Aglaea is our first Remembrance DPS and she is a phenomenal one at that. Packing one of the highest Damage per Action Value and coming right out of the gate with a completed premium team. Aglaea is amongst the strongest DPS in Memory of Chaos released thus far, and certainly amongst the best hyper carries the game has to offer up until now, but she can be tricky to use in the other two endgame modes – Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow.

HSR The Aglaea Release Date
Aglaea’s banner will be in the second half of Version 3.0 releasing on February 4th, 2025 and will run until February 25th, 2025.
Aglaea HSR Kit Review (Trace Level 10)
Aglaea’s Memosprite – Garmentmaker
As a Remembrance unit, Aglaea has her own memosprite / summon called the Garmentmaker. Garmentmaker has an initial Speed equal to 35% of Aglaea’s Speed and a Max HP equal to 66% of Aglaea’s Max HP plus 720 at maxed level.
After being summoned, Garmentmaker will get 100% Action Advance from one of its traces to immediately attack. Like other memosprites, it will appear on the action bar like a separate unit and will automatically use its skill – Thorned Snare, a Blast-type attack, on its turn.
This attack will prioritize the enemy with the “Seamed Stitch” debuff – a unique debuff that Aglaea and Garmentmaker inflict with their attack. Every attack against an enemy with “Seamed Stitch” will give Garmentmaker a permanent 55 Speed buff that can stack up to 6 times, essentially giving Garmentmaker a 330 Speed boost after a few turns.
If Garmentmaker disappears, it will refund 20 Energy to Aglaea. Unlike the other Remembrance unit released in 3.0 – Remembrance Trailblazer – Aglaea’s Memosprite does not have any additional ability and mostly plays a supportive role to Aglaea herself.
Ultimate & Supreme Stance
Aglaea’s Kit is centralized around a Special State that she unlocks via her Ultimate called “Supreme Stance”. This is an extremely costly Ultimate, taking 350 Energy to activate, the highest in the game on release. Upon entering the Supreme Stance, Aglaea will summon Garmentmaker and immediately take action.
If Garmentmaker is already on the field, she will 100% heal it instead. Supreme Stance will have its timer on the action bar, set at 100 Speed. During this duration, Aglaea’s basic attack will be transformed into an enhanced Blast attack “Slash by a Thousandfold Kiss” where she and Garmentmaker will launch a joint attack. This attack does not recover Skill Points. Aglaea will not be able to use her skill during the duration of Supreme Stance, and Garmentmaker will be immune to Crowd Control debuff during the stance as well.
Notes
It is very worth noting that Slash by a Thousandfold Kiss is considered as both Aglaea’s and Garmentmaker’s attack, meaning it will trigger on-hit effects twice, such as Robin’s Ultimate additional damage proc or Tingyun’s Benediction effect, and of course inflicting two “Seam Stitch” stacks per attack. This is a new mechanic that currently only Aglaea possesses, and there is a lot of potential synergy that can be explored in the future.
While in Supreme Stance, Aglaea will gain a 15% Speed boost times the amount of Speed stack that Garmentmaker gets from its trace, which is capped at 90% for 6 stacks. Aglaea can also refresh the duration of Supreme Stance by using her Ultimate during its duration. Once Supreme Stance ends, Garmentmaker will disappear and must be summoned again. Last but not least, if Garmentmaker takes fatal damage during Supreme Stance duration, it will end prematurely.
Skills / Traces / Technique
Aglaea’s Skills, Traces, and Technique are focused on getting her into Supreme Stance and doing as much damage during its duration as possible:
- Her Skill heals Garmentmaker if it is already on the field by 50% and Re-summon it if it is not on the field.
- Her talent makes Aglaea deal an extra 30% Lightning Additional Damage to the enemies with the “Seam Stitch” state.
- Her second trace retains 1 stack of Speed boost for Garmentmaker when it disappears and automatically applies it when it is resummoned.
- Her third trace increases her Attack by 720% of her Speed plus 360% of Garmentmaker’s Speed. At max stack, the average Aglaea can easily get 3,000+ Attack from this trace which is an absurd amount of free stats in combat.
- Her technique generates 30 Energy upon entering the battle, inflicts “Seam Stitch” to a random enemy, and deals Lightning damage to all enemies.
- Last but not least, her first trace ensures she always starts the battle with a minimum of 50% of her Ultimate gauge, which is practically irrelevant in the 3 main endgame modes since every unit starts with 50% charge regardless, but it is useful for Overworld, Story, and Divergent Universe content.
