Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae Character Guide

Cons

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae will perform well at E0 but here is a quick assessment of his Eidolons:
- E1 – medium impact
- E2 – high impact
- E3 – low impact
- E4 – medium impact
- E5 – medium impact

Relics
Stat Priority
While Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae scales off ATK and Crit and doesn’t have any extra incentives for other stats. He gets quite a bit of Crit DMG naturally form his kit, so generally he slightly prefers Crit Rate over Crit DMG although, both are still good. Lastly, Speed is of lower value on him than other characters.
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae ’s general stat priority is:
- Crit Rate
- Crit DMG
- ATK %
- Break Effect = Flat ATK = SPD
Relic Main Stats
- Body: Crit Rate -> Crit DMG -> ATK%
- Feet: ATK %
- Planar Sphere: Imaginary Damage% -> ATK%
- Link Rope: ATK %
Cavern of Corrosion Sets
Set bonuses should ultimately just be thought of as additional substats, and the weight of 4-Pc sets is very low. Mixing and matching two different 2-Pc bonuses can often be more optimal than completing a 4-Pc set bonus if it allows you to use substantially better relics. It is recommended to use gear optimizers to assess which Relic pieces to use.
Relic Set Set Bonus & Reasoning
Wastelander & Musketeer – 2Pc/2Pc
2-Pc: ATK Increases by 12% 2-Pc: Increases Imaginary DMG by 10%
This is the most universal set and gives good damage bonuses for Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae. However other 4PC Wastelander of Banditry can be more optimal if Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is in a party with a debuffer.
Wastelander of Banditry Desert – 4Pc
2-Pc: Increases Imaginary DMG by 10% 4-Pc: When attacking debuffed enemies, the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 10%.
If the enemy is Imprisoned, then the wearer’s CRIT DMG increases by 20%. Eagle of Twilight Line has a nice 2Pc bonus for mix and matching with other sets and also has a relevant 4Pc bonus. It is less optimal than Longevous, but as usual better substats can easily make up the difference between set bonuses.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat – 4Pc
2-Pc: ATK Increases by 12% 4-Pc: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
SPD is never bad and the extra ATK% is a good way to scale Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s damage. This set bonus isn’t as optimal as other combinations mentioned above but many players may already have this set farmed and superior substats may still make it worth using Musketeers.
Planar Ornament Sets
Relic Set Set Bonus & Reasoning
Inert Salsotto
2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer’s Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%.
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae scales very well with crit making Inert Salsotto a very strong choice for him. This is recommended for most players, unless you can hit 70% Crit Rate for Rutilant Arena.
Rutilant Arena
2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, the wearer’s Basic ATK and Skill DMG increase by 20%.
Rutilant Arena is Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s best planar ornament set if you can reach 70% Crit Rate for him, and synergizes nicely due to him prioritizing Crit Rate on relics. However, players may want to consider if it is worth it for them to farm this set, as the DPS increase compared to Salsotto is marginal.
Light Cones
1. Brighter than the Sun
Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 18%. When the wearer uses their Basic ATK, they will gain 1 stack of Dragon’s Call, lasting for 2 turns. Each Stack of Dragon’s Call increases the wearer’s ATK by 18% and Energy Regeneration Rate by 6.0%. Dragon’s Call may be stacked up to 2 times.
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae‘s signature weapon is his best in slot as it gives him highly valuable Crit Rate and ATK% in addition to Energy Regeneration Rate which helps him Ultimate more frequently for improved Skill Point management.
2. On the Fall of an Aeon
Whenever the wearer attacks, their ATK is increased by 8% in this battle, up to 4 time(s). When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, the wearer’s DMG increases by 12% for 2 turn(s).
This Light Cone is an excellent free to play option as it can be purchased from Herta’s Store and grants good universal damage stats that Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae can make good use of.
3. Under the Blue Sky
Increases the wearer’s ATK by 16%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 12% for 3 turn(s).
Under the Blue Sky is a good 4* option as ATK % and CRIT Rate are both desirable stats for Dan Heng and even in endgame content like Memory of Chaos, there are often weaker enemies available to trigger the passive on.
Teams
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is Skill Point hungry and generally wants teammates who do not require too many Skill Points to function optimally. This often means pairing him with one defensive support and multiple offensive supports.
Teams are flexible and while these suggestions are good starting points, feel free to customize your team to the encounter and to play the characters you enjoy.
Sample Team Comps
This team comp is very universal as both Yukong and Tingyun will buff Dan’s damage and provide good Skill Point economy for the team.
Yukong and Silver Wolf are both SP positive supports who can improve Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s damage. The Luocha, Yukong and Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae sharing a damage type means that so long as the enemy is weak it imaginary or quantum damage, the entire team will hit weaknesses.
This is a good free to play friendly team comp that can help buff Dan Heng while maintaining good Skill Point economy. Asta can also be used in place of Yukong if players have her more heavily invested or available to their account.
Teammates
Offensive Supports
Tingyun – High Synergy
Tingyun is one of the best supports for Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae because she is Skill Point positive, buffs damage and provides Energy for Dan Heng with her ultimate which further helps improve Skill Point economy.
Silver Wolf – High Synergy
Silver Wolf is an excellent offensive support who’s entire hit helps improve Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s damage all while being Skill Point positive. Additionally, she provides debuffs if players are using the 4Pc Wastelander of Banditry relic set.
Silver Wolf will excel in teams where all but one element targets an enemy weakness type. However, she is strong regardless.
Yukong – High Synergy
Yukong’s entire kit is beneficial to Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae however ideally her speed is 1 faster than Dan Heng in order to sync her skill and ultimate with him. E6 Yukong is significantly easier to use as she no longer needs to match to get good value. The powerful but short duration nature of Yukong’s buffs pair very nicely with Dan’s bursty damage.
Asta – Medium Synergy
Asta provides ATK % and Speed for the party making her a solid choice. However, she does usually want to use Skill Points to maintain stacks of her ATK buff and her Speed buff is not especially ideal for Dan Heng but does still improve the Skill Point economy of the rest of the team.
Pela – Medium Synergy
Pela is another solid choice for Dan Heng as she can shred enemy defense and be played Skill Point positive, and provide debuffs for4 Pc Wastelander of Banditry relic set bonus.
Bronya – Low Synergy
While Bronya is a premiere support and can still improve Dan’s ability to deal damage, she is less ideal than other supports. This is primarily because a large amount of her utility is tied to her making characters act faster which pairs poorly with Dan’s Skill Point hungry nature.
Defensive Supports
Lucoha – High Synergy
Luocha is a very powerful healer and works nicely with any team, Dan being no exception. Luocha can usually sustain the party with minimal Skill Point usage.
Bailu – High Synergy
Bailu is another extremely powerful 5* healer, and her high raw healing output means she can often sustain the party with minimal to no Skill Point usage, making her an excellent choice as a defensive support.
Gepard – High Synergy
Gepard is another premium defensive support who can sustain the party single handedly without utilizing Skill Points making him an excellent choice to pair with Dan Heng.
Natasha – Medium/High Synergy
Natasha’s sustain is weaker than the 5* options but still entirely serviceable, she just may need to use slightly more Skill Points to keep the party healthy.
March 7th – Low Synergy
While March 7th is capable of solo sustaining a party, doing so is quite Skill Point intensive making her a weak choice to pair with Dan.
