Deadlock Lash Abilities
Ground Strike (1)
Stomp the ground beneath you, damaging enemies in front of you. If you perform Ground Strike while airborne, you quickly dive towards the ground. Damage grows slower after 25m.
- Maxing the aerial dive allows you to cast it more often, adds a knock-up and slow making it harder for characters to run, and finally improves damage and scaling significantly.
Tip
- If you need to use this when not airborne remember to double jump to get more damage out of your spell since it scales based on distance to ground. For example, when farming creeps.
- Master using ziplines to get verticality on your opponents and hitting a powerful ground strike which can often win the skirmish for you.
Grapple (2)
Pull yourself through the air toward a target and grant yourself a weapon damage bonus. This bonus stacks independently. Using Grapple also restores one stamina charge and all air jumps and dashes.
- Maxing one of the best mobility skills in the game allows you to cast it more often, increases the range at which you can cast, and gives you a damage buff culminating with a massive damage buff at max rank.
Tip
- Use this on friendly units, champs and even buildings like towers. It’s an incredible escape tool as well as offensive initiation.
- Grapple will help you get vertical position and distance after ziplining. Combine with double jump and you have a lot of skill expression to work with.
- Heck, you can even grapple after grappling for even more shenanigans, but it leaves you without an escape.
Flog (3)
Strike enemies with your whip, stealing life from them.
- This vamp skill can be ranked up to slow enemies, reduce the cooldown, and finally do more damage and hinder enemy offensive capabilities.
Tip
- You can heal vs creeps in a pinch, but if you poke a hero with this you will heal for a lot more. Remember that when using the longer cooldown version early on.
Death Slam (4)
Focus on enemies to connect whips to them. After channeling, connected enemies are lifted and stunned then slammed into the ground. Your victims and any enemies in the landing zone will be damaged and slowed.
Press [LMC] to throw connected enemies early. Enemies that are not in line of sight or go out of range during the latch time will not be grabbed.
- Maxing your ultimate makes you able to catch enemies from further away, do more damage, and then eventually cast it more frequently. It’s incredibly powerful when used correctly and you can catch whole teams.
Tip
- You can throw people anywhere you want with this move, so try and alley oop your teammates, especially if its a stalemate and you catch someone out.
- Remember this character relies on verticality, so use grapple to get some good vintage on people.