Overall Thoughts
Aglaea’s damage output is top tier. Thanks to her bonker Speed from her trace and the fact that Garmentmaker can attack on its own, she has exceptional attack frequency even when compared to units like Feixiao or Firefly. And to top it off, Aglaea still has great multiplier value on her joint attack during Supreme Stance, and a massive Attack self-buff from her Speed conversion. Aglaea is also very Skill Point friendly for a hyper carry, as even though her Enhanced Basic Attack does not generate a Skill Point, it does not consume any either.
In Memory of Chaos, it is clear that Aglaea will be amongst the top dogs. But in the other two modes, while Aglaea can still do decently, she won’t be amazing in either.
This is because the game has moved into a more mechanic-centric design philosophy for endgame content, rather than pure numbers. Pure Fiction favors full AoE units instead of Blast, but since Aglaea has an amazing action economy, she can still pick off enemies faster than most Blast and Single Target units.
In Apocalyptic Shadow, Aglaea will likely do well against bosses that require attacking a specific number of times or killing specific enemies, but since she has no innate Break-related mechanics, she will mostly be relegated to Lightning-weak content.
HSR Aglaea Talents
Aglaea HSR Core Skills
Basic Attack – Thorned Nectar
Deals Lightning Damage equal to 100% of Aglaea’s ATK to one designated enemy.
Enhanced Basic Attack – Slash by a Thousandfold Kiss
Aglaea and Garmentmaker launch a Joint ATK on the target, respectively dealing Lightning DMG equal to 200% of Aglaea’s ATK and 200% of Garmentmaker’s ATK to the target. Also, deal Lightning DMG equal to 90% of Aglaea’s ATK and 90% of Garmentmaker’s ATK to adjacent targets.
“Slash by a Thousandfold Kiss” cannot recover Skill Points.
Skill – Rise, Exalted Renown
Restores HP to Garmentmaker by 50% of its Max HP. If Garmentmaker is absent, summons the memosprite Garmentmaker and this unit immediately takes action.
Ultimate – Dance, Destined Weaveress
Summons the memosprite Garmentmaker. If Garmentmaker is already on the field, then restores its HP to max. Aglaea enters the “Supreme Stance” state and immediately takes action.
While in the “Supreme Stance” state, Aglaea gains the SPD Boost stacks from Garmentmaker’s Memosprite Talent, with each stack increasing her SPD by 15%. Enhances Basic ATK to “Slash by a Thousandfold Kiss,” and cannot use Skill. Garmentmaker is immune to Crowd Control debuffs.
A countdown appears on the Action Order, with its own SPD set at 100. Using Ultimate again when the countdown is on the Action Order will reset the countdown. When the countdown’s turn starts, Garmentmaker self-destructs. When Garmentmaker disappears, Aglaea’s “Supreme Stance” state is dispelled.
Talent – Rosy-Fingered
The memosprite Garmentmaker has an initial SPD equal to 35% of Aglaea’s SPD and a Max HP equal to 66% of Aglaea’s Max HP plus 720. While Garmentmaker is on the field, Aglaea’s attacks inflict the target with the “Seam Stitch” state. After attacking enemies in the “Seam Stitch” state, further deals Lightning Additional DMG equal to 30% of Aglaea’s ATK. “Seam Stitch” only takes effect on the most recently inflicted target.
Technique – Meteoric Sunder
Summons the memosprite Garmentmaker and launches a forward joint attack. After entering battle, regenerates 30 Energy and deals Lightning DMG equal to 100% of Aglaea’s ATK to all enemy targets. Then, randomly inflicts the “Seam Stitch” state to a random enemy target.
Aglaea HSR Ascension Traces
The Myopic’s Doom
While in “Supreme Stance,” increases Aglaea and Garmentmaker’s ATK by an amount equal to 720% of Aglaea’s SPD plus 360% of Garmentmaker’s SPD.
Last Thread of Fate
When Garmentmaker disappears, up to 1 stack(s) of the SPD Boost from the Memosprite Talent can be retained. When Garmentmaker is summoned again, gains the corresponding number of SPD Boost stacks.
Magnets and Long Chains
At the start of battle, if this unit’s Energy is lower than 50%, regenerates this unit’s Energy until 50%.
HSR Aglaea’s Memosprite – Garmentmaker Core Skills
Skills – Thorned Snare
Deals Lightning DMG equal to 110% ATK to one enemy and Lightning DMG equal to 66% ATK to adjacent targets.
