Season 2 Journey Rewards, Chapters, and Requirements

The Season of Blood is live, and with it comes several new tasks for players to take on. It starts off easy, then eventually accelerates towards more challenging objectives.

At the end, you’ll be up against the toughest bosses in the game! But don’t worry, the Season Journey will help hold your hand along the way.

As this is now our second Season, I’ll re-summarize the benefits and requirements of the Season Journey, along with the changes made for Season 2.

What are the benefits of the Season 2 Journey?

The Season Journey offers players a nice chunk of rewards as they play and progress through the game. These come in the form of gear, upgrade materials, aspects, along with a few exclusive mount cosmetics and titles. It’s a way to help kickstart your fresh seasonal character and make the progression easier and more enjoyable. What’s great is these rewards fall in line with the Season-exclusive content, meaning you won’t have to go out of your way to get them.

Additionally, the Season Journey is the key way to earn Favor and progress the Battle Pass. While the track rewards are mostly cosmetic, the Battle Pass also includes Smoldering Ashes, which is the necessary ingredient to unlocking our Season Blessings!

What are the requirements in order to complete the Season 2 Journey?

In order to complete the entire Season Journey and unlock every exclusive reward, you’ll likely need to hit level 100, or at the very least 90+. The final tier of objectives are no joke, so you’ll need to gear appropriately and make your character as strong as possible! Fortunately with Season 2, the experience rate has greatly improved, and so players can expect to reach max level a lot faster (estimated 40% faster to 100).

Another big change is that players are no longer required to have completed the campaign in order to access the seasonal content. The “Skip Campaign” option is now available to everyone.

Completing the Season Journey will be no easy feat, but compared to Season 1, it’s a lot further within reach!

Recommended Path

These are my recommended objectives to complete on your way from Chapter I to IV. The ones in bold text are my tasks of choice for completing the Season Journey as soon as possible. Beyond Chapter IV, there’s the Slayer, Champion, and Destroyer tiers. These objectives are far more difficult and I believe the optimal path will vary between players. I’ll leave them up to you.

Of course, feel free to choose which tasks suit you best. This is just my personal recommendation, but play the game in whichever way you enjoy most!

Important Note: In case you aren’t aware, all objective progress stacks from one chapter to the next. This means that anything you’ve completed already will count towards the next chapter’s progress! Plan accordingly and you’ll easily kill two birds with one stone, or perhaps more!

Chapter 1 is incredible easy. Honestly, you can pick any six of these and finish it in no time. Though if you’re looking for speed, I would recommend the above options. Gathering plants is necessary for the future, and 10 Reddamine is nothing. A World Event only takes a couple of minutes, and one cellar can be finished in seconds.

Salvaging items, equipping pact armor, and activating a vampiric power will all be done naturally as you begin playing through the seasonal content. You can’t miss them, they’re a given.

• Add or Remove Pacts from Armor
• Craft a Gem

Chapter 2 brings some more defined tasks to direct players through to around level 30 (or sooner). Many of these tie into the Blood Harvest events, so as long as you’re focusing on the new content, you’ll knock the majority of these off the list all within the same area.

You’ll be completing Whispers throughout the Blood Harvest, so it’s only natural that you’ll obtain at least a few Tree of Whispers Caches. Blood Seekers, vampiric powers, and modifying pact armor is all part of the adventure. Mob density is quite good in these areas, so reaching level 25 and upgrading your potion is just a matter of time.

Waypoints are handy to have, so conquering a Stronghold is always worth the time, and quick enough to complete. As for the Codex, you actually won’t need to complete many dungeons at all. The five aspects awarded from Chapter 1 count towards the eight. Additionally, you’ll have already completed at least one dungeon through the seasonal questline, plus another for your priority class quest. So at most, do one more dungeon? Piece of cake!

• Upgrade to Light Potion
• Reach Reputation Level 3 in Blood Harvest
• Destroy 7 Blood Blisters
• Upgrade a Vampiric Power to Level 2
• Defeat 12 Blood Seekers
• Purify 700 Seeds of Hatred
• Open a Silent Chest
• Complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon
• Equip Pact Armor with 5+ Engraved Pacts

Once again, the objectives continue to focus around the Blood Harvest events. Caches, blood blisters, vampiric powers, and pact armor will all be a breeze. There’s a good chance these objectives are already complete before you’ve even finished Chapter 2.

We’ll need another two Strongholds, plus eight additional aspects. But we’ve just acquired five more from Chapter 2, so we really only need three! Potions and elixirs are two more freebie tasks, both requiring the click of a button to complete (once materials are obtained).

As with every single character ever, the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon is in integral part of progression. It has to be done in order to unlock endgame content, so of course it’s a given on this list.

Lastly, I’ve listed the Silent Chest, as it’s quite likely you’ll have found at least one up to this point. If for whatever reason you haven’t, the other Blood Harvest options are likely easier. In fact, they may come naturally alongside the others, though it’s hard to judge the timeframe compared to the other tasks.

• Upgrade a Vampiric Power to Level 3
• Defeat the Echo of Varshan in World Tier III (Nightmare)
• Equip Pact Armor with 5+ Identical Engraved Pacts

You may have noticed I’ve only highlighted eight of nine tasks. This is because these eight tasks closely align with the general progression and seasonal content, where as the others slightly stray off the main path. If I were to recommend the ninth option purely based on speed, it would be the PvP option. However, this isn’t always an option, and your mileage may vary greatly. If PvP isn’t for you, take your pick of the bosses.

At this point we’re in World Tier III, and so then it’s time to venture into Nightmare Dungeons. We’ll naturally use enough sigils, upgrade glyphs, and eventually complete a tier 10+ dungeon. Plus with the rewards earned, upgrading two items to level 4 should be no problem whatsoever.

The other half goes back to Blood Harvests, and again, there’s a solid chance some of these are already completed. While the Echo of Varshan may not sound like a direct tie-in, don’t forget, you’ll be doing Whispers throughout your time in the Blood Harvest. The parts will come inevitably, and so will the opportunity to defeat Varshan!

Beyond Chapters I to IV, the Season Journey will help guide you through the end game. The path is yours to choose, but if you ever need some direction, the objectives are a great signpost to help lead you in the right direction.
