are the biggest users of Sunday, and thus also benefit massively from DHPT as a sustain since Sunday’s Action Advance can drag all the summons up and not just one. This means these carries can double dip on it with Lightning Lord / Garmentmaker moving alongside Souldragon.

Feixiao / Archer: Both are Attack-scaling hypercarries with high SP usage and attack frequency. Additionally, Feixiao and Archer also have mechanics that benefit from teammates attacking frequently. Their fragility as Hunt units also means they require strong protection from their sustain, of which DHPT is more than enough to help.

Hysilens: DHPT provides a lot of Attack buff, which pairs well with the DoT team. Hysilen is the best target as Bondmate for this team since she provides the primary damage source of the team.
Amplifiers:

Sunday: DHPT and Sunday have a special synergy. As Souldragon becomes the Bondmate’s summon, Sunday can advance both the Bondmate and Souldragon with his Action Advance.
Furthermore, instead of a normal 30% Damage boost to one teammate with no summon, Sunday’s buff will become 80% instead when Souldragon is present, a massive increase in some teams’ damage output.
HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Teams
Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae is primarily used as a sustain for Attack-scaling hypercarry teams. Thanks to his ease of use, he can be played with numerous hypercarries, so we will only list some notable teams that he can support.

HSR Dan Heng – Permansor Terrae Pull Value and Conclusion
Since DHPT is given out for free for a long period of time, players should most definitely claim and then raise him, as he offers exceptional protection to tackle high difficulty endgame contents such as Anomaly Arbitration. Furthermore, DHPT is very easy to play and fits a wide array of team comps, meaning most players will get a lot of mileage out of him, even at the E0S0 level.
In terms of investment, if players really want to further invest into DHPT, then prioritize his early Eidolons over his Signature Light Cone, as his first two Eidolons offer more bang for the buck compared to his Light Cone. Nonetheless, sustain’s vertical investment should be considered low priority compared to Amplifiers and Damage Dealers’ vertical investments.