Talent – A Body Brewed by Tears
After attacking an enemy afflicted with “Seam Stitch,” increases this unit’s SPD by 55, stacking up to 6 time(s). During Garmentmaker’s turn, automatically uses “Thorned Snare,” prioritizing enemies under the “Seam Stitch” state.
Talent – The Speeding Summer
When Garmentmaker is summoned, this unit’s action advances by 100%.
Aglaea HSR Eidolons
E1 | Drift at the Whim of Venus: Enemies afflicted with “Seam Stitch” take 15% increased DMG. After Aglaea or Garmentmaker attacks this target, Aglaea additionally regenerates 20 Energy. |
E2 | Sail on the Raft of Eyelids: When Aglaea or Garmentmaker takes action, the DMG dealt by Aglaea and Garmentmaker ignores 14% of the target’s DEF. This effect stacks up to 3 time(s) and lasts until any unit, other than Aglaea or Garmentmaker, actively uses an ability. |
E3 | Bequeath in the Coalescence of Dew: Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10. Memosprite Talent Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10. |
E4 | Flicker Below the Surface of Marble: The SPD Boost effect from the Memosprite Talent has its max stack limit increased by 1. After Aglaea uses an attack, Garmentmaker can also gain the SPD Boost effect from the Memosprite Talent. |
E5 | Weave Under the Shroud of Woe: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Memosprite Skill Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10. |
E6 | Fluctuate in the Tapestry of Fates: While Aglaea is in “Supreme Stance,” increases her and Garmentmaker’s Lightning RES PEN by 20%. When Aglaea or Garmentmaker’s SPD is greater than 160/240/320, the DMG dealt by Joint ATK increases by 10%/30%/60%. |
Eidolon Priority
Aglaea has very good early Eidolons for vertical investing players. Her E1 is both a damage increase and a massive improvement in her energy generation, granting her 20 Energy per her or Garmentmaker attack. It will trigger twice when Aglaea does joint attack during Supreme Stance as well, giving her an enormous amount of Energy back when attacking. Aglaea generally struggles to fill her Ultimate gauge without premium units like Sunday or Huohuo, so players without both of these units can pull this Eidolon instead to solve this problem.
Her E2 is a classic Def Shred Eidolon with a good 42% cap, relatively high compared to most Def Shred Eidolon. Nevertheless, it is a good DPS improvement for Aglaea, but nowhere near a game-changer for her. Her E4 helps both her and Garmentmaker increase their Speed cap from 6 to 7, which may or may not be influential depending on the threshold that she can reach with relics. It also helps Garmentmaker stack this faster since Aglaea’s attack will also increase it. Her E6 is, similar to most modern DPS’s E6, a huge raw DPS boost for Aglaea.

Premium Options
Time Woven Into Gold
Increases the wearer’s base SPD by 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20. After the wearer and the wearer’s memosprite attacks, the wearer gains 1 stack of “Brocade.” Each stack of “Brocade” increases the wearer and their memosprite’s CRIT DMG by 9% / 10.5% / 12% / 13.5% / 15% , stacking up to 6 time(s). When reaching maximum stacks, each “Brocade” stack will additionally increase Basic ATK DMG dealt by 9% / 10.5% / 12% / 13.5% / 15%.
As Remembrance is a new path, they currently lack good options for Light Cone. It is highly recommended that any Aglaea owner pick this up, as it is significantly ahead of any other options not just in terms of damage boost but also because this Light Cone boosts her base Speed which makes her significantly easier to Speed tuning as well.
Sweat Now, Cry Less
Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% / 20% . When the wearer’s memosprite is on the field, increases the wearer and their memosprite’s DMG dealt by 24% / 27% / 30% / 33% / 36%.
In terms of damage output, this Light Cone is the second best option but since it only came out in 3.0, even Battle Pass owners would need 5 consecutive patches of Battle Pass to max superimposition this.
Geniuses’ Greetings
Increases the wearer’s ATK by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% . After the wearer uses their Ultimate, additionally increases the wearer and their memosprite’s Basic ATK DMG dealt by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% for 3 turn(s).
Another gacha option but similar to other Remembrance Light Cones, it only comes out in 3.0 so it will be RNG dependent to get it at high superimposition.
F2P Options
Reminiscence
When memosprite’s turn starts, the wearer and the memosprite each gain 1 stack of “Commemoration.” Each stack increases DMG dealt by 8% / 9% / 10% / 11% / 12% , stacking up to 4 time(s). “Commemoration” is removed from the wearer and the memosprite when the memosprite disappears.
A very F2P option for new players until they can get a stronger alternative.
HSR Aglaea Main Stats
- Body: Crit Rate > Crit Damage
- Feet: Speed > Attack
- Orb: Lightning Damage % > Attack%
- Rope: Energy Regeneration%
Aglaea is a Crit-based DPS, hence for Body pieces, she will want Crit stats as the main stat.
There are two ways to go with boots with Aglaea and both can be viable. As Aglaea is often used with Sunday, she can go for a setup where she is faster than Sunday at the start of the battle to take advantage of his Action Advance. This is achieved with Speed boots. The other way is to build Attack boots on Aglaea with a high-Speed Sunday to drag her up at the start of the battle.
Generally, the Speed boot build will require more Speed sub on Aglaea to reach a desirable breakpoint while still maintaining a good Crit ratio but has a higher ceiling for fast clear, while the first build will only require good Speed on Sunday so it is a lot easier to build. It is also worth noting Aglaea already has a lot of Attack% from her trace conversion, so Speed build should be the long-term aim.
For Orb, as Aglaea is Attack scaling, she prefers offensive main stats like Lightning Damage % and Attack%.
Energy Regeneration Rope
Her rope option is interesting as Aglaea might be the first DPS that really favors Energy Regeneration Rope% over Attack%. The reason for this is that she gets an enormous amount of Attack from her trace, meaning further Attack% increase is not as influential as other DPS, and the other reason is that she has absurdly high energy requirement to maintain her Supreme Stance, especially for players without E1, Sunday or Huohuo, or any combination of the three. Even with them, it is worth going for ERR% thanks to the high uptime in Supreme Stance it can provide.
HSR Aglaea Substats & Speed Tuning
- Speed
- Crit Rate
- Crit Damage
- Attack%
Aglaea’s best team will have Sunday since he can advance both her and Garmentmaker while also giving a large Energy buff. Generally, Aglaea wants to have double Sunday’s Speed in combat so that even after she moves twice as much as him he will still give her two extra turns with no Action Value wasted. Since Aglaea’s signature Light Cone gives increased Base Speed, and with an assumingly 134 Speed Sunday and no other source of Speed increase, Aglaea will want 165-166 Speed on her statscreen. This is because the goal is 270 Speed, which after subtracting the Speed she gets from 6 stacks of her traces (90% * (103 Base Speed + 12 Speed from Superimposition 1 Light Cone) is around 165 – 166.
Without her Signature Light Cone, it is a lot more daunting and requires her out of combat Speed to be at 177. Other teams with Aglaea Speed Tuning will depend on which supporting units she is bringing, but the general ballpark for Aglaea with her signature Light Cone will be around 161 – 168, and within the 173+ without Signature Light Cone.
If one wants to run Aglaea with an Attack boot, she will not need Speed sub but to compensate, Sunday will need high speed, ideally 160+ Speed so he can still reasonably keep up with her once she reaches 6 stacks.
Beyond Speed, Aglaea generally wants the same substats that most Crit DPS will want, which are Crit Rate, Crit Damage and Attack%.
HSR Aglaea Relics
Hero of Triumphant Song
- 2-Pc: Increases ATK by 12%.
- 4-Pc: While the wearer’s memosprite is on the field, increases the wearer’s SPD by 6%. When the wearer’s memosprite attacks, increases the wearer and memosprite’s CRIT Damage by 30% for 2 turn(s).
This set is tailor-made for Aglaea and gives everything she wants, from Attack, Speed, and Crit Damage.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-Pc: Increases ATK by 12%.
- 4-Pc: The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and DMG dealt by Basic ATK increases by 10%.
Musketeer is very easy to farm and available from many Echoes of War as well, with many veteran players most likely already having many good pieces laying around. Aglaea can use all three stats that it gives efficiently.
HSR Aglaea Planar Sets
The Wondrous BananAmusement Park
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 16%. When a target summoned by the wearer is on the field, CRIT DMG additionally increases by 32%.
This set gives a lot of Crit Damage, however the secondary effect only affects Aglaea herself and not Garmentmaker. Still, 48% raw Crit Damage is a lot of free stats and helps Aglaea focus more on Crit Rate and Speed on her other pieces.
Rutilant Arena
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer’s current CRIT Rate reaches 70% or higher, DMG dealt by Basic ATK and Skill increases by 20%.
Most of Aglaea’s damage comes from her Enhanced Basic Attack so this Planar set is a great option for her.
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When entering battle, if at least one teammate follows the same Path as the wearer, then the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 12%.
Izumo gives a lot of Crit Rate but is only a viable option if Aglaea is to be used with a Remembrance Support such as Remembrance Trailblazer.
Firmament Frontline: Glamoth
- 2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG.
Since Aglaea’s Speed in combat far surpasses the 160 marks required for Glamoth, this set is a good alternative.
HSR Aglaea Teammates
Aglaea has a huge max energy cap at 350, higher than every unit released thus far. Since most of her power lies in her Supreme Stance, she highly appreciates any teammates who provide large energy injections. Beyond this, she prefers units that can provide a boost to both her and Garmentmaker, and other standard damage buffs that Crit-based DPS enjoy. Buffers / Debuffers that can provide permanent uptime are highly valuable to Aglaea since she will act a lot, so buffs that depend on her turn will expire quickly.
Harmony/Nihility
Sunday
Sunday is the strongest support for Aglaea due to him being able to advance both her and Garmentmaker at the same time, on top of other buffs such as Crit Rate and Damage%. Furthermore, Sunday’s Ultimate gives Aglaea 70 flat Energy, which helps her Energy situation a lot.
Robin
Thanks to Aglaea’s extremely high attack frequency with Garmentmaker, she is one of the best abusers of Robin’s Ultimate additional damage proc, and also charges Robin’s energy bar quickly in return. Robin’s Action Advance on her Ultimate will also advance Garmentmaker as well, further increasing Aglaea’s attack frequency. They both share a lot of common preferred teammates such as Sunday, Remembrance Trailblazer, and Huohuo, making this a powerful combination.
Remembrance Trailblazer
Due to Aglaea’s high energy cap, she will receive the maximum amount of RMC’s True Damage boost. Beyond the Action Advance and Damage boost that RMC can provide, Garmentmaker in return will also help charge Mem faster due to RMC’s E2 effect.
Ruan Mei
Similar to Tribbie, Ruan Mei’s buffs are entirely tied to her turn so she is a good option for Aglaea’s team. Ruan Mei also provides 10% Speed to help Aglaea reach her Speed breakpoint more easily, but in terms of damage boost, Ruan Mei is not as amplifying as Tribbie, Robin, and Sunday.
Tingyun
Tingyun is the F2P option to charge Aglaea’s Energy with her Ultimate. Tingyun is also a good holder of Dance Dance Dance to further improve Aglaea’s attack frequency if speed-tuned well.
Bronya
Bronya and Sunday is a good duo for characters with Summon as Bronya can advance Sunday then Sunday would advance the DPS and their Summon again. Aglaea being quite SP friendly also helps with Bronya spamming her skill more often.
Sustain
Huohuo
Huohuo is the best sustain for Aglaea. Her ultimate, similarly to Sunday, provides a whopping 70 flat Energy to Aglaea, and 40% Attack buffs for both her and Garmentmaker. However, since Huohuo’s Ultimate is teamwide, it also affects Robin, Sunday, and RMC, the three premier Supports for Aglaea that love extra Energy. Aglaea’s high attack frequency also helps charge Huohuo’s Ultimate as well via her trace, and her low SP demand lets Huohuo use her Skills a lot more often.
Gallagher
Gallagher is the F2P option that can use Quid Pro Quo / Shared Feeling Light Cone the best to help the Aglaea team get more energy.
HSR Aglaea Teams
Aglaea Standard Crit-Based DPS Team
Can also replace either Sunday/Robin with RMC (Remembrance Trailblazer)
Aglaea team will generally want two out of Sunday, Robin and RMC, with Sunday being the strongest support for her, and Huohuo as her ideal sustain. While she does not have an overt team restriction like Acheron or Firefly, without these Support units her performance will fall off quite noticeably.
HSR Aglaea Pull Value and Conclusion
As far as raw damage output goes, Aglaea is outstanding and is the strongest Lightning Damage Dealer on her release, and easily amongst the top 3 overall DPS for Memory of Chaos. She can easily cut through most Memory of Chaos stages with ease with her cookie-cutter team. Aglaea’s main problem as a DPS is that she is not as ubiquitous in the other two end-game modes, being a Blast character without any innate Break-related mechanics, but she should still do decently.
In terms of pull value, Aglaea is a great choice for any player without an invested Lightning DPS and has some of the pieces for her ideal team. Beyond that, as strong as she is, Aglaea definitely can be skipped without much problem.
